I love the Woolley Market! The people are very nice and really know their stuff. Great fresh organic healthy food and cheaper and fresher than their in-town competitor. Love the fresh organic chicken and steaks in the meat case and the fresh sourdough bread. Deli food is delicious and reasonably priced. I know I save money and time shopping at the Market. I might save a few cents driving to Fred Meyer but knowing my groceries are fresh, locally grown, factoring in travel time and gas, and I am supporting my community: Priceless ! Just what our little town needed!

I’m not pleased with the customer services, at the Woolley Market! My daughter, ordered 2 sandwiches, 30 minutes after my daughter ordered our lunch, a young lady came a took the sandwiches out the refrigeration display cases, 30 minutes later, 30 mins !!! Like most businesses in Sedro Woolley, you have to be NOT A MINROITY to get good Customer Services. The man that took my daughter order was busy falling all over the WHITE gentleman that came into the Market, after my daughter. I will add here he received his order before the young lady came to fill our order. He walked in right before I did. My daughter order our lunch a full 10 minutes before he walked in. Seriously, before you think I’m making this all about race, consider first, my side! Thank you! To top it off, she gypped us when she return my money!

Food is good, love the groceries they carry, and it isn’t to terribly priced, considering it is basically a co-op. Good place to get unique organic items. They have good beer as well, fill growlers, have live music, events, and the building is a cool old-school corner spot. My only complaint is things are always changing for food and what the meat counter offers, seems it keeps getting scaled back. Selection is hit or miss. They used to make these killer breakfast burritos and had them ready for grab and go, but they changed their hours, and then did away with the burritos. Overall it is the best spot to shop for groceries in Sedro, and one of the better spots for a healthy, wholesome lunch.

There aren’t enough good things I can say about the Woolley Market. It’s been a wondeful addition to our community, offering local, organic groceries, thoughtfully prepared baked and deli items and fun craft beers on tap. Thursday nights brings live music and delicious dinner specials. This is more than a place to pick up groceries for dinner, it’s a place to get to know your neighbors, your farmers and your local business owners.

We live in Seattle and discovered this market on our way to camping in the North Cascades in 2014. Now we look forward to going every time we are headed out Hwy 20 to the North Cascades or Methow Valley. They have tons of great organic and local foods, lots of micro brew beers and ciders, yummy made-to-order sandwiches, several kinds of kombucha, or more. Their wellness section is also well stocked. Kind and helpful staff. Love this place and encourage you to make it a regular haunt!

Such a wonderful addition to downtown Sedro Woolley. Fresh, local and thoughtfully sourced products adorn the beautiful rustic-style shelves. The excellent beer and cider on tap pairs nicely with their live music or a fresh deli sandwich. This is both a grocery store, café, and a community space(they even host yoga classes). A must-stop for passer-byers!

Dropped in with a group of friends on a road trip from Seattle. The couple who own the place were on point and clearly really invested in making it a pleasant experience for all. Try the fresh kombucha on tap. Good healthy grocery selection.

Very cool market, deli and beer establishment. A gem hiding in the middle of a small town. We came here for deli sandwiches, and they happened to be celebrating their one year anniversary with live bluegrass music. The staff was super friendly and accommodating our large group, and they even offered is a platter full of free watermelon slices. Would recommend to anyone passing through or staying in the area!

Thank you for bringing this to Sedro-Woolley! The kinks are worked out and the events and the food are so great. The carrot cake is an absolute must! Here is a place in town where I can listen to live music, drink a beer, eat a meal, grocery shop and see/visit friends all in one awesome place!

First today was Sunday so perhaps the market wasn’t at its best. I had the smoked salmon Benedict. My husband had the tri tip sandwich. Service: The service is still rough. There were two ladies behind behind the register a blonde one and a dark haired one. The dark haired one took my order and was obviously new because she didn’t know the menu very well. It was such a pain to order the two adult orders that I decided to not order anything for my children and pick up something at a drive-thru some other place. There aren’t that many options for children. Again it’s not a kid friendly place. No kids menu, nothing. When I asked her if we could just get a biscuit with jam she looked at me like it was a very unusual request(I have three active small kids with me; 3,6,7) and took about 6 minutes to go back and check. It was. The total was $ 25 for two main dishes and a biscuit with jam which is OK. I gave her $ 40 and she kept looking at me like that she needed more money and I had to point out that she’s holding 2/$ 20. No «So sorry this is my first day or sorry its been a long day.» Just like whoa… don’t come here in a hurry. Food: My husband’s sandwich was excellent. My Salmon Benedict was okay. The biscuits made it very very heavy and my husband ended up eating half my Salmon Eggs Benedict. An English muffin would have been better. The biscuits themselves were sort of doughy, not light or flaky. The suggestion for the kids biscuit which was cold was to «zap it». Generally I wish I would have gone next door. The food would have been quicker, the service friendlier. I know it’s new so we were patient. But really…

Great spot! Love having lunch here, and it’s perfect for grabbing what you need for dinner on your way out. Plus, beer. On tap. Grocery shopping is more fun with a pint in your hand. Check out the live music and special events in the room upstairs. This is just want Sedro-Woolley needed.

