The entrée was good. The waitress recommended some weird corn shit as my side and it tasted like shit though.

We went to southern ground last night full of expectations. The night started well but went downhill fast. More than an hour to get the drink order, then the appetizers came and there was hair in the cheese dip. No apology offered. The main meal came and I will confess it was fantastic(OMG burger) then we waited more than an hour to get our check. We were with a group of 15 but independent checks. Even though we had extremely poor service an rude management. They tipped themselves liberally. When challenged about the service, the management did not seem to care at all. We will not be back. We were there 3 hours, most of that spent waiting and confused due to lack of service. The restaurant was in no way busy and we know why

First off let me say that the food was delicious. I got one carne asada taco and one brisket taco with a side of mac n queso. I actually really enjoyed this food. What I did not enjoy was the food poisoning I got from it. Violent throwing up, chills the whole 9 for about 4 hours. I am positive it was the food from this restaurant because I did not eat from anywhere else the rest of the night. Like I said the food was good but they need to step up their food safety practices. Looks like I will go somewhere else next time I visit GA.

Came to Senoia to see Walking Dead locations. I was told to check out this restaurant and was interested considering its owned by Country music star, Zac Brown. Great customer service. None of the staff were rude or impolite even though it was a busy Saturday. I ordered the OMG Burger and I have to admit it wasn’t a bad burger. The Mac and cheese is also worth checking out. Very clean as well. Something I found interesting is that if anything you see you can buy! From the lamps to the art work it can be purchased and is curated by Zac himself. If you’re in the area come check this place out!

Great little spot! Yummy food and drink! The Georgia Cuban was delish! Busy on a Saturday afternoon. Table service was slow but once food was ordered, it came out fast. Worth a visit if you are in Senoia area!

OMG! The Chef Special was by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had! It was not your typical Jambalaya, Josh prepared it with a whole andouille sausage, jumbo shrimp and mahi-mahi over some of the best dirty rice ever!

Laid back ambiance, good for talking with friends, having a drink or dinner. Live music plays from next door. Menu is varied. Very good cheese, bacon and corn dip, tacos, rib eye, Cuban sandwiches. End the meal with Carmel, apple cobbler and vanilla ice cream

I really wanted to like this place. For one, I like Senoia. Cutest little town ever, but every time we go, all the shops are closed(annoying — I need to Unilocal the town). Second, I just like to see cool restaurants succeed. I think this one will do well just because Zac Brown is involved(not a fan, but he’s a Georgia boy so can’t hate that). My husband and I drove over for our anniversary dinner. We wanted to get out of Griffin without going to Atlanta, and French Market in Locust Grove is kind of over with me. We got to Senoia around 5:30−6ish, intending to walk around before dinner. Everything was closed, so we went ahead and grabbed drinks and an app at the bar. Staff was friendly and knew the menu. We didn’t go too crazy with the app — we ordered the queso. For $ 8, I didn’t expect a bowl of plain cheese. At the very least, it should have come with the option to add jalapenos or a small bowl of salsa for a little extra«umph.» Instead, we paid $ 2.95 for a la carte salsa. Not happy about that. The chips didn’t seem fresh, and we maybe had a handful of actual chips — the rest were tiny broken chips. Moving on to the entrees. We perused the menu and asked several questions. I thought I’d try the OMG burger, but I couldn’t get past the meshing of all the meat in one patty. For one, I’m not big on lamb OR pork. I asked if they maybe had an all beef burger they could dress with the yumminess that comes on the OMG burger. I got a big fat«no» there. Alrighty then. Back to the drawing board. I kicked around the idea of the chicken quesadilla, but it’s $ 16. SIXTEENDOLLARS for a chicken quesadilla. I’m sorry, but no. I also thought the tacos were a bit pricey at $ 6 – 8 for ONE taco. I would expect it to be generous, but I noticed our neighbor ordered one, and it was just your everyday taco that comes all alone on a plate in a little taco stand. My husband was able to identify an entrée pretty quickly. He went with the Georgia Gold BBQ Pork Sandwich with a side of the corn. I tried a fork full of the pocket knife coleslaw, and it was tasty. I made the HUGE mistake of ordering the Smoked Chile Caesar salad with chicken. I appreciate a good presentation, and this was gorgeous. My plate came out, and I was impressed; however, I did not enjoy the WORK it took to finally make my food edible. For one, it came out COVERED in chili corn crisps, not«sprinkled» as the menu describes. Then, the lettuce comes out in romaine bunches propped upright against each other(I feel like I can’t properly describe it). Basically, it looks like someone grabbed the lettuce by the spine, ripped it all away from the core, cut it into three sections, and sat it upright on the plate. I’ve never seen a salad presented this way. Think a wedge salad on crack, with romaine. The dressing tastes more like a southwestern ranch versus caesar. The chicken was a little weird. Some pieces were tough, while others tender, but the flavor was good. Unfortunately, the salad just pissed me off. I hate having to chop and cut and work THAT hard just to eat a salad. I’m also not a fan of the spine/corner of the romaine lettuce, and that’s all I got. My husband was pleased with his choice, so I don’t think he’s turned off from ever going back. He was disappointed for me because he knew how excited I was for a night out and a good meal, and I just don’t feel like my expectations were met. After this novel, two main suggestions for SGSC — get a burger on the menu. Just do it. Not everyone wants 10 ounces of hodgepodge meat. Second, a little less work for the customer on the salad. Seriously. I took me 10 minutes to chop that thing. It was an innovative way to position the lettuce; however, it was 100% lost on me and I imagine I’m not the only one. Everything else is perfect. Great beer/wine, good service, nice atmosphere, cool patrons.

