Bicycle Outfitters

Had my first experience with Bicycle Outfitters today. What a great place! People are very friendly and helpful. Service is outstanding. Nick in service did a great job adjusting my front dérailleur and made some other adjustments to my bike. Couldn’t be happier with their service. My bike is now working great. Wholeheartedly recommend Bicycle Outfitters. Great location off the Pinellas Trail.

Brought in bike for a quick tuneup. Initially they said they were busy and it would be a few days. When I told them I couldn’t wait, they agreed to do a ‘quick check’ and spent about 10 minutes on it. The cost was $ 39.99 (labor only.) I expected it would be $ 20-​$ 30 tops or even free since I also bought about $ 100 of gear. I left feeling overcharged and disappointed.

Went today for the first time. We just moved from South Tampa and were eager to find our new go-​to bike shop. Were immediately greeted by 2 dogs: Cody & Mabel– sweet, sweet, sweet! Glenn is the resident touring expert and everyone was super friendly and eager to help. We bought a Surly Long Haul Trucker :). Will be back again & again!

I was out biking on the pinellas trail and pulled off to the side to take a quick break before I was going to turn back around and a girl asked if I was alright and when I told her I was just taking a break she said the bike shop was just up the trail if I needed a cold drink. I went in and the shop is huge and so well stocked and everyone was really nice.
Thanks for helping me out when I was hot and dehydrated! I’ll definitely be back in to shop because you guys have some great inventory!

GREAT bike shop. What else is there to say?
They carry quality products, are knowledgeable and very friendly. I was upfront and honest about not being able to buy anything at the moment, but I was curious about a few things that they carry (only shop in the area to carry certain things). The guy working there gave me his full attention and bestowed as much wisdom as possible onto me. I wish I lived in the area so I could use these guys as my primary bike shop.

While in Florida I needed to rent a recumbent trike-​too crazy to ship mine from Boston. They gave me a very fair price for a month’s rental considering it was high season. The bike was in excellent tune and the people I spoke with were courteous and knowledgeable. I just read the newspaper article about the shop owner assisting amputees to ride trikes on the trail. That’s a great thing. Good karma coming!

Needed to get the bikes fixed up as they had been sitting outside for a while in this relentless Florida heat. Called several places, and this was the only place willing to take the bikes that day. Upon arriving, they took the bikes into the back for me and helped me settle on the cheapest and most efficient way to get my bikes up and running again. Everyone there was very kind. The store looked stocked with ample bike equipment, and it looked like they even had a bike-​friendly healthy café thingy in the back. The bikes were done super quickly, and was very cheap considering the shape they were in. The staff even helped me out to the car with the bikes. I will be going back, despite being a little bit of a drive, I’ve never gotten such a friendly vibe from a bike place such as the service I got here.