Absolutely fantastic! This wonderful grocery store/coffee shop/deli is just what the classic Sedro-Woolley downtown needed. Not only does the welcoming ambiance and tasteful décor make you feel at home, but the helpful staff, great organic selection, and wonderful deli make this shop the whole package. It is a great alternative to the big chain stores, and its location will surely revitalize the historic Metcalf Street. Highly recommended; stop in for a snack, for you grocery run, or for a great cup of coffee.

MUCHNEEDEDADDITIONTOOURLILTOWN: SURPASSEDEXPECTATIONS. NOTPERFECTBUTSHE’LLGROW… –MYOVERVIEW– Right before the Cascades sits Sedro Woolley: where we bought our first house & where The Woolley Market is the start of our town’s rebound(many shops shuttered in the downturn, and as other towns rebounded, we’ve been waiting). Woolley Market saves us a laborious trip elsewhere for quality food; the only other grocery in town is plagued by very poor quality & high prices. Woolley Market listened & delivered: high quality, homegrown, & healthy, Skagit farming-family food. We now shop here multiple times a week(sometimes EVERY weekday!). (MYPREFACE) Now, this deserves a preface: this shop’s not perfect; they’re also not a mechanized supermarket. Meaning, our expectations must match the reality that they do not have a «central production warehouse» or a «market research firm» to know when/what/how to meet our every need at the moment we have it. So, our community needs to be patient and take a chance on them as they’ve taken a chance on us. –MYPROS– — Perfectly sized: easy in/out parking, sized like an original Trader Joes(not panic-inducing as TJs is now). — Selection is reasonable w/o superfluous extras that distract. — Of the brands I’ve tried, almost every one has been excellent. Some have earned a lifer even. — Staff is friendly, kind, happy to help. — The facility is lovely, country chic, w/open seating in & outside, also… — MAJOR kudos for the Universal Design(a.k.a. Disability Friendly & Accessible!): auto button door, aisles w/egress, & low check stand at back. — Free live music certain evenings! — And then the deli & kitchen food! See my «hint»… HINT: Don’t miss the deli kitchen & cases: with entrance at your back, it’s on your right side to the back. It’s a religious experience: pastry, chees, meat, cake, cookies, meals, prepared food, & holiday items. It seriously measures-up to most specialty shops. –PRICE, COST, SAVINGS — — Overall: VERY fair cost for the quality and convenience. — Higher cost than Haggen & Safeway; better compared the Skagit or Bham CO-OP. — If you’re used to supermarkets, sticker-shock may occur. — If you’re into specialty, co-ops, or farmers markets, the prices should be very reasonable to you. — Remember the«worth» of nontangibles: no hassle of driving to Burlington, no wasting time, plus the literal savings on gas. — And lastly, when shopping here, you’re support a local Sedro business which is reviving this town: employing locals, helping grow our tiny tax base that has exponential benefits. –MYCONS– My dislikes are few, but for balance’s sake, I want the constructive criticism. — They close fairly early, esp for if folks work in Snoho. Co. & get off work at 5 or 6, the Market’s closed by the time you’re home; a half-four or an hour more would be useful if it were economically feasible & biz wise for them. — I’m a brain surgery survivor and use electric door buttons when available. Several times the Market’s weren’t working. I decided to look closely and saw it was simply unplugged. FEEDBACK: Assign plug-in to the opening employee & include it in your«opening procedures». — The other issue(most important perhaps) is low or no stock. This is ENTIRELY expected for a new, non-big-box store, so it’s simply forgiven in my eyes. But that slack won’t last forever, Woolley Market; research, manage, and enact processes & policies that enable better inventory mgmt before a community mutiny over this. — Lastly: bagels. I’ve struggled to get them in Skagit County. Skagit Co-op doesn’t have them & grocery stores’ are laughable. Woolley Market, I beg you to get«The Bagelry» bagels in from Bham! PLEASE. So, there we have it. Time to go enjoy some goodies from THEWOOLLEYMARKET! –AudreyTerp
