Always enjoy watching a game here, kind of divey but that’s ok. Only wish the service was a little faster.

I come here often and today is the worst. The bartender had an attitude and gave me a dirty glass that had bits of food in it. When I went to go back for another glass, she ignored me and kept serving other people, so I asked another staff member for a glass. This person grabbed another glass for me and even looked inside the grimy, glass before handing it to me. Seriously??? Well, I tried again and another bartender did the same thung, trying to say it was just a mark from where the glasses are stacked. I asked her to put her finger in there and touch the specks. She then apologized because she didn’t want to touch the slime. 4 glasses later… i finaly got something clean!!! Am I wrong to think that if I pay for a $ 16 pitcher that I should have a clean glass?! Other nights however, there is a male bartender and he ALWAYS gets it right whether it’s pouring a beer, serving shots, ordering food or mixing a drink.

I absolutely love the majority of the staff here. A few of them I can’t stand. But the staff alone would get 4 stars(5 if it wasn’t for a couple terrible experiences). The 1 star is for a few specific reasons, a lot of which the staff have no control over(owners maybe): — The absolute worst part: it’s extremely clear that drug dealers use this place as their main spot in Wallingford, which means I cannot come here with certain friends recovering from narcotics abuse as their dealers are hovering. — Next up, the stench, not as bad in the winter, but always has a funk smell to it, whether it’s piss, sweat, dead mice in the corner(yes), you name it, there’s almost ALWAYS a stench. — They have a really big porch that they absolutely refuse to allow customers to smoke on. All while the employees are smoking directly on the opposite side of the rail. They’ll yell at you to not smoke on the porch, so you put your smoke out, walk to the other side, and are virtually 2 feet away from where you were just smoking. Doesn’t make sense to me. Even if their excuse was the law, their staff smokes within the 25 foot law. — There aren’t a lot of good pool tables in the area, so it’s cool & all that they are holding out and still have them. But the crowd it attracts is really gross. — Last thing: the Karaōke used to be amazing! Lots of very talented people would come every week and it was really awesome to experience. Now it’s pretty sparse, rarely a good singer, and the host is… well… not a good example. Basically — I’m not planning on ever coming here again unless I get word of a remodel or change of ownership(but not change of staff!!).

Not a bad spot to watch a game. Good amount of TVs playing different games/sports. Low key vibe with some cool bartenders. Seems to be a good spot during the week to lay low and watch a game solo, or sit in a booth with friends. Has a sort of divey feel, but not dirty. Also, has free popcorn, which is always a plus. Not the trendiest bar in Wallingford, but a decent spot to watch some sports and drink some beers without being over crowded

A divey bar full of diehard Chicago fans – came here to watch the Seahawks play and was surprised by all the Midwestern vibes(and signs. and banners). This is a great place to catch a game, though: tons of TVs, a projection screen, and pool tables/video games to keep you busy during halftime. There’s ample seating to bring your crew, although it does get packed for big games. They also have the requisite drink specials and bar food. You can get pitchers or pints of a decent selection of local craft beers as well as the usual domestic and import brews. One big plus: Unlike its counterparts downtown, plenty of free parking is available in the residential streets surrounding the Iron Bull. I’d for sure come back for a Sunday funday or some SNF.

The Iron Bull is definitely a dive bar, maybe a little dirty, but I love this place! Maybe I am a little biased, since I am originally from Chicago, but this is the«Chicago Bears Bar» every Sunday for football. I love my Chicago Bears & miss my Chicago comrades, so this is the closest I can get to being back home in Chitown. If you’re looking to watch a Seahawks game during the same time as a Bears game, forget about it, all of the main screens are for Da Bears. That being said, I have been here countless times during non game days as well. It’s your normal neighborhood bar. Beers/drinks are priced just right & if you have too many, you’ll find yourself playing Big Buck Hunter or playing some random person in pool. I’m warning you now, if you eat the popcorn provided there, you’ll end up eating at least a pounds worth. I know I do. Something about drinking beer and eating their popcorn is addicting. Anyways, if you find yourself in Wallingford, drop in and check out the Iron Bull! You may find me in the back drinking beer, eating popcorn and shooting some bucks!

These guys are a class act. Still a loud, loud place. It’s a bar! The food is excellent and the beer cold with fun wildish blow off steam behavior. Very positive interactions with staff. They are smart, savy and know how to listen to people as well as observe the group, Big ups!

Said they’d take cards for door cover, didn’t, had to go and try to get cash out of the ATM, couldn’t since I didn’t have my debit card, missed the event. Looked good from the outside though!

Loveable neighborhood sports/dive bar. The bartenders are all pretty nice and there is a ton of seating. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that its partaking in the horrible trend that is those arcade«show everyone how hard you can punch» games. I’m sitting there drinking and every two minutes I hear some aggressive bro hooting and punching that thing. Isn’t it kind of a standard in bars to discourage the need to fight and punch?

