Alive Yoga

This is one yoga studio where ‘user friendly’ business practices is a fact, rather than an intention without action. In a town where there are so many yoga studios, it’s impressive to find one which actually strives to remove ‘no value’ hoops one must leap through.
I bought a Groupon for Alive Yoga. Over the next 2 months, I traveled on business and was once again in danger of having a Groupon expire. I’ve been turned down before by other yoga studios, but Liz (Alive’s onwer), not only answered the phone, but graciously extended my discount ticket. In my experience no other business considered extending the discount promotion expiration date. One wonders what is the benefit to having unforgiving deadlines.

I found Alive a few months ago through my neighbor. It is a sweet hidden studio in the shopping center near starbucks and next to the kefiry. It is an intimate space with small class sizes and wonderful teachers. I was happily surprised to find such experienced teachers in the Iyengar and Anusara tradition. Alive brought me back into my personal practice with fine-​tuned alignment instruction with teachers Liz and Mark. It is a great place to work with knowledgable teachers in a small nurturing community.
