This is a good local beverage depot for general liquid refreshment needs. They have a pretty wide selection of bottles, though after I have bought several 6-packs of beer(Goose Island and others) that were skunked/bad, I have rarely used them for more obscure beer. Their craft and import beer selection is varied and fun to browse through — just check expiration dates(I don’t recall if the bottles were expired, though I don’t believe they would knowingly engage in such practices) or bottles for sediment if you’re concerned about that stuff. The bomber selection has improved over time, so this is a great place to pick up a special bottle to bring somewhere to dinner or enjoy after a hard day at work. They have a few taps against the walk-in, and I think they may do growler fills but that has been a hit/miss(as far as functionality/availability) as well. This was one of the few places I knew of that carried Old Granddad Root Beer throughout the whole summer when it was very popular. While supermarkets are offering better beer selection nowdays, this place still carries kegs of all sizes, so they are essential to keep in mind when planning that big summer party. Wish they were open later some nights.

I’ve never bought a beer from this place so I can’t review this establishment on the beer selection and purchasing service. But I came to this place to return recycle bottles and I had a bad experience. I had about 3 to 4 bags full of recycle bottles that I was looking to return. I knew it was kind of late so I went on the Internet and searched for places to return empty bottles. I called about two other establishments and I was told they close at 8 pm that if I made it by than they would help me but I knew it was too late to make it by that time. After spending some time searching online I found this place and the hours said they close at 9 pm, me and my girlfriend drove about 25 minutes to arrive at this place, we arrived at 8:27pm with enough time before they close. Before we even entered the store we were stopped by a man smoking a cigarette saying«we are no longer taking recycles, I’ve been taking recycles all day we stop one hour before we close» also very rudely walked away, did not apologize or mention hours when they would open again. Me and my girlfriend left disappointed because we spent so much time and energy driving around and looking for a place that was open and this place turned down our business because the person working felt like he was working all day. All of us and a lot of us work and work hard, I don’t care how hard you’ve been working, we drove for a half hour to give you business during your working hours and we were turned down. I believe this experience is bad business and I would not recommend coming to this place — at least for returning bottles or for running into the guy who is rude.

When I’m looking for craft beer or something different this is the place I go to. I always find something new and delicious. Prices are good, probably even better than other places Ive been too. When you buy certain packs you get a beer glass, which is always nice. Workers are always friendly. They are also the only place I seem to be able to find the banana bread beer which is a major +.

Reliable beer distributor with a great selection and very reasonable prices. I really like that they have price tags on all their cans/bottles/packs which may sound really silly and obvious, but there ARE some distributors in the area that don’t do this(*ahem* ) Along with their huge selection of beer, they sell soda and chips for all your partying needs. They even do kegs… if that’s the kind of party you’re having.(And if that’s the kind of party you’re having, please extend an invitation to me.) Apparently the Selden Beverage Center is one location of the«Big Beverage Centers» chain, which I did not know existed until I visited their website. Good to know– I’ll be frequenting their other locations if they’re as good as this one!
