Lasik Vision Institute gave me by far the most disappointing customer service experience of my life. Like many others, I heard the ads on the radio, got the emails. Well you know the saying«if it’s too good to be true, it probably is?» Boy did they drive that message home. We’ve all heard the offer of $ 299.00 per eye right? I was dumb enough to believe them. I fell for it hook line and sinker. I made an appointment, went through all the tests, got my pupils dilated, all the rigmarole. Their billing person wasn’t in that day so they said someone would contact me in a couple days to discuss pricing. The next Monday they called to tell me the GREAT news! I was a candidate for Lasik! And for only $ 4,200.00 I could have perfect vision! Wait. What? What happened to $ 299.00 per eye? Look, I’m no dummy. I know that’s a price to get you into the door. I know there’s going to be some bait and switch. SOME. But to go from around $ 600.00 to more than $ 4,000 is beyond bait and switch. It’s fraud, or something close to it. So I emailed the rep that had been confirming my appointments. I said all of this to them in that email and did not receive a single response. If you are in the market for good vision, and aren’t we all? Avoid this company, do your homework and find one more honest and up front. Don’t let them get your hopes up, only to dash them like they did with mine.

I got LASIK done several weeks ago here. Everyone is very nice, especially Charity, the finance lady, and their optometrist, Dr. Mader. I found a good deal on Groupon and decided to purchase it to get the surgery here. I scheduled an evaluation, where they dilated my eyes and examined them for over an hour. I was happy with the level of detail they put into making sure I was a good candidate, which luckily I was. Surgery was very easy to schedule as well — only need to schedule 2 – 3 weeks in advance, if that. For the most part, I have been happy with the results. However, it has been over two weeks and one of my eyes is still very blurry, which is abnormal. I have followed all instructions and put the drops in as instructed. Right before going into surgery, I asked the surgeon how long on each eye it would take. I was told they were treating both eyes for the same prescription, so it was six seconds on each eye. However, my one eye was .50 stronger, so I was concerned. I told the surgeon and he reassured me this is what the doctor instructed was needed. Well two weeks later and I cannot see clearly out of that one eye… Why would they fix both eyes the same when one has a much stronger prescription? I am thinking I will definitely need a second surgery in a few months to fix it again. This just makes the whole process inconvenient, especially since I will probably have to pay for the eye drops(cost over $ 130) and go to follow-up appointments all over again(there are 3 scheduled within your first 3 months after the surgery). I also was concerned with the high-volume amount of patients they see. When I got my LASIK, I was in and out of the operating room in 10 minutes. I went right after someone and then two other people were waiting to go after me. The surgeon looked at my eyes for maybe 30 seconds each, after the surgery, and told me I was good to go. It felt somewhat rushed. However, if this whole thing works out and I can see perfectly, it will be worth it. I only wish they would have fixed my eyes correctly the first time. I would recommend this place if you are getting a good deal, but would probably look elsewhere if not. I only paid $ 1,400 for LASIK on both eyes, which includes a year of updates, and it would have been over $ 4,000 if I did not have the Groupon deal. I would not have paid that much for this place. You can find lower prices(with more detailed, knowledgeable doctors/staff) elsewhere.

This place is ok kinda hard to find kinda felt the finance lady or whatever was very very pushy, I’m gonna check out some other lasik places In the area. Also they called the regular lasik surgery«basic“and«traditional» which pressured me into getting the higher HD customized version. Which of course is more money. I will update my review when I shop around. Also some people working there were wearing glasses kinda strange if ur in the lasik business
