Horrible. Service was slow and there was a piece of cheese floating in my wife’s soda. My steak ordered med rare was well done and my wife’s «prime rib sandwich» was more akin to a Banquet meal for one Salisbury steak. We both got sick afterwards. Will never return.

Quick and friendly service, good sized portions – chowder was good, halibut burger very good, Mediterranean chicken sandwich was okay. Price for products acceptable. Men’s restroom clean

This place is one of the better restaurants in Sequim. They are known for their seafood and their burgers. I ordered the seafood platter which came with 4 pieces of fried shrimp, 2 pieces of fried beer battered cod, fries, coleslaw, and two pieces of garlic bread with a side of tartar sauce as well as ketchup and vinegar. My friend ordered the French dip plate which came with a roast beef sandwich some au jus and a side of fries. The seafood platter shrimp was is a bit overcooked. The fries are on the bigger side like JoJo’s. So it wasn’t crispy. Of the beer battered cod looked like football but was the best part of the dish because it was crispy and moist on the inside. The cole slaw tasted just like coleslaw I could get at any fast food place. Garlic bread was crunchy but had a garlic powder butter flavor taste. The customer service was very good. They even gave a pitcher of water to my friend and me which we completely finished. My friend was fine with the french dip. I didn’t get to try any of hers.

Pretty decent place… there’s a bunch of other places I would go first in Sequim, but it’s pretty good for big helpings of good comfort food. The staff was really great, and the décor was nice. Wouldn’t take a date here, but I’d come again if I was in the mood for that kind of food.

This isn’t exactly an ideal place for a hot date, but if you are ok with the feel all day early bird special, definately give this place a try. I have a feeling this is the hangout for the elderly populace of Sequim, because my boyfriend and I were a bit of an oddity as the youngest people eating there by a good 30 – 40 years. However, the food was so good and plentiful. I had the fresh salad, but I also stole a few bites of the tastey chowder. I had the steak and prawns, which also had the suprise of onion rings and garlic bread. No one in my party went hungry and were please with everything. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, our drinks never ran dry. If you want glamor, move on. If you want a happy tummy, give this place a try.

I ordered the 2−2−2(2 eggs, 2 bacon or sausage, 2 French toast or pancakes). Under $ 8.00 It was so good! The best French toast I ever had. I’ve gotten used to the expectation of soggy French toast. This was hot and crisp without being over-cooked. This is the best breakfast in Sequim hands-down! The place is clean(& crowded). The owner came out from the kitchen to help carry and serve coffee. You aren’t rushed and can just sit and enjoy your coffee. Don’t bother with Hwy 101 Diner, IHOP or heaven-forbid Black Bear. Come here and have a great breakfast!

My father and I entered the restaurant at 630 on 3÷13÷15. No staff was present to seat us, we didn’t mind. We found our own seat and waited for someone to help us or just come by to say hi, no one came. We waited approx 7 minutes with no help then quietly walked out. There were about three tables occupied at the time with customers constantly looking over their shoulder to find help as well. The staff must have been very busy and attentive to the private party area, but not to the customers in the main restaurant. This was my first time to Mariners. I’m not sure I’ll give them another go. I’m sure the food is great and the staff friendly. We just never got to find out… Their specials for that night were a fisherman’s plate a well as a NJ cheese burger.

Nice atmosphere, painted a pretty blue, spacious seating. I ate the Reuben Sandwich with fries. Fries(to me) were the best thing on the plate. Mom and sister had fish n chips(those looked better.) Waitress was friendly. They have an extensive menu, something for everyone.

Recommended by locals, so gave it a try. My colleague had grilled breaded oysters which were superb, I had a half chef salad which was huge! it came with real meat, not deli sliced meat. we would eat there again if in the area.

(EDIT: my review is for the old location. It’s now at the other end of town) I grew up in Sequim and never ate here all those years. Now decades later I finally went in for breakfast and got exactly what I expected all along. Ya, it’s good olé standard grub, nothing special to note at any level. Coffee was refilled as needed, newspapers piled around to stare at while eating. It reminds me of Flippers without the old wood paneling. An ideal place to go when you’re hung over and needing inexpensive quiet meal to help recover with.

This is pretty standard fare. The food is good enough, the service is very fast, and the portions are big, nothing fancy just a good solid café.

The food here is decent; there’s a pretty good variety of seafood, burgers, and pie, as well as some steak and chicken dishes. The service was about average. Nothing to write home about. The atmosphere is very family friendly and old fashioned. Bring your senior discount card — it seems like it’s popular with the older folks… Think Country Kitchen Buffet :-P Prices were very reasonable, especially if you’re used to city cost of living. Overall, a solid place to get a good ol’ fashioned meal.

Well this is your typically small town café experience. You don’t go in expect tons, and you don’t leave setting your calendar for the next time you will visit. Lots of egg/bacon/sausage/biscuit/hash brown type combo choices for a reasonable price. Much more reasonable than a Black Bear or Oak Table… but it shows in the presentation and ingredients in my opinion. Highlight of my meals there whenever I visit are the super thin/fluffy scrambled eggs(the way I like them) and the biscuits and gravy. The lowlights are always the coffee and hash browns. I’m not sure why, but the hash browns always taste off to me… maybe it is too much oil? I see why Mariners remains popular, but it is not my first choice for breakfast in Sequim.

I feel like this place deserves more reviews, but their regular clientele is older, so they don’t get them. We got great service and a solid meal that was as good as you could expect in a casual café setting. What took my rating from 4 stars to 5 was their berry crumble pie. Holy cow. Possibly one of the best pies I’ve ever eaten.
