I used to go to Katie and decided to take a chance on the new owner. He was super friendly and gave me a great haircut. I also don’t think the store times are up to date on here as he seems to be open until 6 most days. I was apprehensive but I would definitely recommend this shop and come back again. Also, it’s cash only so hit the ATM before stopping by!

OK barbershop and it’s a good value at the price. The space is hectic and crowdy with non-​barber related stuff. I’m not a big small-​talk person and the 20 minutes was filled with expositions on Katie’s current thoughts and life experiences, which, while not offensive, wasn’t my ideal experience. She did squeeze me in at the last minute on a week night, which was great.

I have been going to see Katie at the Baseball Barber Shop since She first opened on Aurora Ave N over 12 years ago. Katie does a great job cutting your hair the way you like it. She is always aware of the latest trends, and doesn’t hesitate to recommend something new. I highly recommend Katie and the Baseball Barber Shop! Make an appointment!

I agree with everything said by David C. Katie is great. Less than $ 20 is very reasonable for a great cut. I’ve been to the other guys in Wallingford, and for $ 25 I’ve always left feeling like it was a mediocre experience. My wife told me that she gave me the best cut I’ve had in years – which is the ONLY reason why I bother to groom myself anyway: For the wife.
Plus, the atomsphere is fantastic – relaxed, cute, no-​nonsense. I agree that you should call ahead though.

I have been going to the Baseball Barber Shop for 7 years now. Katie is the best! She is a perfectionist and is alway very friendly. I have recommended her to many of my friends and all of them have now become regulars. I wouldn’t even think about going anywhere else!

Katie was flexible with scheduling, friendly and gave an awesome trim! I left with exactly what I wanted and it was very easy to communicate my preferences. Quality cut from a pro. I will definitely return!
The only downside is that pricing is more in line with competition instead of being a true bargain. $ 19.95 for a men’s cut and she recently stopped doing the free cut punch card for frequent customers. 5 stars if the price stood out more from the competition…

Little hole in the wall barber shop run by very nice woman, Katie. For $ 18 she actually took the time to try to figure out the best way to cut my hair, which is tough to do because it is very thick. She took notes on my punch card so she could compare how she cut my hair with what it looks like when I come back! Never had anyone seem to care as much about how my hair looked. My girlfriend loved the cut, and insists that I go back to her from now on. Not much else you could ask for, I don’t think.
Her sweet dog greeted me when I came in, then promptly plopped right back down on his bed. Also forgave her the Yankees stuff on the wall since most of the baseball memorabilia is donated… I think I’ll bring her a Red Sox poster when I come back.

What’s not to like about this functional unpretentious barber shop? The proprietor Katie Hansen, has been here for several years, and offers a quick, competent, cheap (or what passes for that nowadays) haircut. She’s open until 4:00 PM on Saturdays for the benefit of those of us who work outside Wallingford during weekdays, and she can usually squeeze in customers on short notice. What can I say? It’s where I get my hair cut…

I love getting my hair cut here. I work in EMS, so I need to get frequent haircuts to stay presentable. For the longest time, finding a barber shop that can do a decent cut for a decent price has been a challenge.
My search is over.
I can usually get in and get out quickly, parking is never an issue and the price is reasonable.
Guys, if you need a simple cut, this is the spot. Make sure you get the «free haircut» punch card, too.