Super cool atmosphere/vibe and then you get your meal… Which is to die for! This place is amazing. We actually visited two nights in a row because it was that great. For dinner on our first night we ordered tacos, Mexican street corn(sooo good) and a heaping bowl of grits with black beans, queso and onions. Absolutely perfect. The second night we decided to come in for drinks and more Mexican street corn, because yes, we dreamed about it the night before. We sat at the super chill back bar To have beers, margaritas and street corn. Sheri was our bartender and that girl husseled and was so awesome. The back bar has a really cool set up for live music above the bar and Alchemy rocked us through the night until close. Next time I’m in Senoia we will be hitting this place back for sure!

Located about 30 minutes south of the airport sits the SGSC. This restaurant/bar takes up two buildings in historic senoia. It’s very clean and has amazing decorations and wood work. The bathrooms were in good shape. All the profit goes as donation to Zac Browns Camp Southern Ground. We were taken to our seats right away and given menus but then it took about 12 – 13 minutes for anyone else to acknowledge us. The server came to our table with an attitude. She was very«short» with us and very impatient. Huffing and puffing as we asked questions just smacking away on her gum or candy. It took quite a while to get our drinks. She took our order and to our surprise our food was served in a timely manner and was freaking delicious. The menu has southern country cooking style items and some Mexican cuisine. Deserts were great too … Cobbler The server never dropped her attitude and I could tell it just wasn’t her. Most of the employees had attitude. Not sure what the problem with the employees is but get it together.

Completely mixed review of this restaurant. We started with the pimento cheese dip. It was so good I could have licked the bowl. We split several dishes amongst the table for our entrees. One of these was the OMG burger. We loved the flavor, but because of the lamb, it had to be cooked well. This made it dry. We also tried the brisket taco. This was the best taco I have ever eaten! My daughter had the kids chicken quesadilla with the Mac and queso. The waitress was very considerate and put her food in the cooler so it was cool enough for her to eat when the meal was delivered. It was ordinary and nothing to write home about. The same goes for the carne asada taco and the fried corn. There were several other dishes we wanted to try, but the price and mixed review might make us decide not to go back.

The food is 3 stars: The prices are high and there are strange combinations of flavors. I have a few menu items I stick to because I know they’re good. The burger is good, but has a very strong sage kick. I like it but my husband hates it. I love the Mac n Queso, but it is heavy. I typically come here to drink. I can’t eat the heavy pasta/cheese and drink much. Lol! The tacos are my go-to pick. There are a couple choices and I like most of them. My husband LOVES all of their tacos. The cocktails are 5 stars: The tres santos is my favorite! The live music is almost always 5 stars! There’s usually a wait…3 stars(There are fun bar games to play while waiting on the restaurant side, though.) The bar is always slow! It takes a while to get a drink…2 stars The ambience is fun/unique…5 stars This place has its low and high points, but overall, I really enjoy it and go regularly!

Great eclectic atmosphere(kind of wish we could have seen what it looked like at night). Walked in for a Friday lunch with no wait and had a friendly, knowledgeable server. My fried green tomato BLT was very tasty and the side of black beans and rice had great flavor. Loved that my sweet tea came with a stick of real sugar cane– nice touch! After my husband and I finished eating we placed some darts, too. Would be cool to come back for a show at night.

