This place has been around forever and is the home of the sandy pizza. If you enjoy pizza this is the place to go! The best part about it is that the pizza is only $ 7! During the most recent hurricanes while every store was closed or out of power the only place operating in the entire area was imperial pizza. They were the savior when the entire neighborhood had no power to cook.

Ehh, I miss my pizza from my old neighborhood. Sigh. This place was ok. For $ 7, i guess you can’t beat the price, but there was a lot of things really lacking. 1 — I felt like it needed more cheese. It was seriously lacking cheese. 2 — The sauce was a bit tangy for my liking. I felt it was a bit on the watery side as well 3 — the person who rolled out the dough didn’t bother making it even. Some parts of my pizza was so much thicker than other parts. 4 — they didn’t cook it long enough, so it was rather chewy. The only thing I really enjoyed was the taste of the crust itself. It had a nice flavor that was different than other places. I also ordered myself a cheesesteak. Onions were a little too raw and it was really lacking meat. I ate more bread than anything else. My hunt for pizza in my area continues!

A delco tradition to say the least. For 7 dollars a large you really can’t beat the price. I always favor the sausage, it’s chopped up finely and sprinkled on top. It’s not the best pizza around but for the price you just cannot compete. The divey atmosphere leaves something to be desired, and so does the lackluster customer service.

I am absolutely NOT a fan of Inferial Pizza. This business prides itself in serving the underdeveloped and disenfranchised in Delaware County by using the worst possible ingredients to drive down the price. The low quality I-can’t-believe-it’s-not-tomato sauce leaves a lot to the imagination and the pound of sand extracted from the red light district of Atlantic City splattered at the bottom has the sole potential of making a grown man cry. My stomach is asking for a divorce and suing for alimony. Oh, and one more thing… Inferial doesn’t take debit cards?! I didn’t realize we were still in the 20th century.

Just enjoyed the best pizza in town ! Other pizza places cannot compare. Some places have the chain mesh automatic ride through the oven. This pizza crust is hand spun and has the best taste of any I have ever had. Other places charge anywhere between 10 and 12 dollars for a large manufactured pizza. Imperial’s large pizza is 6.95 an unbelievable great tasting deal ! You will be WOWED by this pie ! The employees courteous and pick up timed perfectly ! 5 stars without a doubt ! They only take cash no credit cards !

Imperial Pizza is the best cheap place to get an authentic pie. We order from here at least a few times a month. They only take cash and the pizzas are very affordable for any family.

I was hoping the divey atmosphere meant that they were a hidden gem, but unfortunately– it didn’t. The pizzas crust tastes like cardboard. The pizza’a flavor was okay, but the crappy crust combined with the average service is why I gave this place a below average rating.

Delaware County’s late-night secret weapon! Imperial Pizza is legendary for having the cheapest large pie you can get, which might be an insult, but the pizza is great; well-balanced cheese/sauce ratio with the infamous cornmeal crust, giving it the much ballyhooed ‘sandy’ texture. The fact that they stay open until 2:00am on weekends in a largely suburban area, and always have your food ready quick, adds to the charm, making this a singular destination worthy of the occasional late-night trek.

Eat here most Friday’s. Have literally been getting it since I was a kid and for the price and late hours it’s awesome. It has had the same taste forever so it’s consistent and you always know what you will get. Extremely fast if your picking up. Great for parties where you need to order a good amount of food. Haven’t tried their steaks it’s always been a pizza place to me but I know they are cheaper then most places as well.

Best cheap pizza hands down. Are there better pizzas out there? Sure, but for double the price. And no one beats them for speed. 10 mins for pickup.

I like the pizza crust a lot… sandy bottom crust reminds me of Pizza at home in RI. The sauce is not my favorite. It just seems to be kind of bland. Today I order a steak and cheese(cheese steak to the locals) and I was not impressed. It was ok. The steak was good, but sparse, very little cheese, and the bread was chewy. Also, this place has no french fries, onion rings or sides at all.

I have been eating Imperial for many, many years !!! By far the best pizza around. Nothing beats their sausage Pizza with a Franks Black Cherry Soda. A lot of people aren’t aware but they also have great cheese steaks and meatball sandwiches !! If you haven’t tried them, do yourself a favor.

This place gets a solid 4 stars from me. This past Sunday at 12:40 at night(I guess that would make it Monday by then…) I got the biggest craving for a pizza. I called around to a few places to try to find someone open but came up empty handed. That was when my boyfriend recalled a place called Imperial Pizza that his buddies talked about. Sure enough they were open and we put our order in and in 10 minutes it was ready for pick up. Not gonna lie, it was not the BEST pizza I ever had. But for 6 bucks and being the only place open to serve me at that hour it was pretty damn good. A few nights later around the same time I got a craving for a cheese steak. I decided to try one from there. Eh. They had no wiz so I got it with american and it was an 8 inch roll. Not that much meat on the sandwich and the roll was pretty chewy. BUT it cost me 5 dollars I believe. For 5 dollars I can’t really complain about it to much. I know I’ll be heading back there soon enough for more pizza when I’m up late at night. You got a fan here!

Best real Italian pizza in Delco to be sure. Not only the best pizza but the best price. We have been patrons for many years and will continue.

Is this the best pizza I’ve ever had? Nah. But for $ 6 and a true 10 minute pick up time it’s pretty damn good. The sandy bottom is a weird addition but ultimately unnecessary since it doesn’t seem to alter the taste or texture of the pizza. An extra star for being open late and accommodating my ridiculous sleeping habits. Cheers, Imperial!

Everyone who ever lived in the area knows and remembers Imperial Pizza. «The pizza with the sand on the bottom» to everyone born and raised Delco, but Imperial is much more. Well, maybe not THAT much more. But Imperial is the place that delivers to you late at night, even though it might take 45 min or more. It’s the place that will only be 10 minutes ’til it’s ready if you’re picking up, no matter how busy a night. It’s the place you went every weekend when you were in high school, but somehow they still know your name a decade later when you pick up a pizza a few times a year. It’s the place with the sweet sauce and the molten cheese perfectly proportionate to the thin crust for under $ 7 for what is essentially a large pie(they only have one size). Maybe it’s just the price, maybe it’s the comfort factor, or maybe it’s the taste of the pizza… Either way, Imperial always has been and always will be my favorite pizza back home. I wish I was eating one sitting on the hood of my car with my friends right now.

I’ve always been happy that they have stuck around so long. If you’ve lived in this area of Delco for the majority of your life like I have, then you know their pizza well. Perhaps you call it the«sand pizza» due to the cornmeal dusting. It’s good to have old reliable standards. This all being said, if you were to compare Imperial Pizza to some of the better pizzas in the area, it would lose. This was never gourmet pizza. Maybe it’s not meant to be, nor is it ever meant to be. But you can always count on Imperial to do two things right. 1) They’ll get you a decent large pie with one topping under 8 bucks. That’s just not happening enough around these parts anymore. 2) If they say your pizza will be ready in 10 minutes, it’s generally ready in 10 minutes. I’ve always respected their reliability. And sure, their pizza has always tasted pretty good to me. I only get it once or twice a year myself. Last pizza I got from there recently certainly hit the spot. I do think there’s better pizza in Delco. Just a personal taste. But I’ll never say no to an Imperial pie.
