My husband and I were lucky enough to stay at the Gatewood B&B several weeks ago for a romantic getaway. First of all wow – what a beautiful and meticulously maintained home. It feels like you’re in some secluded hideaway when you’re only minutes away from downtown West Seattle and a ton of great restaurants and bars! We stayed in the Harper Room, and couldn’t have been happier with the amazingly plush king bed, and luxurious bathroom. Sarah and Helena were both wonderful, making it easy for us to arrive late in the evening, putting together a delicious breakfast and reccommending several places to eat in.
I highly recommend the Gatewood to anyone visiting West Seattle, looking for a relaxing, non-​generic hotel stay with excellent service.
Thank you Sarah & Helena, we’ll definitely be back!

An absolute gem in West Seattle. Having lived in West Seattle for 20 years and returning for a business trip, I was thrilled to find this property in my ‘backyard’. The property is secluded and picturesque. I stayed in the Clark room — so comfy, relaxing, and perfect. Sarah (the innkeeper) was delightful, charming and very personable. Breakfast was hot and delicious. I immediately cancelled my hotel reservations for my next business trip and booked here at the bed an breakfast! Can’t wait to return!
