Sad to post this. Sad to have lost trust in my favorite store. I’ve been shopping here for years. I bought a bag of garbanzo beans that were infested with weevil eggs. They hatched and infested my entire pantry. Forcing me to spend hours throwing out hundred of dollars with of food. I still can’t get rid of them. Initially when I called to tell them the women was super kind and empathetic which is all I needed. When I went in to talk to them more I spoke to Dee. He told me I screwed up thinking I can leaving beans in my pantry for 7 months. Don’t screw up people. Don’t screw your self. Don’t shop at andys. You will end up wasting countless hours cleaning and wasting expensive food.

Great produce and helpful folks. I was making pickles a small gaggle of knowledgeable ladies were great with advice. Maybe they don’t encounter too many men making pickles from scratch. Anyway my go to for veg.

WONDERFUL produce. Simply wonderful. I am a huge sucker for quality produce and farmers markets — this place is definitely up there on my list of favorite markets. I live in SF, but whenever I make my way to this part of wine country, I always have to stop in. The last time, we stopped in over the 4th of July. Most restaurants in the area were closed, so we were trying to find something for lunch. We thought we’d be limited to wine, cheese, fruit/veggies, etc.(which would have been fine), but nope! They had wonderful lunch selections(gourmet salads, sandwiches, etc.) — of course, shouldn’t have been surprised ;)) We actually decided that we may just opt to grab lunch from there next time vs. going out or prepping a picnic ahead of time. The food was delicious :) Definitely will continue stopping in — good at any time of the year, as everything is fresh and seasonally stocked.

Cute market on the side of the road that has a lot of interesting things. Vegetarian and Vegan shopper friendly. They have a nice selection of produce, frozen foods, cheeses, supplements, snacks etc. We always find something good to snack on when we go to Andy’s. It’s a nice stopping point whether you’re on your way to a hike or a hotel!

This place has good produce — everything was fresh and well priced, but the set up was a bit weird with the same kind of fruit on the inside as well as outside(I’m not sure what separated those two sets of peaches seeing as they were both unripe). Their big advertisement was also for salmon, farm raised, but this came in single wrapped fillets, as opposed to whole fish or even large pieces of fish. It feels like the place is caught between trying to capture a farm store feel and at the same time trying to attract hordes of customers with supermarket packaging and not entirely meeting either of those goals.

Andy’s is beautiful even to walk through with it’s top notch fresh produce and fine food. If you go to the left when you enter you will find yourself tantalized by all the ingredients for a great party or picnic. Do not miss the local fresh salmon now available. There is a friendly comfortable atmosphere in the outside sitting area by the coffee and juice shack. Bike racks are provided for the cyclist like us who often stop for refreshments. If you have not been there yet you need to visit.

Andy’s has a really awe inspiring array of fresh local produce, cheese, meats, grains, hippy medical supplements, and wine. If you want it, and it’s delicious, they have some sort of local provider. I had two great moments the last time I visited: Moment one: grabbing a bunch of bottles of wine for a dinner party, a grocer walked over and dropped a box in my cart so I would have an easier time carrying the wine from my car later. He just casually dropped the box in, striding from across the room, and saying«You look like you need this.» Moment two: My boyfriend couldn’t find the ricotta for the ricotta pancakes he was planning on making for breakfast(hands off ladies, he’s taken). He asked a nearby, high school aged employee for assistance, who replied, in possibly the most helpful and earnest voice that I’ve ever heard, that he would go get«the Expert.» The Expert arrives, strides to the cheese area, lifts up a tub of ricotta, hands it to my boyf, and says«This will be the Best Damn Thing you’ve Ever Tasted.» He then strode away confidently. It really was very good ricotta.

One of my favorite places, when I have the extra cash. Not totally expensive, but also not the best prices in town. Great selection and always enjoy the atmosphere :)

Glad to show my sister a place that doesn’t laugh at her when she asks for kumquats. Always been pleased every time I visit. Their organic coffee shop is addictive, so watch out.

Love Andy’s! Great produce at a fantastic prices. Forget any chain grocery store or farmer’s market… the only better and cheaper is growing your own! Lots of other funky items. I wish they had more meat and fish so I really could make it my one-stop grocery destination.

