Even though I am still loyal to Publix, I love ALDI. The process is a little different here. Firstly, bring a quarter. You gave to put a quarter in your cart for it to release from the rest of the carts. Don’t worry, you get your quarter back. The store is actually well designed, kind of like a maze. You’ll find tons of little things you want to pick up that you never knew you needed. Hello, lemon flavored bowtie noodles! Nice to meet you, tamale bites! It’s almost like IKEA for food! Some of the best deals include: biscoff cookies, Ramen noodles, grass fed beef, pastas, fruit, and milk. There is a pretty 50⁄50 mix of store brand and name brand foods. The store brands are usually pretty good. Their gluten free brand is a hit or miss, but their ‘Fit and Active’ brand isn’t half bad. To cut down on costs, they don’t provide bags. You can buy plastic or paper bags, bring your own bags, or skip bags all together. They are super fast during checkout and just put your items in the cart. You have to bag the items yourself on the counter after the registers. After you put your groceries in your car, return your cart back to the store. Link your cart with the others and you’ll get your quarter back. Easy! Overall, this is a super cheap place to buy basic groceries from, and they have some high quality products.
