The situation has become so bad I now have to record video & audio with me when I leave my Apt for my safety. If you think your smart — think again. and again…

I really wish I could give a negative 3 or 4 for this place, but if a 1 is as low as I can go I’ll have to settle on that. This is a 55+ community. The building itself is actually quite nice with several community rooms and activities. You need to get special access to be able to get into the building so if you, like me, want to put your parents in a safe, nice looking place you would probably consider it. I wish you save you from the pain, lies, insults and straight up theft that my family has endured. I won’t mention all of the drama and I will try not to ramble too much, but it is important for the public to know. –Our first huge kick in the face was when we went to re-sign the lease and there was a charge for parking and storage. When we first moved in the building was only at half capacity and they were desperate to get people in there. We are promised a free parking and storage space. It was a perk we were being offered to get us to move in. I literally asked several times… are you sure? Yes, we need to get the building at 80% capacity by this time so this is something we are offering new tenants along with one month free rent. I should have made Richard sign something. Maybe he even did, but when the time came to re-sign the lease… there was no longer a promise of this and a $ 75 was tacked onto our monthly bill. –Let’s also not forget that we were promised that the garbage disposals for the units were never installed properly and we were promised that would be fixed immediately. We even offered to pay to have one installed. We were met with conflicting reports and opinions and again unreturned phone calls and emails. — This is a 55+ community with hundreds of units and yet there are only 2 free handicap parking places. You would need to research the law on this, but I’m pretty sure that handicapped parking needs to be provided for free for those who need it. We spoke with several disabled rights organziations who agreed with us, but were met with unreturned phone calls, indignance, attitude and a general lack of response for our concerns. –So the most recent offense is so offensive… so under-handed, hurtful and frustrating… I don’t even know how to react. So my mother has crippling RA. She’s been in and out of hospitals for years. Operation after operation. It has been a constant battle with medicare, medicaid, incompetent doctors, doctors like Dr Tsu who treat my mother like garbage so she’ll leave because she doesn’t want to help medicaid patients… so anyway… we recently had to put her in a rehabilitation center until we could a) figure out what to do with her b) wait to see if Medicaid was going to mess with us again. Anyway, I visit her apartment Tuesday night to grab some of her things and grab her Azathioprene because they always seem to give her the wrong dose in these places. I saw her pain meds there and thought, I will throw a few in the Az. jar for her since they never give her meds on time in rehab/nursing home types of places. So on Wednesday, the maintenance guy Kurt calls her to ask what she wants done with this garage door opener(her nurse had dropped it off a week or so before knowing she would be gone. Remember, this is the ONLY access the nurse had to her apartment — no keys). My mom says ‘my daughter can come pick it up because I will be gone for a little while. who knows how long” Kurt says«don’t worry about it, we’ll take care of it»(take care of it they did!) So Friday comes around, my mom needs a few more things. I enter her apartment around 12.30pm. I grab her curling iron, tums… and wait what? Where are her meds? They are gone. They are all gone. Me, my mom and Blakely are the only ones with keys. The house was not broken into. Someone with a key entered the apartment. I’m sorry Kurt, but it is not a coincidence is it? So I go to speak with the«assistant manager» named Ashely who frankly has no right to be working in Customer Service at all. I suppose this is probably the only job she could get, because people under 65 would understand her insulting sarcasm. She handles issues like a scorned high school cheerleader. Utterly unprofessional, rude, right-fighting, defensive, condescending and really I would hope that after she loses her job for her behaviour or being caught for being part of the theft ring — that no one will ever hire her again. My concerns have been met with indifference, rolling eyes, me and my family have been accused of lying(again the UBER professional Ashley). I’ve been hung up on. I’ve been«transferred» only to never be gotten back to, I’ve been told that I am the unreasonable one WHENSOMEONEINTHEBLAKELYESTABLISHMENTILLEGALLYENTEREDMYMOTHERSAPARTMENTSTOLEHERMEDICATIONANDRINGS and I am just trying to find some answers. Maybe just an apology? Maybe an investigation? Not even corporate will call me back. Do not put your loved ones here! If so, make sure they have a nanny cam and lock box!
