Texas is a humongous state, that’s for sure! This seems like an odd listing … it would be more appropriate to be titled«City of Seguin» rather than the State of Texas. Never-the-less, it is listed here. In 2 months time, I have been through the entire state of Texas, traveling on I-10 three times. The first 2 times, I only drove for like an hour and was practically run off the side of the road by a Semi-Truck. He turned his blinker on and came right on over. I was so scared, my husband took over right after I pulled off at an exit. The third time, I had no choice but to be brave and take my chances. Yet again, there were 2 truckers that had me really scared. They pull over whenever they feel like it. It is insane! I can’t say they were Texans, because these trucks are from anywhere! I’ve been through & stayed in Seguin a few times, just off the Interstate. If you are Eastbound on I-10 from Houston to Beaumont, there is a rest area called James Taylor White Safety Rest Area. It is just about halfway between the two cities. This place is a very modern and clean place to stop & take a look. It also has a neat fenced in playground for the little ones to use up some energy. There are also paths for walks. Texas has the San Antonio Riverwalk, The Alamo, Amusement Parks, NASA Space Center, Zoos, Caverns, beaches, and a whole bunch more attractions! Be sure to stop in at the Welcome Centers and pick up brochures, or look online, or even go to a Travel Agency of some sort to help you find things to do while in Texas. The possibilities are endless!
