Hand-made cheese? YES, PLEASE! Love this little mom & pop store front-ish place on a goat and cow farm. Friendly cheese-making woman at the counter gives tastes of all the cheeses if you want. We chose 2 or 3 cheeses to try and ended up buying this incredible ball of goat cheese deliciousness: BoDacious: a fresh lactic goat’s milk cheese encased in a bloomy candidum mold to keep the paste tangy and spreadably soft. The goats, nearby in a pen, loved to be petted and you can’t help but love them. Can’t wait to be back in the area for a little wine-tasting and these wonderful cheeses. Goat cheese/milk/ice cream may not be for everyone — but we LOVEIT!

Great variety of unique cheese including a few from water buffalo. The fro yo made with goat cheese was delicious! It was very tangy and light and more watery than regular fro yo. We also tried a couple of cheeses and loved them. They are very flexible on the amount of cheese you can buy and not limited to half or full pound. Also walked around the grounds a bit and saw two twin baby goats(or sheep)?? Still can’t tell them apart :) they have a nice area where you can picnic with beautiful views. Definitely worth a visit if you love cheese and are in the area.

Fantastic cheeses, generous tastings in a beautiful setting, and super friendly service, all without any of the gourmet mark-ups typical of fancy cheese shops. Only regret is that we didn’t find this spot sooner!

Finally stopped here after driving by every week. Beautiful cheeses. Very reminiscent of a French cheese shop. Wonderful knowledgeable staff. Great place to picnic as funky artistic tables overlook Santa Rosa Laguna. Lots of character in décor. A three woman operation. We tried all of the cheeses. I bought the cheesecake tasting dessert cheese«Cowabunga»; delicious that evening on Effie’s Oatcakes topped with toasted walnuts and served with Port from Petaluma’s Sonoma Portworks. Will be back.

My wife and I were in the area hopping from winery to winery and were in desperate need of some really good cheese. After leaving Dutton Estate, we were told to head directly to Bohemian Creamery which was about 10 – 15 minutes away. We were so happy we made the trek. Being from Miami, the freshest cheese we have is whatever a place like Whole Foods has to offer. So when the opportunity arose to come to a creamery we couldn’t pass it up. We stopped in around 4:00PM and were greeted by the nice girl behind the cheese case. The creamery had about 10 – 11 cheeses to chose from and ranged from mild to very pungent. The girl was very nice and basically cut my wife and I a small piece from every cheese until we knew which ones we wanted to purchase. We chose about a pound of total consisting of two milds and one pungent. The cheese was amazing. You could tell how fresh it was and I’m pretty sure most of it is done on-site. It wasn’t overly expensive for high quality cheese as I think we spent around $ 18 for a pound. We made two more stops for some bread and salami and we had ourselves a picnic. I highly recommend stopping by Bohemian Creamery.

Another stop along the Sonoma Cheese Trail, we came to this small, cute store front, and was greeted by the friendly owner herself. Lisa graciously let us try as many cheeses as we wanted. Most though I didn’t care for but it was an interesting tasting nonetheless. Majority of the cheeses tasted too strong and funky for my palette. We did but 4 oz of Boho Belle, a creamy cheese with a milder taste as compared to the others. Appreciated Lisa’s willingness to let us buy any amount we wanted instead of by the ½ pound. Don’t recommend the goat milk froyo. Very strong goat milk flavor and it was icy. The machine is kept off during the slow season, but Lisa turned it on for ~5 minutes before serving it so we could try it. If we had planned our trip here further in advance, I would’ve liked to have scheduled a tour of the cheesemaking and farm. It’s always fun to see and learn about the process in addition to tasting the end product.

We came here, and really enjoyed the service we received, and the cheese is really good. We enjoyed being able to taste the cheese before we committed to buying it. Here are a few that we really liked: Bahboom Boho belle Holymoly Enjoy!

So, so fabulous. We were staying nearby and kept passing this place – had to stop in and see what it was. We tried a few cheeses and ended up buying three of them — so indulgently amazing. They carry a great variety(especially for a small-ish shop) and have something for everyone — soft and hard cheeses; goat, cow, water buffalo, sheep. Friendly as well. A smart stop and perfect for the cheese portion of your vineyard picnic.

