…and, just like that, it is gone. The Groggery WILL be missed!

Ummm… it’s ok to stop in for a beer. Food, not so much… frozen Sysco. Rolls are local, nothing great about them, hard crust and chewy. P.S…get rid of the carpet! Nice bar though and good service, just wish the food was better, we won’t be back.

Don’t let bad memories of the Fayette Inn prevent you from visiting because the space has been completely transformed in all the best ways possible. More pub than restaurant, there is a large selection of beer, wine and cocktails. The central bar has plenty of seating and the the projection TV makes it a great place to watch a game. The food isn’t great, but it isn’t bad. The fries are definitely the best thing on the menu.

This is a great restaurant in a small town. Wonderful atmosphere, pleasant staff, and excellent food. We will be frequenting this establishment often.

This is a new bar/restaurant located in the old Fayette Hotel on Poormon Road, 7 miles south of Seneca Falls. This is a complete remodel, new everything. The bar is square and located in the middle of the room, which is rare in this area. There is a small dining room to the left and high top tables to the right. It was a busy Friday night when we arrived. We scored 2 seats at the bar and were immediately greeted by an older gentleman. The tap selection is too generic for my taste, I ordered a Sam Adams and my partner ordered a Miller Lite. We were served heavy mugs of medium cold beer for five bucks. We asked for menus. The bartender asked a waitress to bring us menus. Weird. The menu was presented in a plastic sheet fit for a 3 ring binder. Tacky. We ordered two apps, I am too embarrassed to admit what they consisted of. For ten bucks we were full of deep fried, previously frozen ravioli, not my choice and bruschetta. I continued to read the menu, $ 9 burger, $ 27 steak. Paella?!? Scared to death! This place will do well. They have a captive audience in Fayette. The snowmobile set was evident. Lots of families. I appreciated the price for the drinks and we will be back to try that burger. Good luck Groggery! PS I almost forgot to mention the CARPETED dining room. WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY? That brand new beige carpet is going to be sticky and black from kitchen grease in 6 months.