This is easily one of the best supermarkets you could ever come across in California. They have fresh produce, delicious prepared treats, and even a section where you can buy otherwise expensive things in bulk. If you can’t find it at Andy’s, you can’t find it anywhere. While I myself live down in Long Beach, my mother lives in Guerneville, about a 30 – 40 minute drive from this market, and every time I go up to visit her, we go to this market. The food they sell here is so good that no matter how much of it you buy, you always want more. There are only two downsides to this place that I can think of. First of all, it’s practically in the middle of nowhere(only accessible by traveling on 116) and second, prices can get pretty outrageous. I mean come on. $ 35 for a 5 oz. block of cheese?!? It better be some of the best cheese I’ve ever had if you’re going to charge that much for it. Some of their olives are expensive too. Their prices are more expensive than Kroger, but cheaper than Whole Foods. Still, most of what you get is totally worth the price. Also, there is a little coffee/donut shop right outside it that serves some pretty good tea and other drinks too. It’s cheap and the woman who runs it is really friendly(she’s very pretty too), so be sure to stop by her kiosk if you ever come to Andy’s. This is where real chefs and people in need of some quality food need to go.

Expensive but has good produce. Like a local Whole Foods. But possibly even more pricey than Whole Foods(!).

I have shopped at Andy’s for a long time, and remember it as a small roadside farmer’s market. Over the last few years I have purchased a 50lb. box of loose carrots about every two weeks and a 20lb. bag of organic flax about that often, as well. This is for an old horse, so we weigh everything she gets in order to be consistent. The last box I got was light, so when I finished it I ran the numbers and found it had been 9lbs short. I called Andy’s and spoke with a manager who was nice about it until I expressed concern that I had not wondered if it was actually 50lbs. I was getting until now and did he have any suggestions. He suggested I have them weigh the box before I purchase and I thought that was a great idea. Apparently, he was being sarcastic with that suggestion because his comments got snippy and angry from that point on and I asked him to please not take it personally. He told me I should talk with Jack, a long-time manager who was not in that day, but would be in the next day. When I went in, I approached someone working in produce and asked for Jack. They said he had just left. I started to mention the carrots and he knew right away who I was, which I thought was a good thing. NOT. I was told to follow him and he took me all the way to the loading dock cooler in the back, saying several times that he did not know why any box would be short. He grabbed a cart and slapped two boxes of carrots on it and took it to the scale. He threw one box on and it read 55lbs., which I assumed would be because the box added weight. I suggested this, but it was shrugged off. Then he grabbed an empty box and threw that on the scale and took carrots out of the second box to put in the empty box on the scale until it weighed out to 4lbs. He tossed all this back on the cart and left with me trailing behind. There was no conversation, no apologies, nothing. It was all very angry feeling and I had a hard time not feeling as if I was the bad guy. When we got out to my car, I asked about the manner in which I was being treated and was told he was just tired. Me? I feel inclined to shop elsewhere. Will this matter to Andy’s? No, because it seems they are no longer a small community market that knows and cares about their neighbors on a personal level.

I love this little market and have been going here since I was a little girl. The grocery section is a little pricey but the produce is great and they have a lot of great local food and dairy which I love. So if your going for things like fruit snacks, don’t. But if you are looking for a good bulk selection, fresh produce or specialty items this is a great place, my only complaint is the employees aren’t the friendliest sometimes and seem a little unhappy. Maybe it’s because it is so cold in there. That does not include the coffee stand. They are great and always friendly.

Don’t be fooled, they have waaaaayyy more stuff than a typical produce market. Perfect for daily shopping, picnics, parties. Great organic selections. Best service of any grocery store. Try them. Ask for something odd. They’ll find it, a good substitute, order it or tell you where to get it.

Good selection of fresh fruits and vegetables at fair prices. The produce qualty is always better than a typical supermarket. Fresher and more tasty. Andy’s is a mini-chain with other locations in Fulton(north Santa Rosa) and Sonoma.

I have said this before and I will say it again: We that live in San Francisco have it soooooo good… we are soooo spoiled. Andy’s produce is a great place. It pales in comparison to places in San Francisco but when you put it into perspective of out in Petaluma… This place is great. Their bulk food stuff is great(it is nowhere near as amazing as Rainbow in SF)…but they had tons of good stuff. Their veggies are nice and fresh… mostly locally and organic. Their breads are fresh, locally sourced, and an amazing selection of things. I loved the nut selection, the hot sauce and specialty sauce selection, and the olive oil and vinegar selection was great as well. 50 bucks latter I have an amazing selection of nuts, hot sauces, and condiments… Im set for the year. If you are up this way… it is definitely worth your while

Still a fan of this gem of a place. Today it was olive oil(first cold pressed for $ 10.99!), walnuts, olives, olives, and more olives, and some very delicious looking cheeses, one I’ve never heard of but is described on the label as «This is delicious.» How could I resist that? Their homemade(or whoever makes it) southwestern quinoa salad is freaking delicious. Perfect lunch salad.