If you’re gonna be in wine country then you’ll need some cheese! check out the interview we did with cheese maker Lisa G. on our food site: When near Sebastopol plan to stop at Bohemian Creamery for some of their Cowabunga and boho belle cheeses… the others are amazing too but these were our favorites. If you’re up there wine tasting, stop at Bohemian Creamery between two wineries. The first to get nice and loose, then you can try some cheese at creamery to soak up the wine, and then you can take a few of your favorites to the second winery where you can enjoy these amazing cheeses with some delicious Russian River wines with the beautiful Sonoma scenery around you. If you have the time, you should schedule a tour of the creamery. If things aren’t too crazy, you might get to play with the goats. The tour is really interesting/informative and you get to taste more cheese in the various stages of aging. Yum!

My wife and I were on our way to a winery when a sign on the side of the road caught our eyes. We took a quick right turn and we experienced some of the best cheeses we have ever tasted. I don’t remember the owners name but she was very nice and gave us great information on all her cheeses, as well as some yummy samples. Make sure to stop by if you are in the area.

The boyfriend and I were hopping from winery to winery when we saw the signs pointing us to Bohemian Creamery. Spontaneously we decided to stop. When we first walked it, things looked a little dubious but after talking to the person working behind the counter, I realized that it was just a small artisan business. They offered us free samples of anything we wanted to taste. Their cheeses were amazing. I don’t remember the name of it but the goat cheese with the caramel reduction inside was fantastic. We ended up buying a few wedges. Would definitely go back and buy even more next time.

A real little gem close to home. Samples and information freely given. Definitely worth a try. They also have a goat milk frozen yogurt that is very nice, some artisan fresh bread rolls, and a goat milk whey probiotic drink that is much better than anything I’ve tried @ Whole Paycheck. Friendly & helpful lady ‘mans’ the counter. Limited days open, so check the Web site before heading over. Yum!

My kids like cheese thought this place was great. We saw it on the farm trail map and then we saw signs to it while we were driving down the road during the Grand Fondo. They were very generous with the samples we tried 4 different cheeses. After we sampled and bought some cheese we visited with the goats. They were hungry for grass. we bought some cheese it will be perfect for dinner tonight!

We went here on a Sunday that was billed as a special«Farm Trails» event, where small farms are open to the public. I was surprised how little effort was made to introduce us to any of their products. There was no offer made to sample cheeses, or other products whatsoever. The owner was nice, and was informative about the goats on her farm, out behind the shop. But inside the shop, the staff wasn’t even very friendly. I purchased a very expensive, tiny cup of their frozen yogurt, which I’d read about and heard was delicious. What a disappointment. It was maybe the worst frozen yogurt I’ve ever had. Grainy, crystallized texture, not smooth at all, and with little of the Meyer lemon flavor it supposedly was. I know their cheeses are top notch, as I’ve had them elsewhere, but visiting this retail site was not worth the trip.

Cute little creamery tucked away in the woods of Sebastopol. The lady at the store is super nice and very easy going with the free cheese samples. I’d stop by if I’m back in the area for cycling again.

ok so i love cheese. If I was an AA meeting type, i would attend the Cheese Anonymous meetings. I was really excited to go to this creamery because she has 5 star reviews — maybe that is the issue. I am not saying i was not content. but 1) i imagined i would encounter more of a farm type environment with someone discussing cheese making. This was not the case. There are goats and cows behind a fence — yes but all this place really is, is a small cheese shop. 2) the owner wasn’t there and her assistant was nice — no problems there. The issue i guess was more that no one explained anything about cheese making, we were just there to buy the cheese so i could have gone to whole foods for that. 3) The other thing is. if i have to be honest. i can’t say this is the best cheese ive had in my life. to say the least. i tried almost all of them and there are two i thought were just horrible. and i have never ever said that about a cheese. Usually if i dont like it, i still eat it. This was not the case. The others were ok, nothing too exciting(in my humble opinion). The cowmoly one was my fav if i had to choose one. I bought some because i tried them all so i felt responsible to consume but otherwise, i wouldnt have bought any. 4) sadly, the cardamom agave ice cream machine was out of order.

Just stopped by due to the sign off the highway and ran into a little farm with goats and a cute little cheese shop with a charming lady behind the counter. Sampled cheese made from the milk of a water bison that apparently lives up the road. Try the goat milk fro yo! Not sure where else you’re going to get that.

Lisa makes great cheeses from cow, sheep, goat, and water buffalo milks. I give these cheeses A+ for Aritisan! Thank you Lisa for going above and beyond.
