I had not been to any Bandanas location in years. This one had superb and speedy service. The food was hot and tasty but there was almost no meat on my loaded BBQ potato which was so disappointing as it is the unique item I remember and choose them for! On road trips I may give them one more try, we’ll see.

Stopped here on the way back from the Ozarks and it definitely satisfied my needs for delicious BBQ. All the service was fast and friendly, I was checked on by multiple people multiple times. I got the smoked sausage and ribs with some fried okra and BBQ beans for sides. And, of course, their signature garlic bread. I started off with the garlic bread and it was definitely unique. It was good though, especially when used to wipe up your leftover sauce. Smoked sausage was great, ribs were pretty thin, but I think it’s because I had them with the combo plate. They were cooked well, don’t get me wrong, and tasted delicious but a little salty. Good selection of sauces that were all very good. Fried okra was typical, BBQ beans were pretty basic but good. I’d definitely stop here again if passing through town.

The food was fresh and delicious. I do not like my pulled pork to be dry and they didn’t disappoint it was moist and tasty. The server was cordial and genuinely friendly. Well decorated and clean. I am hard to please when it comes to barbecue.

I’m not from KC and was excited to try the BBQ. I was little disappointed they didn’t have the burnt ends I’d heard so much about, but the ribs more than made up for it. So good, I liked that they give you a few different sauces to try. The turkey was better than the chicken, but the ribs where the favorite of everyone at our table.

Mmm ribs. This wasn’t my first choice in this’d town. I’m not familiar with any local places as I’m from out of state. I checked into my hotel and looked for the best BBQ. I found a place but they’re closed on Tuesdays. I wanted BBQ. I have been saved!!! This place rocks. The ribs are cooked perfectly. They don’t fall of the bone. If they did… They’d be over done. Love their spicy sauce. Thx for awesome beans and buttery corn. Man oh man the bread was awesome too.

At lunch here today. Food was good. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were inline for lunch. Full plate to start — it didn’t need to be cleaned after. Their applesauce is great side/desert. I’ll return when I’m in the area.

I will give it a 8 out of 10. The food was good and server was great. But a little more beef with it. And I will eat there again.

No. Don’t do this. This isn’t good Q. They have a six pack of sauces, none are very good. The KC sauce is thick and syrupy, everyone knows KC sauce is vinegar based: Gates, Bryants, etc… Excluding KC Masterpiece which is the oddball, I don’t know about that one. Anyway, after the sauce gimmick they have uninspired menu of average smoked meats. Thick smoke that isn’t pleasant that covers their average quality meat. If you’ve read my reviews you know I’m picky about BBQ. Even Rib Crib(average to poor) has the redeeming quality of all you can eat rib night, but Bandana’s is just, well, there serving up the ordinary. Just down the street on Thompson Blvd, in front of Ace hardware is a little kiosk where a man I simply call the ‘Barbeque man’ serves up the best BBQ in town.

This is one of my absolute favorite BBQ joints. It is not in the KC Metro area, but it is so worth the drive. It is about 1 ½ hrs southeast of Kansas City, MO and the perfect place to stop if you are coming home from a wine tour or a float trip. The have 4 sauces to pick from. They have the Kansas City Sweet style and the Mustard base southern style along with a Memphis and a Hot. The southern style is my life blood. I grew up on Mustard based sauces and they take me home. The pulled pork melts in your mouth. The ribs fall right off the bone and have a great smoke flavor. The chicken and beef are scrumptious. They also have Hot Boiled peanuts which are impossible to find in the North,(given MO is not a Northern state, but I am from Kansas and you can’t find them here). The peanuts are an acquired taste but they are worth acquiring the taste for them. The fries are perfectly crispy on the outside and airy in the middle. The applesauce is home-style and nice and chunky. The price is right and the food is perfect. If I lived closer I would move in and work for food. Seriously I cannot say enough about the food. The service is just as good as the food. The first time I went in and explained I had a dairy allergy they were more than accommodating and double checked everything. The manager even came out to say hi, because he too had food allergies. I never have to worry about getting something here that has dairy in it, they are super careful. GREATATMOSPHERE, GREATSERVICE, GREATFOOD!!!

BBQ is absolutely to die for, and the waitresses are always friendly and prompt! The owner/management always checks on your table to make sure you’re happy! Prices are affordable, and fair for how much food you get! My husband is a huge fan of Bandanas BBQ! We come here at least once a month when we come to eat out! Parking isn’t that great if you have a big truck like we do, but the food makes up for the lack of spots!
