Yes! Immediately after the most disappointing experience at the overpriced neighbor, Marimar, Taft Street Winery saved our day. The guy pouring was easy-going, great sense of humor, knowledgable about the wines. The wines are PHENOMENAL and SO cheap. Seriously, the best wines we had of the day for $ 18/bottle?! I only wish we had bought more, but alas they wouldn’t have fit in my suitcase. They are also dog-friendly, and can recommend which other vineyards to check out in the area — the places they sent us were spot on. 5 stars for being unpretentious, dog-friendly, human-friendly, great service, and excellent wines at killer prices. Do yourself a favor and go here.

Nice and cozy :) Service is very nice. With purchase of wines, we received free tastings. Unique collection of wines! Definitely recommend going here if visiting Sebastopol!

Went here to start the Route 116 wine club members appreciation event as my friend is a member here. Very casual & inviting tasting room! They pour quite a few wines on a daily bases. The tasting room staff is friendly & knowledgeable and very attentive to all customers no matter how busy they are. They have outdoor seating and bocce ball on the grounds. Very peaceful & serene setting. The wines are very reasonably priced, their wine club is priced right & you can mix & match wines in your shipment. And they will be the first to tell you what wines are perfect to drink now and what is ok to drink but would be even better if cellared for a few year. Having that knowledge & sharing it with the customers in the tasting room is great! I highly recommend visiting this tasting room & if you are interested in joining a wine club I highly recommend this one as well! You won’t go wrong!

A real and unexpected find in Sebastapol, the wines here would easily command $ 5-$ 10 more a bottle if Taft Street winery were located in a more conventionally Sonoma wine country-y area of the county. Not that I am complaining. The tasting room is charming, modern, and well designed and not a bit pretentious. The outdoor patio has a bocce court. Wines are approachable, drinkable, and there are no butter or fruit bombs here. The winemaker has carefully crafted a consistent personality through all the wines, Pinot Gris, rose of Pinot or Syrah. These are smart wines for when you you just want an easy drinking wine. Translation: you are not cellaring these wines. You are going to bring them to friends’ homes for afternoon barbecues and drink them with takeout. And everyone will be happy and you will be stoked with yourself because you dropped less than $ 20/bottle.

Great wines at reasonable prices. Super friendly people. Love their pinot noir and syrah, even though we are not generally syrah drinkers. Visa Signature free tastings and 15% discount.

We popped in on a Monday afternoon and Greg gave us a great introduction and tasting experience! The wines were absolutely phenomenal, the Pinot noir was my favorite! Greg also recommended other delicious wineries in the area and we really loved the community vibe. Will definitely be recommending this place to others! Also– found your Pinot Noir in Somerville MA at «Ball Square Fine Wine». *so so happy*

We had a great visit at Taft. We went on a Monday afternoon(tastings are $ 5 but waived with purchase) and had the place to ourselves. Super friendly staff and good wines. We purchased the Medley and went out back and enjoyed a game of bocce. An intimate and urban setting was a good change from the typical tasting room. I could see where it might get a little crowded on a busy day but they also have additional seating outside. No pretensions here; just come, enjoy and relax!

Kaitlin was great in providing us wine for our wedding. We got a case each of the Pinot noir and Chardonnay. I mainly drank the Pinot out of all the wines at the wedding, among other things. Great with our menu. I was happy to find out there were some bottles left over after the wedding. I do like their new sauv blanc too. Always a go to winery for my wife and I.

You want to know what I think makes a winery? Since you are still reading I will assume you do, its the WINE! Usually I like to see where the grapes are grown, which is why I normaly go for tasting rooms on the vinyards but truly if the wine speaks to me I could care less if it was made in a garage. Which by the way is how Taft Street got its start. Taft Street makes a wonderful Pino Gris. It is my current favoriet Sonoma County white wine. Its fruity and sweet but refreshing and tart all at the same time. Yum. The tasting room is small but there is a bocci court behind where you can sip your new bottle and toss some balls around. $ 5 tasting fee, which is waved with the purchase of a bottle.

This is exactly the place your looking for in Wine Country. Small, friendly, knowledgeable and great tasting experience. Thanks Rich! Their wine is wonderful especially for the price. Definitely put them on your list of tasting stops! You will not be disappointed, unless your there to tour buildings first and wines second.

I should just say, «What Tamera B. said». That was my favorite as far as the wines on the Russian River Valley tour. Unlike Tamera B., I liked the fast pours because after all were tasted, the guy let us re-visit the wines we liked. I can’t say that any of them were below average, but my favorite is the Rose’ of Pinot Noir.

This was our 2nd stop on a Russian River Valley tour in Sonoma and my favorite wines of the day. I loved the clean, open space of the tasting room. A lot of natural lighting and neutral, warm colors. I can’t remember the name of the gentleman that helped our group but he had a fast pour. Barely tasting one before he was ready to move you to the next. That was my only slight gripe. The wines made up for it. I’m usually a red lover to the core but walked away with their Sauvignon Blanc — crisp and light and delicious on this early afternoon of leisure. There really wasn’t a wine that I did not like. I would definitely recommend it if you are touring the Russian River area of Sonoma County.

Taft… one of the hidden gems off occidental road as you cross 116 going west. Making some pretty good wines for a small production winery. What I enjoyed there most was the Reisling, but everything else there was decent. There are so many wineries that are good, but Taft is definitely worth the stop by.

A small, family owned winery where they will talk and pour wine all afternoon. Wine is affordable. Winery is nothing over the top, but sufficient enough to taste wine. I love their Mendocino Gewürztraminer!

Excellent quality wine for reasonale prices. Clean flavors, bright, fruitful. Relatively small operation. Tasting room is just 200 square feet. Minimal gift shop junk for sale. Cool! Tasting on a weekday is a leisurely & relaxed affair. Recommended!
