First time going to Outback. Decided to go with steak, hence the name. My wife and I got the 6oz steak with aussie fries, broccoli n’cheese, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. Let’s start with the sides; the asparagus was cooked well, could’ve been seasoned. The broccoli was cooked with a slight crunch still in it and with the cheese lightly drizzled. The mashed potatoes were good. Can’t say anything bad about them. They had the skin on them in case you were wondering. The aussie fries, were just regular cut fries. The steaks were cooked nicely and brought out in a timely manner at the same time as my wife’s dish. Our waitress, Audrey, was very nice. She checked up on us. She didn’t overwhelm us every couple minutes. Great service. I give it four stars because of the lack of sides. Could’ve had more. Other than that, my wife and I were satisfied with our experience.

Our family loves Outback, but this location is AWFUL! After sending back my steak 4 times, the cook still couldn’t seem to figure out the difference between rare and medium-well! For our party of 4, we were only given one loaf of bread. And… Refills? What refills? Never got any refills! There is definitely a problem with the management at this location! Managers seemed un-phased by the overwhelming number of customer complaints being made this evening. Driving to San Marcos may just be worth it!

Seated quick. Sat for an abnormal amount of time before waiter came over. Placed order and drinks at the same time. Waiter said they have me covering a lot of tables so sorry if I’m slow. I said who’s in charge. Never got beer or bread. Wife went to bar and got my beer and ask for bread. Then gets up again to ask for bread and manager to come over. Now I see the problem. Manager is cholõ with a tiny girl diamond in his nose. With all that said who is the general manager cause I’d like to talk to him. This place needs management.

The Service: was good except for the Victoria Filet that came out medium rare instead of medium well. The Food: The roasted sirloin had way too much gristle. It was inedible in some pieces. Not enough dressing in the salad. The Drinks: Okay, even though the BlackBerry Martini was stronger than ever before. The Result: Combining this visit with the previous terrible service visit, we’re going to go back to some previous favorite steakhouses. It seems the new owners of this location have done the customers no favors.

We went in this location around 2:40 pm on Good Friday. The restaurant was over half empty. The hostess told us it would take 5 minutes to prepare our table. Others came in after us. After waiting 25 minutes and having the hostess seat people who came after us and 4 others, we asked for the manager. The manager’s reasoning for the delay was that he kept a smaller number of tables open in order to give us better service. There were numerous open tables. We left.

Date of service…3/18/16 at 2 pm. Pros: The food was hot, fresh and tasty. Front of the House was clean and we were greeted as soon as we walked in. Cons: They were kinda clueless as to what was going on. We arrived and there were only 3 other small, parties. Most of the place was empty. She took our name and gave us a pager… WTH? About 4 minutes passed before we were seated… the server came with in a few minutes and took the drink order… came back took out order and not the menu’s. No biggie. A few other couples came in and sat down… after about 15 minutes, I see they had received their orders… and we are still waiting on our soup and salads…22 minutes passed before we saw any of our orders… and it all came at once, despite Shelby the server, asking if we wanted to have our salads first. My friend ordered a Caesar salad without croutons and all she got was a huge bowl of lettuce??? She only checked on us once and we had to flag her down for refills… I am serious when I say… she only had 2 other tables. In any case… it’s just a darn good thing that it was tasty or I would have complained BIG time… sadly for her, she did not get a 20−25% tip, which she could have easily earned by checking on us and not making me ask for more to drink,

I rarely leave bad reviews but thought it was needed in this case. First off, I do want to say the entire staff was very nice the entire time. Problems from start to finish: 1) My date and I wanted to sit on the patio since it was nice outside. We could also see that they were cramming everyone on the left side inside the building. The hostess stated he would find a server who would pick us up out there. Sadly, he came back saying no one would pick our table up. Why would they make a patio if no one can sit outside? I have never not been able to sit outside at any eatery in my life. 2) We agreed to sit inside so we could eat. It took forever to get our drink order and appetizer order in. It was pretty clear the staff was overwhelmed and could not handle half of the tables being filled. This is more of a management problem and not the servers fault. 3) We got our drinks after about 10 minutes but continued to wait on bread and our appetizer. 4) The manager came over after another 10 minutes and said they no longer had the appetizer because they ran out of sauce. Granted this was around 5pm when they just opened. 5) We finally got some bread but they did not provide plates or silverware. 6) Manager offered another appetizer for free but we just wanted our main course by this point. Overall, the staff was friendly and the main course was good. I have just never had so many problems eating out before. So much so, that I am writing this review so hopefully they can work on the issues for future customers. Still tipped $ 20 on a $ 40 ticket since the staff was friendly the entire time.

