They didn’t close — they just moved their store. But unless their customer service improves, the move won’t be helping business. The young man behind the counter is unwelcoming, has an attitude, is unfamiliar with the menu and could care less about his customers. My husband and I went in for lunch, but with the greeting and service we received, we didn’t stick around. Walked out and across the street to a much friendlier location. In an industry where customer service is your income driver, you need to make sure your front man is on point all day every day. We will stick to twice a year hams and we won’t be making this locale a part of our regular lunch visits.

I grew up on these hams, and frankly Easter isn’t the same without them. I’ve tried other store bought hams, and no one seems to be able to replicate their version. My biggest complaint recently(besides the high price tag) has been their glazing technique. I’m pretty sure they do this in store, so if anyone on staff is reading this please please make sure that every ham is coated with those sweet, crunchy bits. Though our 4 lb ham was almost free of any fat or other inedibles, it only offered up a a nugget or two of those honey glaze chips that make this porker a stand out. Otherwise, the ham was a winner. Not too salty, excellent quality, and always served up with a smile.

My first visit here was easily a one star. I had purchased a groupon for 1 pound of ham and sides. I called to place my order with 24 hours notice and set a pick up time. When I arrived they were closed. They failed to inform me my pick up time was their closing time. The staff member there closing up said he couldn’t help me because he already closed the register. I was on my way to a family gathering and this was supposed to be dinner. It really screwed up my plans and cost me money putting something together last minute. I tried again a week later and actually got my food. The ham was very good but the sides and rolls were not that good. Everything was full of mayo or oil and left me feeling greasy. I won’t be back unless they of a great deal on one of their hams.

Never mind Subway, Honeybaked Ham is the way to go. Sweet ham on a buttery, flaky, soft croissant(just the way I like it) with honey dijon sauce, lettuce and tomato at $ 4. Very few location, less known but it is better tasting and more value. You can choose from variety of sandwich style and not be hurried out. It also sells special sauces, special ocassion family portion pre-cooked meat and sides such as green beans, macaroni, and mashed potatoes, to name a few. Everything is to go, no seating available but you’ll be happy to go home that your meal will satisfy hungry family for dinner.

They have the best boxed lunches. I always get ham and cheese on kaiser with extra honey mustard. It comes with a can of soda, side, and desert. It’s like $ 7. Pure heaven as promised. The sides are pretty good. I like the potato salad and maccaroni salad. My friend gets the fruit salad, its very small for a fruit salad. The desert is a choice of a cookie, fruit or a black bottom cupcake. Duh, black bottom! And it is chocolately cream cheesey goodness, definately home made tasting.
