ordered the raw oysters, full of sand… service was slow and indifferent, dinner was greasy and nothing spectacular… wouldn’t go back…

This bar is consistently packed with locals-usually a good sign. I have only sat at the bar on my visits, where food and beverage service was prompt. The prices are pretty standard, as is the food. Service is almost exclusively handled by women employees, who are pleasant. Keep in mind the drinking restrictions on Sundays in this county, with alcohol purchases only available after 12pm.

First choice. Great service, great food. I’ll always bypass every chain to see my friends at the Blue.

I ordered Shrimp Scampi… AGAIN!!! I just can’t get enough of it!!! The dish is so filling with a perfect amount of shrimp!!! Every time I visit I swear I’m going to try something different. Nope. Always stick with the best dish on the menu. You have to come in, sit back and chill! Best bar in Sebring!!!

Sports bar ambience: very good Beer selection: very good Local crowd enjoying the Sunday NFL: electric Service: terrible Stopped in after a long weekend @ the track for some food, drinks, and to relax. Taking a seat at the large bar, we were ignored for a good 5 minutes. Finally we were given a list of craft beers available on tap. When we ordered the local Tampa Cigar City, we were told«nope, we’re out». Ok. How about another local flavor: «nope, we’re out.» No effort there. No recommendation. Nothing but a smirky blank stare. Ok, may we have a few domestic bottles? Sure. Seeng steamed shrimp on the menu, we asked if they were fresh or frozen. «We’re 2 hours from either coast: how could we possibly have fresh shrimp?» Hmmm. This isn’t going quite like we would’ve hoped or expected. Ok. Guess we’re gonna head out. Please cancel our beer. Young, uninformed, small town folks with small brains and no clue gives one a lot of ammunition when sitting around thinking about worst-service-ever kind of places. Based on this less-than-stellar encounter adds to our database of places to avoid should we ever find ourselves in this part of the world again. We’ll pass.

It’s a good place to hang out and have a drink, cold beer, great food, and the staff seams to have just as much fun as the customers, places like this are a must, makes for an interesting experience.

For sure, this is a sports bar. Sports bar grub, at least a dozen televisions, a bartender/waitress with much skin showing, and a half-dozen or so beers on tap with lots of bottles available. On a Sunday night, with the NFL on the tube, the place was hopping pretty well and it filled up a bit as the game progressed. I had a seat at the bar and that gave me a pretty good view of at least two different TV’s with the football game and some other sports stuff going on. When the waitress stopped by(low cut tshirt, shorts, pony tail, ballcap on backwards — I guess that’s what she does for the tips) I ordered a beer, some boneless wings and a burger. The beer arrived in a smaller frosty mug. Wings and the burger arrived together, which was a bit annoying. The nuggets were not overly battered and did have some sauce on them, but the«hot» wasn’t really all that hot. The small tub of bleu cheese dressing went well with it, the extra dressing poured onto the burger. The burger itself was nothing special. The patty was cooked through, the bun was good and there was definitely a slice of cheese on it. I’m not quite sure why the tomato and the onion slices had to be so thick. Two slices each half that thickness would have been so much better. Overall, a decent bar meal and the game went well too.

So I blew in here on a Sunday afternoon looking for someplace COLD and DARK with CHEAP drinks and preferably CUTE bartenders. Check, check, check and check! COLD– let’s face it, it’s Central Florida and it was 92 outside. Cold is required and this place was chilled nicely. DARK– Oh yeah it was dark. In keeping with the name there was lots of blue neon but you still needed your phone’s flashlight to read the menu. BTW, the menu is huge with lots of seafood and plenty of fried stuff to soak up the alcohol. I had some Corn Nuggets with ranch dressing and they hit the spot just fine. CHEAP– Well drinks were about $ 4 and mixed drinks were similar so this requirement was filled with no problems. CUTE– It turns out this place has an all-girl staff with your standard cutoff shorts outfits. My very personable bartender said she liked Central FL because the living was cheap and she could make some money especially on Lingerie Nights. What, Lingerie Nights! Don’t you love dive bars! It turns out that once a month the bartenders wear lingerie to please the customers. As the night progresses, dancing on the bar is part of the act. I was just in town for a few days and I missed it but you best believe I’ll be checking the calendar the next time I visit! With or without lingerie this is a solid dive bar for the area and worthy of four stars!

This is the place the locals go for a laid back, fun atmosphere with amazing food! The smothered fries appetizer is the best, and they by far have the best chicken quesadilla I’ve had anywhere across the U.S. Their know for their chicken wings, and they deliver in that category, too. The girls that work there are always friendly and make you feel like you’re part of the family. The owners treat you like family, too. Can’t go wrong at «The Blue».

They do have good food, but the time it takes to get it to the table takes for ever. The owner knows he has a good thing going there and seems to care less at improving things. Staff comes and goes. The kitchen needs to be updated or enlarged to get the food out to the customers. Their happy hour on wings is great — but really? nickeling and diming people over celery and carrots? Clearly this owner has a take it or leave it attitude, we choose to leave it, there are other places in town now. So we avoid it being a local.

Food was great. Place was nice and clean. Waitresses were bad and ignored you to go to the back and talk with each other. The only time they stopped is when you flagged one down.

Great bar and resturant. The service was excellent, 5 starts. I had the red fish and shrimp, grilled, not blackened. The seafood was perfectly cooked and seasoned as were the fries. The grilled vegetables were cooked well but had too much of a smokey taste for me.

Great stop after golfing! Cold beer, big sandwich, plenty of menu choices. Large bar, darts, music. Everyone is welcome. Ate around 5pm, but it seemed the atmosphere may change later in the evening. Less eating, more drinking.

Found and tried this based on nothing more than Unilocal reviews and it is a winner! Great seafood and always packed. Sat at a booth in the back and service was fast and friendly. Will be back for sure!

Eat there all the time, usually very good. last time was terrible. You almost had to beg to get service. We had a thin tattooed server who was extremely rude. Asked for a beer and brought a bucket. Said that was what we ordered. We ordered another round, not a bucket. We did pay for the bucket, but left with the beer still in the bucket. Will go again, but if we get the same server, we will just leave. won’t be back. And I hate that, because it is usually a good place to go.

Blue Lagoon is a local dive bar that I really enjoy going to on a night out. The food is pretty good and prices are fairly reasonable. Blue Lagoon is pretty small and can get quite crowded in the evenings and on weekends. It can get quite loud especially during those previously mentioned peak hours. My wife prefers other restaurants in town but I like the atmosphere and food at Blue Lagoon. One of the only places in town to get gator, which I enjoy a lot.

Usually a wonderful experience, but today not so good. Burger had charcoal lighter fluid taste. All the fried food had a very fishy taste. Very disappointing.
