Tobacco Patch in Pike Place Market is my Go-​To Spot for cigars in the Seattle area because they embody three key components to a successful cigar retailer:
1) Friendly and Extremely Knowledgeable Staff — These guys know what I want and don’t waste my time with their suggestions.
2) Selection, Selection, Selection — They have the top-​shelf tobacco I want (Padron, Fuente, OpusX, Oliva, etc.) and they have it consistently. If they don’t have it in that store, they can move it in from one of their other local stores. I can always find a gem here — latest was four tins of Fuente Furent OpusX 1992 Rare Estate Reserve… WOW!
3) Price — Tobacco Patch buys in bulk (3 – 4 stores) and they buy the best. This means that the best comes at a price I can afford. They also provide the traditional quantity discounts. Many will promote purchasing cigars online, but I believe in supporting your local economy before going online (it never hurts to ask for a price match either).
Tobacco Patch is tucked away near the Russian deli and is well worth navigating the tourists during the summer!
