There are so many local cleaners, there is just no cause to put up with this place. I went a few times because it was on my path to work, and next door to the grocery store. At first it was fine; a bit of a line once in awhile, but that might mean it’s better cleaning, right? Because maybe everyone wants to go there. Then when I needed something altered for my son, the young woman at the counter snapped, «No.» Not even«I’m sorry, we can’t do that.» They have altered things for my daughter – who is Asian – but my son, who’s African-American, gets the snot mouth. On top of all of it, they LOST my blouse that I wore to my daughter’s wedding reception. They played like I never took it there. Like I’d forget such a thing! The last two unpleasant events occurred right on top of each other, and that is when I went back to the little neighborhood place at 52nd and Genesee, QC Cleaners. What ever made me leave them? They politely accepted the custom job my son wanted done, and they did an awesome job. They’ve never been later than they say the job will take, they are unfailingly courteous, and they even help me out to my car(I walk with a cane). And you can be SURE they don’t lose our stuff! In short, don’t assume a newer sign and slicker storefront means they’re going to do a better job. But if you want to, hey, don’t let me stop you. I don’t need a crowd forming in front of MY favorite QC Cleaners.

Location, location, location! What can I say, being right next to a liquor store and Safeway is going to help your business. Add to that the very good quality of the cleaning and you should have a winner. BUT, they are by far the most expensive cleaners in south Seattle. I have lived in the area for over 20 years and have used most of the cleaners here, but none of them are priced this high. If price is no object, this is your cleaners.
