It’s ok… Knowing it was byob would have been nice… And they’ve a unique interpretation of a margherita pizza. At least they cooked it to our liking… Outside seating is nice… Unilocal. Update that it’s byob… Thanks!

Traveling and found this place while driving thru the area. Pizza was really good with lots of toppings for the price. If I’m in the area again I’ll probably try their traditional menu items. Nice outdoor seating area, staff/owner were friendly. Always try to support the locally owned restaurants while traveling and this place is a hidden gem.

Pizza is good when it is delivered hot which is rare. We have been ordering for over a year and it’s hit and miss with quality. I asked for plumb tomatoes on a pie and they had no idea what I was talking about. Asked what they were Come on ya work in a pizzeria Italian restaurant .The manager John is very rude not sure how he is still working there. Ordered a pie at 7:57 pm Friday didn’t come till 9:45. And it wasn’t till I called at 9:40 that I’m told that they copied the address wrong and phone #? Oh But they got the CC # right. He was loud, obnoxious and rude and actually started yelling and shouting at me on the phone. Blaming me for not answering the door or answering the phone. Then I asked him where he delivered to oh dumbass wrong address and phone .When your food and service is mediocre and passable basically the best of mediocre pizza in secacus yet you employ a arrogant unprofessional jackass don’t wonder why you start to loose customers. Not even an apology for the horrible service and his unprofessional demeanor. The delivery guy apologized somewhat still a pretty lack luster admonition of their complacent behavior and attitude on how they treat customers

I had Ilforno delivery the other day. I’m trying to find a delivery place to Secaucus that has really good cheesesteak. I have a new drinking strategy that involves Step 1: Eat half a cheesesteak before I go out. Step 2: keep an eye on the time. Step 3: BAC myself with my awesome BACTrac so I don’t go overboard. This has been extremely successful for me despite the quality of cheesesteak. I haven’t been able to find a good cheesesteak spot though. I wasn’t really a fan of this one. I didn’t like the cheese, and the steak wasn’t juicy. Someone recommend me something PLEASE! The pasta fagioli was really good though. Is it normal to eat pasta fagioli when you’re sick? I like to just eat it normally, but I don’t really enjoy chicken noodle soup, and I’m thinking I might keep this place in mind for when I’m ill too. Why not? Saw some other reviews say they have the best pizza, so I’m looking forward to trying it at some point. To be continued…

Their pizza is the best in town. Always perfectly cooked and delivered hot. My wife loves the mussels. It’s our go to place for Italian.

The pizza is pretty good but the people who work there are awful. Overheard the employees joking but about having to deliver pizzas to the special education kids at a local school. The same employee then goes to leave the store and says aloud, «time to deliver the pizzas to the retards.» Totally unprofessional and makes you wonder what they say about their other customers behind their backs.

Worst place ever! They won’t deliver to my hotel and I am less than 2 miles away!!! Why would you even advertise that you are a delivery place?

Why do they ask how I’d like my pizza if they are going to disregard it? Ordered thin and well done… Pizza was thick and under cooked. Won’t be going back here. Very disappointing.

Ordered a pizza today and it was one if not the best pizzas I have ever had. It was fast hot and everything tasted fresh. So give it a try and you will see what I am saying

Everything made at Il Forno is made fresh. The pizza is brick-oven baked and has a nice crisp thin crust. I recommend the Margarita pizza. Nice atmosphere and a garden in the back to eat Al Fresco. Try it.

smells like gas station food. Chicken parm is burnt, 1000 degrees, and they put romaine lettuce and dressing on a chicken parm when i specifically asked for that on the side. wow.

Average pizza, nothing special at all. Very very poor service, especially for delivery. I will NEVER order from here again. Our order consisted of one large pizza, Caesar salad and the free mussels(friday night special). We ordered at 6:15PM this Friday and the delivery guy didn’t deliver our meal til 8 – 8:15PM. When we called to check on it, they just kept saying he was out to deliver. It should never take over an hour for a pizza delivery. Especially when the restaurant is a 7min drive away and we ordered one pie and a salad. When we got the pizza, salad and free mussels. The salad was browning, mussels were not edible, pizza so cold it was as if it was a day old. There are other options in Secaucus or Clifton to go to before here, avoid this place at all costs.

Best pizza in the neighborhood in my opinion. Always piping hot whether you have it delivered to your house or you eat it in the restaurant. Very friendly staff, also byob if you’re eating at the restaurant.

3.5 stars. Good, but not great, pizza. As others have mentioned it’s not as thin and crispy as some of the best Brooklyn style pizzas. It’s a little thicker and doughy-er. Still very good though, particularly the Margherita which has sweet, chunky tomato sauce plopped strategically on top along with mozzarella, basil and garlic. You can’t go wrong. It’s just not world-class 5 stars as others on Unilocal say. Perhaps 5 stars for Seacaucus… Il Forno has an expansive Italian lunch and dinner menu, and in the warmer months they have an outside patio for al fresco dining. They also have convenient delivery for the area, including the Harmon Meadow hotel and shopping areas.

It’s very good, Not some artisinal BobbyFlay type pizza but by far the best i’ve had in the Secaucus area. The staff and chef were very polite and friendly, even on a busy night. I got a bacon/pinnaple/mozza brick oven pizza, absolutely loved it. tasted delicious, looked well made, not sloppy like some bar pizza. Ordered take out and it was done just as I got there. excellent! I haven’t gone into the secret garden area, but my wife goes there for lunch all the time to get away from the office and relax, while eating their delicious sandwiches. She loves it, quiet, nice relaxing area with a small pond/waterfall and a bunch of outdoor tables. DEFINITELYWOULDEATTHEREAGAIN! NODOUBT.

I love this pizza. For take-out, its definitely the best in the area, and one of my favorite pizza’s in the NYC-area. My roommates and I particularly love the buffalo chicken pizza and the garlic knots.

Born in Brooklyn– home to amazing pizza. Moved to Pennsylvania– hard to find a good slice. Recently relocated to Secaucus and stumbled upon Il Forno almost by accident. SOHAPPY I DID! The quality of this pizza is excellent and reminds me of my days growing up in Brooklyn. The location is quaint and a nice old world Italian spot to sit and have a date. The owners and employees are very friendly and accommodating. So far I have tried: the Traditional, the Basic Gourmet and the Margherita. All great choices. Keep it up!
