Didn’t actually visit the store because they were closed when I stopped by. Note to the owner: update the business hours listed on this Unilocal page. The store is not open on Wednesdays. I just drove twenty minutes for nothing.

I have been to this place three(3) different time. NEVEROPEN even when it says it’s is on there Unilocal Account or their Website. I even contacted them on Ebay. Heard from the once and emailed them again through Ebay again, but like usual NO reply. Then I was in the area and thought I would stop by again and they there is a sign on the door move but NO real address. What a waste of time and energy!

I’m always on the lookout for vintage clothing stores wherever I travel. You never know what great finds are lurking in another state or country. This past weekend we were in Seattle for a short visit with the Bf’s sister and she suggested going to Fremont for their Farmer’s market on Sunday. She parked a few streets away so we wound up walking to the Farmer’s market and along the way I spotted Vintage Wears and Consignment. It was calling my name so I told Jess that we must swing by on our way back to the car. The boutique was much smaller than I had anticipated but the hidden gems made up for it. I was struck by the bright colors and patterns of past decades. Most vintage clothing stores have patterns that are outdated or colors that are too neutral and earthy. I picked out a few things to try on, such as 3 patterned 70’s long skirts, a sheer botanical print dress from the 60’s, a gold brocade top and an Art Deco nightgown that could be worn as an evening piece or shorten as a tunic. Most of the pieces in the boutique are in great to like new condition. The prices are pretty reasonable when compared to the vintage prices in San Francisco. I ended up with 2 of the skirts(one in fuschia and the other in blue) and the gold brocade top. I would have purchased more if I wasn’t on a budget. The salesperson in the store was very friendly and knowledgeable. She wore a pair of Lanvin flat sandals in gold(The reason I knew was because my friend purchased a black pair at the BNY w/h sale). She did inform me that the owner buys for the store on a daily basis so I’m pretty sure they restock often. Although I didn’t see any designer brands, I am sure if I spent another good 30 mins in there I would have found some. Unfortunately for me, I had to fly home the next morning. It would have been dangerous if I had stayed longer and took another visit. I’m looking forward to more trips to Seattle and stopping by Vintage Wears and Consignment.
