The groom recommended Rosa Linda seeing how we were still in town for a day after the wedding. What makes this place unique, he said, was that Rosa Linda used to be a gas station. When we drove up, the limited parking spots and the layout of the front then made sense. Folks here are regulars, which we could tell as the servers familiarly greet the patrons. On Sunday noon, the place was packed. In the small parking lot, we ended up wedging into the last available spot. A 10 minute wait for a table, even with seating outside. Luckily, people were starting to clear out, so we were able to move to a table inside. The flies are everywhere outside so you’d be snacking on chips and salsa in one hand and swatting flies away with the other. For our party of two, we chose: — Plate of two tamales with pork and beef, smothered in enchilada sauce and cheese, with double servings of rice. It also comes with a small serving of lettuce. Delicious but filling due to the corn masa. $ 11.25 for two tamales. — Two item combo plate with shredded beef burrito and green chicken enchilada, with rice and beans and lettuce. A delicious and hearty meal, though not as heavy type of hearty as the tamales. Everything on this combo plate worked well together. Don’t expect a big beefy burrito you’d find at King Taco or Chipotle. Around the same size as the enchilada. $ 11.25 for two items. Solid 4 stars for food. Minus one star for the amount of flies outside! :(

I hate to give this, but I got their tacos for $ 12 and expected something that would taste like 2 tacos for $ 12. The tacos were bland. Really. The most expensive tacos I had — ever! And it sucked!

Sunday morning had the Menudo and it is the best I have tasted. It had plenty of hominy, just a Touch of hot spicy kick, was served with home made tortillas and on the side, chopped onions, lemon and cilantro. Brought memories of my mom’s home cooking. My sister had the beef stew, also called Cocido and it had plenty of meat that fell off the bone. Vegetables were cut in big chunks and the soup was clear and very tasty. Servings were pretty good size, under $ 9.00 and served with home made tortillas too. The place had a nice courtyard and the staff very friendly.

Clean, small, fresh meals but staff may be sour. I finally went to this place with hopes and hunger of being at the four star restaurant which is portrait in Unilocal but didn’t see that. The food was delicious but very small portioned for the price they had it for. I got the sampler plate which was delicious but very small. The chimichanga was very good but very confusing as it looked like a deep-fried quesadilla. It was good but it should be called a fried quesadilla instead of a chimichanga. They were out on mostly of drinks like lemonade and ice tea but had soft drinks, how convenient. Salsa was nothing special but tomato and onion, no wow factor or specialty. The chips were pretty good and big, especially homemade… I’ll give them that. Okay now to the real world, and the reason why I disliked. I hate the fact that a couple people won’t mention race but weren’t card for their usage of debit/credit card, but instead I was card. That was pretty racist and I knew the waitress was up to something when she wasn’t paying hardly any attention to my needs. But it’s cool because I will never return back if the same waitress is there. I rate this place 3.5 but the shadiness lowered it to 2.0 rating.

Everything is good here. Great menudo, pozole, and albondigas. When my wife is sick she always wants Rosa Linda’s.

Stopped by and requested a table for 7, and was told it would take 20 minutes. No problem! After the expected 25 minutes they offered a table that normally seats 4 in the middle of the restaurant. That wouldn’t work for us. Initially they were going to give us two tables moved together, but about 15 minutes into our wait they gave away two tables near the one they offered us. Disappointed.

The Chips and Salsa are even special. They seem to be paying attention to everything — GREATPLACE. I had Breakfast on a leisurly Saturday morning and this is a great place to relax. If it’s a nice day, sit outside — pretty neat.

This is a cute little Mexican spot. Friendly, family-like atmosphere, small and clean, awith a cute little patio. The food is very good, but my favorite is the tortilla soup… the bowl is HUGE, so I always have leftovers!

Excellent food! Dining area inside is a little cramped so sit outside if you can. If not, the food is worth being a little close to those near you for a little while.

Have had lunch here twice in the past two months. Chile Verde is terrific– tender pork, flavorful verde sauce. Pork Tamales were great– nice flavor, right amount of sauce, not smothered in cheese like so many Mexican restaurants. Really fresh tasting salsa, corn tortillas appear to be hand-made in the restaurant. Will be a regular stop when in the area!

GREATMEXICANFOODIN A REMODELEDGASSTATION The restaurant is located in a former gas station which adds to the charm. The interior is small and cozy. I was seated and brought a small basket of homemade chips sprinkled with chili powder and shredded cheese. It was tasty but I was left wanting more. The salsa that accompanied the chips was very fresh tasting with chunks of tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro. Selma Special I ordered my usual, the Selma Special. It comes with two tacos filled with seasoned grilled steak, lettuce, guacamole, and cheese with rice and refried beans on the side. It was pure perfection!
