Another good place to take a toddler on a rainy day. It is just one room but brimming with stuffed birds and animals representing local wildlife. There are volunteer bird enthusiasts eager to tell you everything they know. I found it a little irritating that I couldn’t shake one, especially after he didn’t get my Michigan wolverines joke, and I almost knocked off a star for it, but I suppose not everyone shares my dislike for friendly, helpful people.
Tip: if the Audubon Center is open, go inside to use the bathroom. Don’t assume that the nasty one outside is the only one, like I did. I’ll spare you the details.
