This place is a tiny, tucked-away gem that I found while working in downtown Seattle one day! It’s a moderately quick place to grab some lunch during the week. There are only two people working and the kitchen is small, so sometimes the wait can be a little longer. All the food is cooked to order and you can watch your food get made behind the counter! Flavors were spot on whenever I went. Very fresh, good portion sizes and good prices!

Seriously the best, fastest, freshest, lunch break sushi spot in downtown Seattle. Customer service, quality, and price all on point.

Fresh fish reasonably priced with some good variety. Nothing special about this place other than good quality fish well prepared. Don’t expect exotic rolls or fancy presentation. This place is about fresh fish at good prices. I had the spicy salmon roll, spicy tuna roll, and one other that I now don’t recall. All very good. My only knock would be seating is very limited. Makes it a challenge during the lunch rush. Not much to do but take your food elsewhere at that point.

Nice quiet quick place for lunch. The food was fine and I liked it that they had complementary tea.

Wasn’t sure if I was feeling sushi or if I was feeling phở today — I forced myself to try Urban Sushi because I always get phở, and because Urban Sushi was featured in the Seattle Times lately! I’ll start with the cons, because there were very few: very small eating space. Of course I decided to stay in and eat, and there were quite a few open chairs in the place, but this dude decides to sit right next to me, awkwardly. Like… Can a girl enjoy her lunch? Second,(this is more my fault) it was a 25 minute wait. Smart people called in! I’m definitely doing that next time. I really wanted to try the beef ramen but I also wanted to try the sushi, but I was worried the sushi by itself wouldn’t be enough to fill me up… So I ended up kind of compromising and ordered the spicy tuna roll with some miso soup. I don’t know what it is — anything soupy/brothy, I have to have. Even on a hot day! I’m definitely glad that I got the miso over the ramen with my sushi, because man… Those are some BIG sushi rolls. It was only a five piece so I was expecting to still be a little hungry, but no. The sushi rolls filled me up really well. They were soooo good. They weren’t packed as well as some of the places I’ve been to, but it tasted so fresh and the spicy kick was just what I needed. The miso is really good too, because it’s not too salty. The husband and wife team who own this place are really, really nice. The wife is so adorable — and for the husband being the only one who’s making the sushi, he kicks ass. Anytime I have a sushi craving, I’ll definitely be going to Urban Sushi.

Great place for udon and sushi! Very authentic. I like their eel bowl(unagi don). The place is small so u probably won’t find a place to sit at the rush hour.

Had a couple of nigiri rolls and the beef ramen. While the rolls were not the best I’d ever had, they were quite good and very reasonably priced. The ramen was ridiculously cheap; a huge serving with lots of beef. It wasn’t terribly crowded when I came in this i was able to order and get my food in about 10 minutes. Will be back again soon!

Reviews held up; this place was amazing. I ordered the sushi and salad combo. The dressing they use on the salad was delicious. As for the nigiri, high quality! Also, the owners were extremely friendly. I definitely will be a frequent customer.

I stumbled across this place one day when I had a craving for sushi. The couple that runs it is very nice and sweet. Even during busy lunch times, I call in an order and when they say 10 – 15 mins, it’s usually ready before then. Their prices are extremely reasonable and the sushi that I have had there is very fresh and delicious. I come here at least once a week!

On my lunch break I decided to get a postmates delivery from this place due to the good reviews. The prices are very good so I will say that. But the sushi is disappointing and I don’t know how this place has so many stellar reviews. I ordered a Seattle roll, a tuna roll and some salmon sashimi. The sashimi was actually tasty and I did enjoy that part of the meal. But the other two rolls were just not that great.

This is my new LUNCH spot! After taking a sushi making class at Chiso, I’ve been particular about my sushi rice. The rice here is WARM but it’s well seasoned with rice vinegar and sugar. I am content! I ordered a chirashi and sashimi salad. The portions were LARGE enough that my boyfriend and I split the dish and we were both beyond stuffed. The sushi slices were decent sized(not as thick as Maneki or Wasabi). We also had two miso soups. Our bill totaled $ 31 bucks. That is NOT bad for downtown dining. The dining area is tiny, so I package my food to-go and eat at Starbucks with a nice tall glass of iced tea. The two employees/owners were a man and woman. The woman is adorable. I shall get her name next time(which means tomorrow) I dine here. Definitely coming back here as long as I work right down the street! They’re only open until 4PM and around the holiday season, ALWAYS call before you dine here — they were not open on Jan 2nd!

Solid lunch spot! Consistently yummy sushi and the staff are very pleasant. Right across The Westin, next to Starbucks — very convenient for business travelers. I’m addicted — every day that I’ve been in the vicinity I’ve either eaten in(a few tables and some counter space) or gotten it to go. The udon is not great, but it’s called Urban Sushi, not Urban Udon :)

Not so good. If you’re starving and desperate… then I would still go to one of the many other eateries in the area. Having said that, I could see how some people like its humble, quick, simple charm.

Every day I decide I want sushi, I’m so grateful that these guys are here! There aren’t very many good quick sushi options(or good sushi options, period) in the immediate couple blocks of my office. There’s that one place in Century Square but I vowed not to return when the pieces of Tuna were dry as hell. I’ve had several different rolls here but my favorite(as it is at a lot of sushi places) is the tekka don. The tuna is always really soft, fresh, and tasty. A husband and wife team runs it, and for just the husband making the sushi, he goes surprisingly quickly. During lunch time it gets really cozy in here, as the space only has room for one bar along a wall and two, two person tables against another. Luckily if you get a little claustrophobic you can step out in the covered lobby area that’s attached to Starbucks in this same building. In addition to sushi they have ramen, udon soup and salads; and I think I heard they open up early for breakfast! Great little spot, but it’s best to order to-go!

I have visited this place a couple of times as this is the closest sushi place around my residence, and so far I had spicy tuna, poki tuna, unagi, and shirump tempura roll. Tipical American Sushi, with reasonable price considering buying sushi at Wholefoods or order in from nearby sushi place. Not bad taste.

This is a great lunch spot if you work downtown and are needing a quick meal. I’ve been here four times over the last couple weeks and have been pleased with the taste, service and value. I’ve ordered the California and Philly rolls which were about $ 6 for 8 rolls. I’ve also ordered the bulgogi beef as well as the beef ramen which I thought were just OK. The ramen had the bulgogi beef in it so the flavor seemed off since I’m used to ramen broth being salty and the bulgogi meat made it sweet. The bulgogi don was alright and generously portioned, but nothing stellar. Last off, the place is just super cute. It’s a small space so you can see the whole kitchen which really just consists of a four-burner stove like you would see at home, a fridge, and counter space for making the rolls. I’m assuming it’s a husband and wife run business(I could be totally wrong) and they both seem so happy with this business. I really hope they succeed!

I went her for lunch today and am excited to be the first to review! #1 thing you need to know — it is hard to find. There is no outside sign for this place, you have to be looking for it. To find it, go into the door to the building to the left of the Starbucks. They said they are working on a sign — hopefully that will be up soon! For lunch, I got the sunrise roll and the ebi don rice bowl to go. The sunrise roll was FANTASTIC. Seriously — it was extremely good and I will definitely be getting it whenever i go back. I found the rice bowl to be very plain. It was sushi shrimp and rice. I asked for a side of their house sauce which made it a little more interesting, but it still seemed unexciting. I do not frequently eat rice bowls unless they involve teriyaki though, so it might just be my inexperience! Overall — I will definitely be back to this place for more sushi and I highly recommend you do too! A friend of mine also went for lunch today and she is raving about the Udon soup and also loved her sushi roll(california).
