The quality of Coach products decreased when the business was purchased by Sara Lee(yes, the makers of cakes) which then closed down the New York factories and outsourced all the production where it could be made for less. Quality no longer was the mission. Sara Lee’s goal was to decrease production costs and maximize profits. I’ve found the staff to be friendly but not knowledgable. You can find better made products for less money if you are willing to sacrifice having the Coach brand emblazoned on your products.

I’ve shopped the Coach brand for years, but I officially quit this brand. The salespeople are nice but the customer service policy is dissappointing at best. It appears like most other companies in this economy, the bottom line supercedes everything. Thing is, a luxury goods company and a store with a limited selection has no business not accomodating a consumer. The only thing that I can do is never shop there — which is actually OK. The bags may be well-made & come with a lifetime guarantee but they’re only perfect for work b/c they’re so fricking boring. And when they try to be edgy, they end up looking like they’re trying too hard or just plain ugly(think coach sneaker… not classy, but class-less). And for the prices they charge for a few of the decent higher end bags, I’d much rather spend a little more and get a true designer handbag. The only reason I don’t give this place one star is because they do on the rare occasion come out with a nice bag and as stated earlier, they are well-made. Oh, and the key-rings are cute.

I was disgusted with the customer service and the ignorant sales staff. First of all, the staff was useless and rude. The women there seemed to be bored and acted like the wanted to hurry you out the door. Then, when checking out I was asked if I wanted to add a matching wallet. When I said no, she practically tried to push it on me. Once she figured out I wasn’t going to, she was rude the rest of the time and shoved my bag at me without a ‘Thank You’ or ‘Good Bye’. I’ve shopped at the Coach stores in Bellevue Square and Pacific Place for years and the staff have always been nothing short of nice and helpful. I would never recommend the Downtown location to anyone. They are horroble.

Wow, the jewelry here is beautiful. Yes, the staff was nice. My best friend’s mom likes shopping at the store. I suggest you purchase a necklace today. It’s really worth showing it off.

I’m Korean. Therefore, I shop at Coach. It’s practically a requirement to be a card-carrying member of the Korean race. I decided to take advantage of my handy dandy 25% off coupon, which expires in a week. The store was packed! With Asians of course, who also had the same coupon I had. I swear, the only white people in there were the sales clerks. I wasn’t a fan of their new summer collection or patterns, so I opted to go basic: to replace my aging black leather purse that was SO five seasons ago. I walked out with a brand new black handbag, movie-star sunglasses(if I lose these, I WILL slit my wrists), and a cell phone lanyard. With my coupon and sales tax exemption, I ended up spending less than $ 400. Not bad, for all the stuff I got.

I generally like this store and it’s a great place to get that female friend of yours a gift for which they could never EVER thank you enough, but it seems that lately, service has become less of a classy experience and more of one that seems to be fueled by commission. The last time I went there to get one of my best friend’s a wristlet, and the girl that was«helping» me was really pushy about me also buying a matching key chain to attach on the outside of the box because«it will be SOOooo cuuUTE… and you’ll be a terrible person for not getting it.» Well she didn’t exactly say that, but she had that tone of voice… Although, conscientious people that we are should understand Christmas time is a bad time to shop anywhere.

In a fit of insanity I decided I had to impress my mother with a superb Christmas gift a few years back. A Coach leather purse would do it. Of course, I couldn’t afford presents for anyone else after I bought it, and the place did not have the classy atmosphere I would have expected and my mother said I shouldn’t have. She was right.

They’ve managed to update their styles, and the leather & craftsmanship is superb, but the store isn’t great. It’s surprising that this store wasn’t updated when the UVillage store went in.

I love coach, always have, probably always will. It’s a definitive step for women’s fashion especially when leather is involved. Of course, while there is a few locations in the US, every single one is different, because of the select merchandise they carry. The seattle location is small, unkempt, and rather dull in it’s selection. I was really annoyed when I visited here with a female friend of mine who wanted a very original purse. Order from the catalogue or online, don’t waste your time at this store. The only reason it’s three stars, is because it’s STILL coach.
