Oconee Humane Society

I had 2 dogs and when my older one Sasha passed both myself and my 2 year old collie mix Sammiyah were devistated. She stopped eating and moped for days as did I. Proded by my daughter and against my friends advice I decided to look into either a cat or dog for us to love. This facility is 1000 time better than the old shelter in Walhalla. I was considering 1 of the kitties, then went into see the dogs. The smell was a little strong, but, that many pets it would be hard not too. You could see that the cages were washed out often I just got there in between. Anyway, now I have a little guy I named Jake he is an Australian Shepard mix. They were calling him Scooby, but, he likes Jake and is sweet, loving and playful. He is also neutered, chipped and has had all of his shots.
