Only open til 3 means this is a breakfast and lunch place so I wouldn’t exactly call that a ’ diner ’ because there is no dinner served… Pepsi was served in a CAN so you know what that means… No refills…

A solid choice for breakfast in Highlands County especially if you like that 50s retro look& feel. My dining partner and I enjoyed the 50s ATMOSPHERE and we both noticed that everything was wonderfully clean. Floors, tables, windows, you name it; it was all spotless. Our young waitress was very nice and quick with the coffee refills which are always appreciated. She also checked on us appropriately so CUSTOMERSERVICE was excellent. I ordered the Corned Beef Hash & Cheese Omelet @ $ 7.59. I chose home fries but I could have had hash browns or grits. I also chose wheat toast but biscuits were also available. My order was out quickly and very good. Everything was hot and flavorful and portion size was just fine. This is not gourmet cuisine but good, solid, basic food that fits in perfectly with the diner atmosphere. If you are coming from the South on Route 27, this is the first place you’ll see to grab a bite in Sebring and it’s worth a stop.

Food, excellent; portions large; wait staff ok; hostess RUDE and uncaring and ignored us after telling us to «wait a few minutes» and was again Rude. Otherwise things were ok

Sebring Diner is classic diner food and I stopped in for weekday breakfast. Not much going on, despite some traffic on Highway 27. I had a booth in the corner to myself and I read through the entire newspaper in peace. Corned beef hash omelet with home fries and toast. It was as good as it gets. Tasty fluffy egg folded around hash and then topped with a slice of cheese. The potatoes were a little greasy and some were a bit underdone, but the rest were quite good. Toast was perfectly toasted. Coffee was decent. Huge parking lot facing the road. All in all, a good way to start the day!

Food was decent — the sandwiches are very good! People, staff and other customers, were extremely friendly. Great value overall, and plenty of parking.

Wow yummy ! No frozen cysco burgers here ! The patty melt was deliciously juicy without being greasy, the rye was crispy. The nutty melted swiss went great with the perfectly cooked medium rare patty which was seasoned ! That you chef, for salting the burgers !

The three star average sounds right to us. We are frequent visitors and have all found menu items we truly enjoy, and we’ve all made some very forgettable choices too. But the staff are nice, the service is prompt, and it’s a decent, inexpensive option in Sebring.

Not what is was in the early and mid-2000s. It was excellent back then. Last time I went ate there twice over a two day period. One meal was so-so but the other very good. The hours are not so great as it closes at 3 pm so if one needs dinner there is a problem. I asked one of the waitresses who said she has been there for 10 years on what happened and she said the owner went to shorter hours as getting good employees became a problem. Another waitress said she heard the owner is getting along in age and does not want the hustle-bustle he was use to when he was younger. Sad to see things change but I guess that is the passing of time. Still better than any of the other places I went to around the area.

What happened to this place?! I used to stop here for breakfast every time I was riding to the mid-upper west coast of Fla., so needless to say I pointed my handlebars towards Sebring once again. I must have really tired as I slowed to pull into the parking lot. Why? What’s the rule especially for breakfast? If there are no cars in the parking lot, there’s very likely a good reason why. Bad on me for not heeding my own rules. There were more employees the customers…3 customers total, and I’m number four. I’m there for a couple minutes before a lady says«oh, go sit wherever». Oh boy, this doesn’t look promising, but I just want some simple grub at this point. Seems I threw them a difficult order of eggs, bacon & grits. Why difficult? Well, about 20 minutes later I had to wonder, just how complicated WAS my order. Then the waitress really drives home the reason I shouldn’t have even pulled into the parking lot when shes says«here honey, hot off the grill» as she actually delivers cold toast, room temperature eggs and room temperature soggy bacon! I’m guessing they didn’t have a cook in the back and merely drove to some place to pick up what was being discarded, drove back to Sebring Diner, threw it on a plate as «fresh off the grill’. Yeah, the grille of the car they drove to pick it up! Even the Coke tasted like crap. Seriously, how do you mess up a soda? Do your palate a favor, drive a little further into Sebring to find way better places to satisfy your tummy and retain your sanity! This place blows. Rant over.

Cook salted the omelet when it had feta(salt in cheese)! Wife couldn’t eat hers at all. Here home fries were poorly cooked and greasy. We will avoid

Came down to visit family and got hungry, found this cute diner. we walked in thinking it was going to be great food like every diner I been too, but I have to say the food was disgusting I kinda had to force myself to eat it Because almost all my family did not like what they where eating. And i didn’t really want to put all the att. on us. Only the kids liked their food cuz it was fried food! Thumbs down on this place! I have to say one positive our waitress was nice but wish I didn’t have to pay for the $ 14 steak :(

I have been there a dozen times over the past 5 years and have to say they were great years ago but not so much now. I bought a winter home near them last year and the locals say there is internal problems with the owners, management thet works its way down to the staff. If somebody has a few bucks, wait around awhile and you might be able to pick the business up for a song. Was a great place and needs somebody to build it back to where it once was.

Since the management made some changes in Sept., 2013, we’ve only been back twice. Both times were disappointing. The pancakes have been reduced to less than half the prior size, and once weren’t cooked through, and the second time they were burned. The servers are lovely girls, and do good service, but they seem to fear whoever is in the kitchen nowadays. If you send something back we were told privately by one of the servers, the server gets verbally abused by the kitchen cook. We used to eat there 3 times a week, but haven’t been back since the management change took place. Very sad because it used to be a great place to eat.

Yummy food! Ate here for our first time and I had the chicken tenders. It was a lot of food for one person. Honey mustard sauce was homemade and delicious!!! Taking home left overs :)

Nothing to write home about, they’re cheap but you get what you pay for. They messed up on my friends order first thing and their idea of certain sandwiches isn’t my idea.

This diner serves nothing that is worthwhile except maybe a glass of water. Have gone to this diner on a few different occasions to make the first visit right and they couldn’t. The food has no flavor and is almost always either over cooked or extremely dry. Then again that’s kind of fitting for about 60% of the people in this town. Dry, tasteless, and snobby.

This place is adorable. Seriously. It just oozes nostalgia and cuteness of the 1950’s. it also helps that it’s family owned(love that). Sebring diner is kinda weird. They are closed after 3 pm and closed every Tuesday and they will also close for several days to a week at a time for family matters, such as vacation. However, this is common with family owned and operated places I suppose. When we FINALLY came at a time that they were open, we came for breakfast. I had pancakes that were bigger than my face and super yummy hash browns. My husband had the biscuits and gravy and he said they were delicious. There were also a lot of other things on the menu that I’m really looking forward to trying. We also had very good service. My only complaint about this place is the time that they close. 3 pm is such an awkward time and I would really like to come here for dinner sometime. Oh well. I guess I’m restricted to just 2⁄3 meals a day.

Very good experience! I will definitely go back. The service was friendly and attentive. Hearty proportions and the shakes and thunder coffee are amazing! A great mom and pop diner.

When my family and I first visited the Sebring Diner in March of 2006, we were simply amazed at how delicious, fresh and natural the burgers and shakes tasted. So much so that whenever we travel by car, we plan on stopping at the diner. Unfortunately, between the 5 years that passed from our initial and the subsequent visit, the quality decreased from amazing to just plain normal. I don’t know why or how it happened, but the last 3 times(2011, 2012, 2013) I’ve dined there, it’s not nothing to write home about. It’s a shame really.

The best chocolate banana milkshake I’ve had. EVER. Friendly service, but an incredible wait for a table.
