Fairfield Inn & Suites Pigeon Forge

Good breakfast. Great cookies in lobby. Decent rates. Good location across from outlet mall. Small outdoor pool.

I rate chains based on how well they live up to the brand standards, and this Fairfield delivered everything I would expect from a Fairfield Inn. The location is great, next door to a LongHorn and across the street from the outlet mall. Yes, walking over is entirely possible. The rooms are modern, fresh, and clean. A stand out was the hot breakfast which was decidedly better than average, I think due to the cool induction chaffing dishes they have. As is typical, cookies and lemonaid as you check in.
A few very minor nits, the bathroom is not really small, but the layout requires a door/​commode dance, at least in the room we occupied. The pool was missing a couple of tiles, but I imagine they can’t fix that until the off season. And here’s a strange one, the entrance portico and vestibule seem, well, an afterthought. It’s not an impressive entrance, and could easily have been 10 times better.
The landscaping is far better than average and the lobby /​breakfast area also looked to be finished a notch better than some other Fairfield’s I’ve been in recently.
This property does not offer the local flavor and amenities of some of the nearby hotels, but does offer convenience and great value.