All was well until we got our order. We ordered the steak quesadilla and the first 3 out of 4 bites were filled with tough and chewy steak. We sent it back and ordered the chicken version which was much better. There were two other orders in our party that were not correct. One was the firecracker salmon and the other was the chicken on the barbie. The salmon was the mistake of the waitress and she owned up to it. The other was just missed by the kitchen which was missing the BBQ sauce.

Just placed a «to go» order with the most incompetent and un-friendly waitress(or whoever you are)… First, I call in and I’m told to «please hold» without a greeting only to be holding for ~8 minutes with no response. Call back, get the same incompetent person who tried to put me on hold again so I interrupted her to kindly advise of my dilemma… No apologies expressed, took my order in haste… I said«thank you» and her response was«alright». If you hate your job so much, quit, don’t take it out on the people that pay your paycheck! Outback, your food is good, it’s a shame I can’t say the same about the people you hire. Next time I’ll go to Texas Roadhouse…

We dined in here last night and it was outstanding. Our server was Autumn. She was prompt, kind, accurate and friendly. Not only was our service excellent so was our food. I ordered the bone in ribeye and my husband ordered the t-bone. My kids ordered ribs. The sides we ordered broccoli, sweet potato, baked potato and a blue cheese wedge salad. My kids loved the flavor on the broccoli. The sweet potato was delish! The wedge salad was also top notch. Both my husband and I were completely impressed with the quality of the steaks. They were cooked to perfection with excellent seasonings! Even the black sweet tea was noticeably better than other restaurants. My hat is off to the cooks, other staff and our server Autumn. We splurged on a meal for our family nigh out and it was worth every penny! We will be back again :) Thank you!

Absolutely the worst dining experience we have had in years. My wife and I came with a couple of friends for a nice Saturday night steak. It was busy, so the wait took about an hour. It’s Saturday… No problems, it’s expected at a steakhouse. Once we were seated, the waitress took our drink orders. My wife ordered unsweet tea and asked for some Splenda. The waitress came by twice more asking if we were ready to order and walked away as we said yes… Finally on the third attempt SHE was ready to take the order. The food came out in decent time, but was brought to us by another server who also brought us the Splenda that had obviously been forgotten for the past half an hour. We eat our meal and my wife finishes her tea. That would be the last drink she has tonight due to never being offered a refill. Then my wife goes to use the restroom and we realize she had been sat in a pile of BBQ sauce that has now covered the back of her white sweater. I inform the waitress, and we get a semi apologetic«sorry». That was the only gesture made about the incident. Now our evening plans after dinner are postponed while we go home so she can change out of her newly ruined top. We get the ticket and no compensation had been made. I’ll just say I put as much effort into the tip as our waitress did for our table. We will never be returning to this location again. If you want a good steak and A+ service I recommend Texas Roadhouse.

Don’t. Eat. Here. This is by far the worst dining experience I’ve had in a long time!!! First, my husband ordered a NY strip. After about 20 minutes, he was informed they were out. Out of steak? At a steakhouse? About 20 min after that, I was informed they were out of the grilled mahi(why in the world did it take 40 min to figure this out?). The manager did offer to comp my meal, so that was nice on his part but we were charged for a house salad that was never ordered… not even worth disputing!!! The waiter had zero personality and was very unapologetic. The food sucked. I’ve had better food & service at Wendy’s. Management really needs to get their stuff together. Based on other reviews from the past, this seems to be a common theme. The end.

Been a few years since I’ve been in. Surprisingly delicious. Chopped steak was over the top. But I was most impressed by the staff. Perfect execution on everyone’s part, from the door host all the way back. Exceptional teamwork. Keep it up guys! I’ll be back next week. SH

Came here because the commercial made the food look excellent. My husband and myself were seated immediately but we were never even asked what drink we wanted. A server never came to the table. When we got up to leave then the waiter wanted to reset us and serve us. No sir not today.