The menu is «new south» which seems to be all the rage right now. I am digging that trend actually. Love me some greens, cornbread, and BBQ. I have been coming here for a while and I like the evolution of the menu, it started very limited, but has blossomed into something much better! I drink beer, only good beer, not swill. They have good beer, therefore, it pushes it over the top. I would normally give it a «4», but since JJ trashed it, I am going with the«5»!

Since this is pretty much the only place to go out in downtown Senoia, it gains 4 stars for having a great drink list, live music, and good eats. We came on a Saturday night in February. We enjoyed sundowners at our hotel and then walked over without a res. We were told it would be a bit of a wait, which was no big deal — we found seats at the bar and made friends with locals. First off, the wine list is great — Robert Sinskey, heyoooo! Despite the prevalence of one of our favorite wineries on the list, I went for a margarita and was mightily rewarded. Don’t let the price tag fool you — at $ 10, you’re wondering, what kind of rita will it be? A GIANT one, my friend. A GIANT one. And its delicious. Just enjoy yourself and take in the crazy decorated bar. We were seated and had a really fun waiter. I don’t know what I was thinking, but I ordered the mac & queso with brisket. My mistake — this was HUGE and while comfort food heaven on the chilly night, I barely got through the meal. When I was done, it looked like I had barely eaten it. Note: please share this entrée if you get it! Giant portion alert! Hubby got the OMG burger, which was also really good and hit the spot. When I come back, I will hone in on some tacos, which I think might have been better, portion wise. After dinner, since we could hear the live music just fine by the bar, we played darts for a reallllly long time, which was super fun. Thanks SGSC for a great date night in Senoia! Looking forward to returning!

This was a great spot right along Main Street in quaint and cozy Senoia. We went on the early side after an afternoon of walking stalking, so we had no trouble finding seats to accommodate our group of nine. Service was quick and attentive. We started with the pimento cheese cornbread bites, and they were everything we hoped they would be. Absolutely delicious. For dinner, I had the carnitas and barbacoa tacos. The barbacoa taco was definitely the win. The beef brisket was bursting with flavor, and the pickled onions and deep fried(yes, I said deep fried) tortilla were the perfect accompaniments, making this taco a special, unique find. A friend had the pollo taco, and it looked every bit as good, also deep fried and stuffed with pimento cheese. I ordered the papas y chorizo as a side, but left wishing I had ordered the street corn. It looked amazing. Great fun, great service, great food. I would definitely return.

Not the best service when we came in around 9:45 one night but the next day was just right. I’m a huge country fan and I love fried green tomatoes so we checked it out while we were staying down the street. Very nice and friendly service, large space, clean, and the food was pretty great. We got the street corn, fried green tomatoes, fish tacos, and the albondigas. I expected a tiny little street taco and a small side of corn and was pleasantly surprised by the abundance of pretty delicious food. Would come back just for the corn next time I’m in Senoia!

So here’s my review. 5 of us chose to eat and drink here. .bad decision. The restaurant had a fair amount of customers there, but far from over the top. The hostess was frantic. We were finally seated. The waitresses took several minutes to get to us. She took our drink and appetizer order. From here it got worse. We waited over 20 minutes for our drinks. The waitress said one of the bartenders had a break down and everything was shut down and complained about the bar, but she never brought utensils, napkins, plates, etc. The margaritas were awful along with a drink my wife got that the bartender had no idea on how to make so the waitress asked us how to. hello? Use Google. Don’t bother the customer. Anyway we really never seen our waitress. we had to continually get the attention of other staff. We decided not to order dinner and it was so fine with the waitress. I don’t think we would come to this restaurant again. He zack, you need to reorganize and have your staff retrained. I will say the cheese dip was good even though it took the staff 15 minute’s to find a lighter to light the candle to keep the cheese warm. The guacamole was okay.

Aside from a bout of food poisoning that was most likely from the crab cakes here, this place had a lot going for it. It is nestled in this quaint growing town of Senoia, GA on a cute little historic Main Street where Walking Dead films(I guess). I didn’t totally get the whole Dia de Los Muertes theme and the food wasn’t quite as expected based on the website images. I did love the unique bathrooms. Definitely use the bathroom. We ordered a child’s chicken tender meal which was very large in portion for the price, nice! Also an order of Fish Tacos, which I really loved. The crab cakes were pretty fishy but sat on a tasty rice and corn pilaf sort of thing and the coleslaw was very good after adding lime and salt. We had a cobbler of the day and we devoured it before grabbing a picture. Must have been yummy! Priced decently for portions and the waitress was more than polite and patient.
