First time going here with my mom and we loved it! They take their time and really pay attention to detail. I got the regular pedi and my mom got the callus remover and our feet came out so soft! Will have to try the spa pedi next time. And julie did my fill in exactly how i wanted. Great prices too $ 17 regular pedi(spa ones were pretty expensive but maybe ill try it next time to see if its worth the money) and fill in was 20. Not bad at all will def be going back!

Communication was OFF! Asked for the same color on my feet that I got on my nails and it was completely different. The pedicure girl cut me 3 times and didn’t even apologize. Just tried to disguise it by putting my feet back in the water. Never going back.

This was the worst nail experience I have ever had(and I never have posted on Unilocal before but feel compelled to). I went in for a gel mani and pedi. The first two colors I picked from their color wheels, they came back and said they no longer have. I said, no problem and picked another. After my pedi was done(which took 1 ½ hours… and all I got was a «special» with a 15 min massage), I went to sit for my gel mani. After the woman put on the top coat, she realized that the wrong matching color was in the box to the pedi so I had to choose a new color and then go back and redo the color on my toes. Finally got back for the gel manicure and I quickly realized, the color didn’t match my toes at all… they apologized and couldn’t figure out what happened… all I know is I was there for 3 ½ hours, spent $ 65 without even the tip for toes/fingers that don’t match, a so-so massage and a so-so job overall… WILLNEVERGOAGAIN!!!

Location is clean. Not the nicest strip mall but the nail salon itself is nice. I love that they have a small pedicure chair for my 3 year old. They also offer an extensive choice of gel colors including the temperature color changing gel! They also provide a parafin treatment for your heels with the regular pedicure! If you’re looking for your nail technicians to make conversation, this is not the place for you.(Although, I don’t mind this one bit!) Our nails came out great!(Even my daughter’s who tends to squirm) We will return!

Blooming nails is by far the best nail salon I have ever been too … I always call to make an appointment because they are always busy … I always have Coco do my manicures and pedicures or Selena … They are so nice and never rush … I drive from Port Jefferson there because I love them!!!

I have been going here for 8 months now, ever since I relocated to the Selden area — and good god does this place make me miss my old nail salon in Babylon(Barbi Nails — highly recommended — go there!!) When I first began going to Blooming Nails, it was great. Great long lasting gel manicures, always quality work, always friendly service, always a relaxing visit. But over the course of time the quality of service has drastically decreased. The gel manicures suddenly started to become shotty and chipped almost immediately, so about two months ago I switched over and started doing permanent French acrylic(which I had done years ago for a long time so I am well aware of what to expect) and really, I can’t say anything good about it. The nails do come out nice, but at quite the expense — mentally & monetarily! I feel they rip people off — filing down the nails so much even when I TELLTHEM I don’t want it that way, so that the white tips quickly dwindle down to nothing and then require a fill-in on both the pink & white for double the cost after only a few weeks with a brand new full set! When getting this style done at other salons in the past, this was NEVER the case. They just want to force you into paying more. The final straw really came during my appointment today, two hours even though it shouldn’t take more than 40 minutes and after I had made an appointment prior. The nail tech — Jackie — who is also one of the owners, was so distracted the entire time that I had it keep correcting her errors and reminding her of steps she missed on my nails. She also cut into my cuticles & caused me to bleed twice while filing(even though this has happened the past two visits as well and I tell them time and time again to be careful), she stopped midway through my nails to DOHERBILLS while she handed me over to the other tech/owner Kevin(her husband) only to come back distracted once again when she was finished with her checkbook. She kept causing pain to my cuticles again and again all the way through the visit, kept stopping what she was doing to talk to other customers, took no control over the salon when a rude mother with two unruly kids walked in and started raising hell — ruining everyone’s visit. It was a horrible experience after months of increasingly bad experiences. DONOTGOHERE. I will not be returning and plan to find another salon to take over my fill-in in two weeks! Disgusted.

After a great first experience there, getting a very reasonably priced pedicure and acrylic wraps on my nails(I can’t do the gel manicures), I went back for a fill in. I got the gentleman that works there, and he started working on my nails. When filing down the original acrylic to apply the fill in, he bored a hole into my natural nail. It didn’t quite break through to the skin, but I was out of there.

Very nice nail salon. Soo friendly compared to many other salons. All the manicurists and pedicurists were great! Awesome little massage with a pedicure as well as one when you’re drying your nails which is always a plus! Clean and professional. Will definitely return!

This is a very clean, well run, and affordable nail salon. I was very pleasantly surprised at the extra perks a regular pedicure came with at this establishment. That being a pretty decent foot massage and a keratin heel wrap treatment. I was particularly pleased the last time I visited and received a french manicure. My technician, Sam, was very precise with clipping, filing, and then painting. I was getting a flower design, and from past salon experiences, I was thinking it would be a simple little daisy in the middle of each ring finger… no, it was two beautiful cherry blossom branches in black and white accented with silver glitter in the center of each flower. I was very impressed and this manicure lasted nearly 3 weeks before getting really chipped. Love this place!

This place was amazing. I had Tina and she really did a fantastic job. I got a mani/pedi(only $ 23) and also got the callas removal. I hadn’t gotten a pedi in a long time so my feet were pretty bad and she scrubbed them for a really long time. Both my hands and feet look beautiful. She also gave me a nice back massage as my nails were drying. Very long, relaxing experience.

I took my mother here for her birthday today. The prices are expensive. The girl that took me spoke very little English making it hard to communicate simple things. She was very nice and my nails came out good. So I give them points on that. We got there at 5:30 and they close at 7:30. They took a while on my mom and it was 7:30 when they were finished and the girl wanted my mother to use the fan at her table for just her finger nails instead of going to the back so she could dry both her finger and toe nails. I felt like we were rushed out. I figured 2 hours for a fill in and pedi would be enough time but it wasnt and they should have known how long it would take and not push my mom to leave before her nails were done. Also they didnt take the tissue off our toes when dry such a small thing could have made the experience a bit better. They seemed to do the minimum and not go above, like there isnt a nail salon on every corner. I wont be going back there. Some positives again were the girl I had was nice, the nails came out beautiful, the place looked clean.

Awesome place. I was recommended by a friend who said that they were the best. I had told her I was having trouble finding a nail salon that would take my comments into consideration… you would be surprised at how many people ask you what you want, and then do something entirely different. They listened to me, told me what they were going to do before they did it. Showed me each step of the way how long the nail would be, square or rounded, light pink, dark pink, etc. Very professional, and super clean. Will definitely be going back. :)

Blooming Nails is my favorite place to get a manicure, a pedicure, and a massage. The owner does a great job on the UV gel manicure and the price is cheaper than anywhere else. The place is clean and newly renovated. I have been going there for years and I have NEVER had a bad experience. If you call to make an appointment, ask for Carol or Sam. They are the best. :) I moved to Queens, but I still drive to Selden because of Blooming Nails!!!
