Yummy Teriyaki is definitely yummy. Their chicken teriyaki and chicken katsu are flavorful and what you would expect from a teriyaki restaurant. Not sure what the past reviews regarding portion size are all about… you get a lot of protein and rice with your order. It also comes with a salad, which is basically just iceberg lettuce and dressing. Delivery has been consistently on time and the food comes hot. I highly recommend it if you’re looking for a quick meal at a decent price.

I ordered delivery from them. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes(I was told it would be 30 – 45 minutes) I decided to call the restaurant to see if there was a mix up and my order did not go through. The person I talked to was unhelpful and told me to be patient because the delivery driver had other orders to deliver. The lady also said the driver had left with the food 30 minutes ago. The food came after 1 hour and 33 minutes. So that means that the food was ‘in delivery’ for over 45 minutes. No wonder why the food was all soggy by the time it was delivered. This place has neither good food or good service, so please do yourself a favor and eat anywhere else.

It’s one of my regular go-to’s for lunch: Quick, reasonably priced, great portions, and delicious. No complaints about anything here! I like getting the chicken breast bento, but I’ve changed it up several times before and have never been disappointed. :)

I would definitely recommend this place over any other teriyaki places in Queen Anne! It’s delicious and their sushi is good too!

This is my favorite teriyaki place. Its all in the sauce. My favorite is the Chicken«breast» teriyaki. The portion size & the chicken isn’t dried out. The quality of the food is the difference from the others. Also, they deliver too!

Stopped in tonight 20 minutes before closing and ordered Mongolian beef, which they typically are spot on, but got some dried out reheated chicken dish I couldn’t identify? Live a block away, called them, she tried to tell me that’s what I ordered and went stone cold silent on me. Nawww, had they offered to make it up to me, maybe ok, 3 strikes and out. Bring back the McDonalds Express and leave it open til 2, this place? uh uh…

The other reviews complaining about the sushi… who gets sushi at a cheap place like this? Stick to the katsu, teriyaki, or gyoza and you won’t be disappointed. You won’t be impressed either, but you get what you pay for.

This place isn’t a place I am too crazy about. I’ll keep this short and sweet, the portions were way tiny and the chicken we got was dry. What is up with Queen Anne, there is like 50 Thai restaurants in about a block radius but not a decent teriyaki place?

Absolutely horrible service. The place is about 4 blocks from my location. Me and some friends ordered delivery. When the driver came she said that she forgot part of my order. I then asked her if it would be refunded, she didn’t have an answer for me. When k signed me receipt she said«where’s the tip? You have to tip, that’s why we have free delivery!» When I politely replied«I feel like I shouldn’t tip because my order is incomplete, and you are the one who said you forgot the item». She then became very angry and said«If you dont tip, we will never deliver to you again!!» I replied with, «I don’t tip for incomplete orders with no guarantee of a refund». She then drove fast out of the parking lot, running a stop sign. I stood there with my mouth open like… what just happened… I called the manager later and he seemed care free. I told him about the incident and he listened, I stopped talking after I asked if we are banned or not and he didn’t say anything for 4:32 seconds when I said… hello?! He then said«what do you want then». Anyway y’all can see where this goes on. Save your money and go elsewhere. Horrific

We stopped here on a Saturday afternoon around 3pm after a busy day of using our city passes. The food was decent. the place was clean and quiet, and we were served very quickly. The sushi was a little different than what we were used to, and it wasn’t quite the quality that we’re used to either. I liked my teriyaki chicken. I paid extra for all white meat and it was worth it. All in all, this was a nice little stop for our tired feet. but nothing amazing. They also seemed weirded out that we had a little kid with us. there was no kid menu, but our kid liked the fried prawns.

ZEROSTARS. It’s been a long time since I’ve been this dissatisfied/offended/disgusted/pissed off at a restaurant, so there in itself warrants a Unilocal review. I searched for a quick takeaway/delivery teriyaki restaurant that would deliver to my work since I wanted something light(tofu/broccoli stir fry). I came upon this establishment as delivery friendly within 3.5 miles, and since my office made the cutoff, I went for it. Now, it’s important to note that going into this experience I had very low expectations(think panda express), and given the ordering via Mobile FOS, I knew this meal wasn’t going to be anything special. I placed the order online and waited the designated 40 minutes… 45 minutes… 50 minutes… 60 minutes… 65 minutes…75 minutes…80 minutes??? WHATTHEACTUALFUCK. THEFOODNEVERARRIVED. REPEAT. THEFOODNEVERARRIVED. No Phone Call No Email No Text NONOTHING. They DID manage to charge my credit card immediately for the invisible food that, once again, NEVERARRIVED. So now I’m sitting here, it’s been almost 2 hours with no phone call or communication, and I’m trying to decide how this place is still in business. Since I’m starving, it would do me no good to call in and re-order, so I’m going to report them immediately and call my bank and call it a day. This is absolutely unacceptable, and I’m going to make a valiant effort to spread the word to AVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS. That is, unless you’d like to pay for food you’ll never receive. #endrant

The best part about this teriyaki place was the cook on the meat. I find it all too common for teriyaki places to have dry and burnt meat. While I have only been here a few times I have never run into that problem. I can say the rice leaves a little to be desired but it serves it’s purpose. Overall, I recommend it.