NEVERGOTOTHISLOCATION I went back to give it another chance after the last TERRIBLE dinner because I really wanted a good prime rib and cheesy fries. We went on a Tuesday night… sat right down… waited, waited, waited. 10 minutes later the server finally came over to get our drink order. There were maybe 10 people in the restaurant total… come on. In fact during our dinner she had one other table sit down next to us so she had a whopping 2 tables and they never got served so we watched them get up and leave. Get it together! I ordered my prime rib medium and it came out still moo-ing. The waitress disappeared of course so I had to wait another 10 minutes before I could even send it back. The manager(I guess?) brought it back and it was now hard on the outside and still rare on the inside. He told me they had thrown it back on the grill but he’d get me a new piece. Gee, thanks. Take two: he brings out a new piece and tells me to cut into it. I kid you not it was purple inside it was so rare. I looked at him and said«this is medium?» And he said«I mean, it’s kinda closer to medium rare». Then he proceeded to look at me like I was crazy for not wanting this very rare piece of meat. I said forget it, take my meal off the check and we are finished. You’ve lost some loyal customers, Outback. I’ll miss you cheesy fries…

When am I going to learn to check Unilocal reviews for restaurants, even if they’re chains that are normally great? It would have saved us from a bad experience. We stopped here on a trip from Dallas to Corpus Christi, because Outback is usually fast for a sit down restaurant, the food and service is usually consistent, and it was No Worries Wednesday. Things looked promising when we were greeted at the door by a manager and seated immediately. Unfortunately, that we pretty much the end of our good experiences. Our waitress came over fairly quickly and took our order. I ordered the No Worries Wednesday 6 ounce sirloin, medium rare with extra seasoning, salad with ranch and steamed broccoli. Our bread and waters came out pretty quickly, followed by our salads and then our entrees(before we even had a chance to finish our salads). My steak had no visible seasoning. After cutting into it, and putting a piece in my mouth, I couldn’t taste any seasoning. I chewed. And chewed. And chewed. I couldn’t chew it up enough to swallow it, so I put the piece back on my plate. I tried the broccoli and it was basically raw. So I waited for our waitress to stop back by and check on us. And waited. And waited. When the waitress finally stopped by, I explained the problems to her and she said she would get another one started and send the manager by. By this point, my daughter was done with her meal and my water was empty. Within a couple minutes, the manager who had met us at the door came by and I explained the problems again. He said he would get it taken care of, and commented that he also likes his steak medium rare with extra seasoning. About 5 – 10 minutes later, my new steak came out. It was cooked perfectly. Instead of broccoli, they had done mixed veggies, which I didn’t bother to point out since it was a big serving and included almost as much broccoli as an order of just broccoli. The waitress never came by while I was eating it. My water was still empty. I finished the meal. And we continued to wait. And wait. Finally, the waitress came by with our check. Huh? We haven’t had our dessert yet. I mentioned that we still needed our desserts and that I needed a refill of water(which even an average waiter would have noticed without being told). She told us that we could have any dessert we wanted, because of the problems. I got the salted caramel skillet cookie. Dessert took a while to come out, but it was delicious. The manager had taken 10% off our ticket because of the problems. By the time we got out the door, it had been 90 minutes, twice as long as we normally take at Outback. This Outback is certainly not up to corporate standards. Poor service. Inconsistent food preparation. Slow. We will not be stopping at this location again.

Popped in for a quick lunch, the dining room was pretty empty. And cold, you could really use a parka eating here. It’s also dark inside. You will need time to adjust your vision to the dim lighting just to read the menu. We waited for server, ordered drinks, appetizer, and meal all at the same time. Drinks came out a while later. The bloomin onion came a while later with no plates, she was going to go back and get plates. Never did bring the plates. Two plates of food were brought out. Both were cold. Without condiments and silverware. The onion thing was cold and tasted of grease. The meat was overcooked and had a strange taste to it. Couldn’t put my finger on what exactly it was but my husband said it tasted of a dirty grill. Needless to say not a meal that was enjoyable. The atmosphere definitely didn’t make up for the food.

Worst service. Placed order with first drink order. Server forgot sweetener for tea. Waited 5 min. Got up got it myself. Sat for10 min. Before getting another drink and sweetener. Food came out before salads. Had to get the managers attention. Table behind us same issue. On top of everything the have son kid peddling candy bars for school. Wtf.

So far so good. Quick friendly service. This place has mastered service. The food is really good and the prices are right. Nothing really«wow» about this restaurant but it does the job. It’s hard to find genuine exceptional service and in that I give this place 4 stars.
