I went to the location in the CD, not Beacon Hill. so not sure if there is another location. In any case, I am *thrilled* with my recent haircut from Heather, and will be returning for sure! She really listened to what i wanted and had obvious skills when it came to cutting my unruly wavy hair. this is the first time in a long while that i have been truly happy with my hair– thanks Heather! See you soon!

As a gal with curly hair moving across the country from the first stylist to GET my hair it was a daunting prospect to search for a stylist and end up with a string of bad or just lackluster cuts. Well, I got it so right on the first try! Heather is a kind, talented delight and it is so great that we share a passion for the environment and thus try to minimize synthetic and harmful ingredients in products. I left with a spunky fun cut and for as long as I am in Seattle I look forward to all of the perfect styles Heather will create, and all of the fun conversations to be had. Go see Heather, really, find out what you’ve been missing.

After carefully researching where to get a long-overdue and much needed haircut, I chose Heather. And I couldn’t be happier that I did. She took the time to ask plenty of questions and really listen to my likes and dislikes, and what my haircare routine consisted of. She kept in mind what I wanted, but also made great suggestions and told me what would work with my hair type and what wouldn’t. By the time I left, I felt so much better and happier about my hair! I loved that she was really conscious of the types of products and haircare companies that were good for your hair AND the environment. And that all the hair that ends up on the floor actually gets put to good use a la and their oil spill hair mats program. I’m definitely looking forward to coming back here:)

I can’t remember a time I’ve been this happy with a haircut! Here’s a blow by blow of my experience: Husband dropped me off — I could have walked, seeing as I live only three blocks away. I wasn’t exactly sure I was at the right place, as Heather works from the ground floor of a townhouse. Don’t let that scare you though! It looks just like a salon on the inside. Even better though! there were cute clouds painted on the ceiling, nice flooring, and even one of those vacuum sweepy hair things that sucks up all the hair cut off our heads. Heather was finishing up the previous appointment — some guy with a super cute haircut. His gf was there and I got to see before pics — just want to say that he went from looking like a drama techie to a pretty suave lookin’ guy! Lucky her! :P Skip ahead to my appointment — we started off by talking about what I liked and didn’t like in the past, what I was looking for, and how I usually take care of my hair. I think Heather took about 20 – 30 minutes doing this!(she said her first appointments with people take a little longer) After that, she used some aroma therapy and gave me a head/neck/back massage — very relaxing! Then we got into the washing of the hair. At this point, stylists are usually scorning you for the type of product/shampoo you use and you feel really guilty, but probably don’t want to change your ways. Heather actually gave convincing reasons behind why I should change and why it would be beneficial to me on a chemical level(especially with respect to harnessing curly hair). I don’t like feeling guilty or embarrassed about the products I use and I didn’t feel that way at all! Onto the cut — Heather was very informative along the length of the process; telling what she was doing and why. It wasn’t awkward or hard to chat with her, like it is with some stylists when you force conversation. I feel like this is getting long — the main point is that I look super awesome now thanks to her. I even got a compliment on my hair later that day! Score! Oh also, don’t get freaked out if you can’t find her address online — her business is legitimate and if you book an appointment, the confirmation email will send you the address.

I am stopped on a daily basis by people who tell me they love my hair and what a great haircut I have.(even in the growing out period) Who doesn’t love to hear that? Heather exudes warmth and nurturing, professionalism and perfectionism. Her personal salon is where the good stuff happens! And, it’s sooooo good I tell ya… so very, very good. You wear your hair everyday… trust this woman to make you look your best!

Never have I EVER had experiences as consistently amazing as I’ve had with Heather at Zendipity. Every time I go to see her, I leave saying«this is the most amazing cut I’ve ever had. You did it again! You’re magic!» I’ve been going to Heather for about 2 years now, and get tons of compliments on my hair — even when it’s 6 months grown out(in fact, my profile pic is a cut from Heather that’s about that old. Pretty good, huh!). A friend from New Hampshire even took 360 degree photos of my head to take to her stylist back home. Heather, seriously — you don’t charge enough for the beautiful work you do. $ 125 for a cut and partial foil? It would’ve cost me $ 180+ somewhere else, for not nearly the same quality of experience and results. She’s sweet, kind, gentle, fun, and makes you feel relaxed, happy, totally pampered. Go see her!

As you can see in my profile picture(and almost every picture of me since I was 12) I have very curly hair. It’s truly a blessing and a curse; let’s talk about the curse, it is SOHARDTOFINDSOMEONEWHOCANCUTCURLYHAIRTHAT I’VELEFTSALON’S ONTHEVERGEOFTEARS. And just when I thought all hope was lost; I was recommended to Heather at Zendipity, who does WONDERFUL cuts for curly hair. Her technique is amazing, my cuts grow out well(no mushroom heads here) and I’m never sitting in front of a mirror 4 weeks later trying to do a bad-cut fix. Her studio is relaxing and comfortable and Heather is a total doll. I really appreciate her consciousness of her clients surroundings, both indoors and out. It’s obvious that she makes the effort to use environmentally friendly products for the health of her clients and our Earth. Also, she has this vacuum thing that automatically cleans the hair off the floor. It’s a really nifty set-up. Her prices are more than fair. I would pay more(are you reading this Heather ?) As I’ve had miserable haircuts for almost twice as much. The $ thing doesn’t have a value for this review, but let it be known that I’ve paid between $ 35 – 120 for a haircut. The skinny: Ambiance 5(comfy, stylish and clean) Skill 5+(I have curly hair, people, it takes mad skill) Heather 5+ Parking 5 Product 5 Cost 5