Finally got around to trying this spot! My overall experience with it goes a little like this… Service — Good overall. Fast, and friendly enough. No issues here. Food — Hit and miss for me. Salad and rice were good. Meat tasted as though it may have been microwaved, versus off a grill. And let’s be honest, I love just a hint of char w/my teriyaki, so I was a bit underwhelmed here. Pricing/portions aren’t skimpy, nor generous — they’re in the realm of «fair». Overall, this place will do the job if you’re in lower Queen Anne, and in a pinch for some teriyaki(There aren’t many options in the neighborhood), but with plenty of great Teriyaki spots all over the city, it isn’t something I’d go too far out of my way for.

Sushi was terrific, the first gig rolls were top notch, and the fried rice was steamed to perfection. Thank you! Minus a star for forgetting the extra sauce, but besides that perfect!

Living in Belltown for 4 years I started coming here when it opened. I took takeout multiple times a week, I loved it and was my favorite Teriyaki restaurant in the general Seattle area. I don’t live in the city any longer but I was there today and decided to have lunch since it had been some time since. First and foremost the quality of meats used at Yummi Twas/is a step above their peers however you pay for it. Lunch cost me $ 16.67 w/tip. However, changes I immediately noticed, the volume of portions have dramatically decreased. In the past you would always have left overs which helped offset the cost. I ordered a regular sized meal, they have a small sized plate too which must be quite small. Additional observations, it was lunch hour so 2/3rds of their tables were full(only one server) but the service was terrible. I had to get up to get everything other than lunch plate… really? I have never not tipped and I should have today. I did tell my waiter re; my concerns. Bottom line, the cost vs. the quality is lacking and I will be looking for another Teriyaki/Japanese restaurant in Seattle. Lastly, the older Japanese gentleman who I believe owns the place, shouldn’t be in the service industry, he is not very nice.

For those nights when you don’t want to leave the house, this place is one of my favorite places in West Seattle that delivers food. The chicken and vegetables all taste very fresh unlike a lot of the neighboring competitors. The lady who typically delivers is really nice. Similar to another reviewer, we also use to order via Eat24. We were told by the delivery person that Eat24 does charge a fee to the business, so it would be better to call the restaurant directly or to order from their business website. This was off-putting to another reviewer. I’m all in favor of supporting the local West Seattle small businesses, so if they can save money, I am willing to help out by calling direct.

Ridiculous! I actually got up and walked out of here today. Before I explain why, a little background: I started going to Yummy Teriyaki back before The Armory at Seattle Center was remodeled. I would never eat there so I would try different places in Queen Anne. I stumbled across this place which is on the same block as Metropolitan Market. Up until today, I have received consistent experiences. The prices were not too expensive, the food not bad, and service always acceptable. The space has always been clean with lots of tables to sit at. They have a good selection of bottled/canned beverages. The portions have been good — love the bento style food. Fast forward to today… I was in Queen Anne to meet a friend. I had limited time on my lunch hour(but more than enough time to eat at Yummy Teriyaki). Upon entering, I was immediately asked if it was for here or to go. After replying«for here» I took a seat. I looked around that this is what I saw in terms of customers: 1 female with no food in front of her, 2 tables with 2 males eating their food, and 1 table with 2 adults and an infant who were just receiving their food. The woman who had greeted us at the door, was running around like a chicken without a head. You know how sometimes people are overly dramatic and become borderline dangerous as they cut corners of tables and bump into things? That’s what was going on. She ran over, put menus on the table and asked if we wanted drinks, which we ordered. She also asked if we wanted forks or chopsticks and we told her our preference. She then ran to the table next to us and frantically started wiping the table. Did I mention this was at 1:30pm? Hardly the lunch time rush hour. She brought us our drinks and then asked if we were ready to order. I ordered the sushi bento with chicken katsu. I was told she was out of sushi. I’m sorry, um, what? Out of sushi. It took me a few seconds to comprehend what she was saying and I pointed to my friend and told him to order while I decided. She took his order and abruptly said she would be right back and ran away. She checked someone out(understandable), then calculated someone’s check that was still eating and clearly not ready for the check, then answered the phone. After that, we waited 10 minutes for her to return but she wasn’t really doing anything other than fidgeting at the cash register. It was all very confusing and I got up and left. On the way out, my friend said we ran out of time(that wasn’t true because we went across town to Calozzi’s instead) so I corrected him and told her that we are leaving because she didn’t serve us. No sushi, no service, no matter.
