We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. Kids give it 4.5 stars, but the parents says 4. Still pretty good. I love the nostalgic pizza parlor feel. I’d stop in next time we’re in Long Beach.

Excellent pizza! Nice relaxed dinning environment. Perfect for eating out with kids. Fast service and a lot of tables.

I’ve been coming here ever since I was a kid, it just seems like they’re not even trying anymore. Pretty sad. A lot of great memories here. The pizza seems to get more & more disappointing. Especially for the price

Doesn’t even warrant one star. We are from out of town and called in a To Go order 45 minutes before they closed. Hubby went to retrieve it. My half was ground beef, mushroom and fresh tomatoes. He got back to the cottage and I took one bite and realized it was sausage and not ground beef. I call at 7:50(they close at 8pm). The young man answered«Chico’s and we are closed!» I told him I had a problem with our order and he argued with me to the end that they used the ground beef. My husband and I know the difference between lean ground beef and pork sausage. I can’t eat pork sausage or pepperoni due to dietary restrictions and this guy wouldn’t even try to fix it because he was closing shop in 10 minutes. NEVERAGAIN! Very sad, because anytime I travel up to Long Beach, I stop here for the pizza I’ve had for years. Time to find a better pizzaria that has outstanding customer service! Don’t recommend it!

Tasted like frozen pizza. You have to pay for water. The olives in the salad bar and on the pizza were borderline spoiled. But, the service was even worse! I wanted a beer, and she told me that I had to go to a separate counter to order alcohol. I went to the other counter and waited. And waited. We were the only customers in the whole place! 4 employees saw me waiting and none of them acknowledged me! After 5 min of waiting, I gave up. My partner and I decided to focus on a positive, so the only thing that was decent was the ranch dressing.

We got a combination pizza on our most recent stay in Ilwaco. We absolutely loved our pizza! The crust was perfect– tender and slightly crunchy. The pizza was amazing! We even ate the last few pieces for breakfast the next morning! Don’t be scared off by some of the negative reviews! Try this place yourself! This pizza place has been around for quite some time now! I think they have great pizza figured out!!! We will definitely go back next time we are in the area!

Pizza done right in Long Beach! I was originally concerned about the other reviews, but all that was cast aside after the first bite. Yes, the crust is thin… and delicious! Piled high with toppings and just the right crunch. With a salad, pizza, and beer, it was a hit with all of us!

If this is the«best pizza in town» it HAS to be because it’s the only pizza in town. First off, no water? Who doesn’t have water? Second, the salad bar was out of everything but lettuce, carrots and dressing. Third, no one was wearing gloves. All of that is forgivable if the pizza was good, ATALL. The crust is thin and dense with no flavor, canned ingredients, weird greasy fake cheese, akin to frozen Tostino’s pizza… left out for a week… and barfed on. And this is from someone who still loves Little Ceasar’s. Do yourself a favor, go to Sid’s, buy a frozen pizza, throw it in the dirt and eat that instead.

Incredible pizza!!! Been coming here for decades and my parents had been coming to this once franchise for decades. It hardly ever disappoints, although there have been a few times when it hasn’t been all that good. But luckily nearly all the time it is delicious with a fun atmosphere!

This pizza never disappoints. Years after years, this pizza holds true! Order a Sorethumb and a cold beer. The place itself may not be fancy or overly clean, but the important thing to remember is the pizza is always good! The salad bar, years ago, used to be amazing. It is just okay these days, with less options available. Nothing to complain about, but nothing special anymore either. Bring back the peas and I wouldn’t even mention the boring salad bar now! Better yet, grab a pizza to go and sit on the boardwalk and enjoy the view there!

Best pizza in town. Lots of space. TV and few games for the kids to entertain them. Can buy beer and wine. From the second counter. Great family place.

It was good but I have never paid $ 88.00 for 3 pizzas. It to expensive And the service was not great. For $ 88.00 I would expect more toppings and a more sauce. The pizzas where dry and burned. Will never go back. Sucks because I vacation in Long Beach every year and that’s the only pizza place in town.

Not good… We ordered a simple large cheese pizza for $ 16. It was this crusted with burnt cornmeal on the bottom with very little sauce with no flavor. Very greasy. Also when I asked for a side of sauce for dipping the crusts in the pointed to a kid scooping sauce out of a Sysco can into 2oz cups«with no gloves» we have extra sauce for $.50 extra. Not impressed at all.

A bit disappointed. The pizza was OK… great crust, but the rest was mediocre. Not bad, just mediocre. A large dining room, but mostly empty. Not sure I’d go back; there has got to be better pizza in the area.

Well if you like a very dirty and smoky place to eat dinner this is just for you! Only seen one person back there wash there hands in a hour. If you like slimy canned veggies on your pizza this definitely your place. Spent $ 41 on a pizza and wings and we were very disappointed in quality of ingredients and the burned crust didn’t help! Will never go back or recommend

Growing up in Long Beach, you couldn’t beat this pizza. Period. Now that Kevin is gone, quality is gone. The crust used to be AMAZING… Now, not so much at all. I was kind of embarrassed with how much I bragged about the pizza, then giving to my guests– I had to apologize. Sorry Chicos. No longer a bragging point on the peninsula…

During a long weekend in Long Beach, I decided to check out Chico’s. Not the best idea I ever had. This place is huge and had a smattering of customers for a Saturday night. Let’s start with the pizza: It was good. I like that fact that they used a pizza oven, not the rolling type that heats top down. A solid crisp crust with good toppings. The sizes are generous as a large fed 4 people with leftovers. That’s where the 3 stars came in. The rest of the experience left a lot to be desired. This place is huge and when you order, you are given a number. OK, not strange. It is a bit unsettling when standing there ordering and a guy from behind the counter starts screaming. Yup, no microphone. The booths are red vinyl. Well some are, some are red and black duct tape. Or red and yellow(as in the gaping holes showing the yellow foam). There is not a lot of care going on in Chico’s. If you need a quick pizza fix, get this pizza to go.

This place is full of liars. I called and confirmed they would take a pizza order until 930. When I called back at 920 they refused to take my order stating they had been closed for an hour. Their hours on Unilocal and other Web sources confirm they are open until 10 so I was being polite ensuring the order was placed in time to get them out of there by close. When I explained the situation politely I was told I was being rude and then the lady hung up on me. Sadly this sort of behavior seems to be prevalent in this town and things would be much better if they went out of business and we’re replaced by a domino’s or a pizza hut.