A dark divey pool hall/sports bar. This place has a very casual atmosphere and plenty of TV’s. It’s not a bad place to meet up before heading out elsewhere, or watching a game. We definitely enjoyed the pool, and on a Saturday night, had no problem getting a table. It’s probably the most fun here during a sports game.

I love this place! Great beers, casual atmosphere, and great beers. Not for those who want doilies under their drinks, but plenty of friendly staff and good vibes. I went on a Tuesday, so it was a little quiet, but they had some great karaōke and tons of TV screens. Just a great place to hang out.

Good sports bar, staff is friendly, lots of TVs and can play some pool. Food is okay, nothing to go home about. However, they do have a Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap on the menu and finding one of those in Seattle is hard. So, whenever I am craving one I come here! Also love to come on Sunday’s. Free Pool. And let me tell you, my pool game is immensely lacking and much need of free pool sundays!

I was honestly here for one drink meeting up with my husband’s softball team. The drinks were bizarrely weak. I felt like my quick rum & diet was missing the rum part of it. I don’t want a stiff one either, but I can’t imagine the fine balance being achieved here. I do enjoy the plethora of tv’s and would be willing to give it a try on a Sunday NFL Funday. The downside is that it is so pitch-black, yikes! If I’m going to spend hours watching the game, I at least appreciate looking at the beautiful day I am wasting away through windows. My first time in wasn’t appealing nor inviting, but in all fairness, I will have to come back a second time to see if my mind changes. I just don’t really know when I’m going to feel like going back there… sigh…the problems of life.

This place is terrible. Feels like it is ran by church girls who view you as a sinner if you have had more than one beer. The bartenders are not fun people and hence try to limit the fun of everyone who walks into their establishment. Avoid this place if at all possible.

Went here with a friend on a slow evening. Sat at the bar. Bartender was amicable. Drinks were reasonably priced. There are generally 8 guys for every 1 girl, if any. It is a sports bar though. Decided to go to the outside patio for a quick cigarette. Our beers were half-full. We placed our coasters on top of our glasses and walked out the side door to the patio(should have been obvious we weren’t done drinking, and we didn’t leave) Came back inside 5 minutes later to find our glasses taken, beer emptied out. Probably won’t come back again.

A friend of mine was on Jeopardy and she decided to have a viewing party when the show aired. This is where we ended up for the show. It was a nice place for what it is. So many tvs… like tvs everywhere. Also very dark. I didn’t try any of the food, but it looked good for bar food. I had whatever drink was on special that night. Something punch. It was tasty and really did pack a punch. The bartenders were friendly. They had pool, darts, and some video games to choose from. They also had skeeball. I love skeeball, but the drink special I was drinking didn’t allow me to play any. Again, it really packed a punch. If I’m ever in the area again I would definitely consider coming back.

My friend Monique was on Jeopardy! this last week, and got the hook up from her friend behind the bar of Iron Bull. We overtook the main booth seating area smack dab in front of the TV wall for the big viewing party. Some initial reactions: 1. Lord, on a sunny day walking into that place is like becoming one with a shadow. DARK. My eyes never did quite acclimate and I felt a bit out of sorts by the lack of light 2. Very short special drink menu(that i saw, there were only 3) But, man, the punch definitely packs a punch 4. Must be amazing fun to watch games here. We had a blast. All TVs were tuned to her episode, we cheered, we booed, we yelled out our answers not in the form of questions. When other patrons realized the lady in front of them was the lady on the screen – she even got a few free drinks and a couple autograph requests! Iron Bull took great care of us, with excellent service and ramping up the fun. Made it worth going all the way to Wallingford(her and I both live in Kirkland) to see all sorts of her friends from different circles in her life all come together en mass to root for her on the long-ago taped episode. Overall, I wouldn’t rule out Iron Bull for any kind of fun, and would visit on the regular if Wallingford was my ‘hood.

This is the bar in Wallingford with lots of space, big TVs, and games. They have four pool tables that are in good condition and some arcade machines and darts in the back. I’ve never been here during a sports event, but I have walked past this place when some have been going on and it gets pretty loud(must be when the Bears are playing). Food service takes a while even on slow nights, so don’t come hungry. I do like their drinks. Specials are posted by the bar and usually are a good deal. Come for the games if anything.

I like this place because it is a really chill place to go out when you want a beer but don’t want to put on high heels. Fair priced drinks, and free popcorn! 75-cent pool games, and the staff has been nice the few times I’ve gone… but I’ve never seen more than half a dozen people in the large venue… ever.(Last time I went was on a Saturday night around 11:30pm.) Not really sure why that is – it’s a little divey but not uncomfortable. Can’t say this is the first place I think of when I want to go party BUT hey you never have to wait for a pool table and you can always find a place to sit? Cup half full.
