Came here with a group of five because it was one of the only restaurants in the area where a group that size could be seated immediately during dinner rush. We ordered the pad see iew, pad kee mao, red curry, swimming rama, and calamari. The food was generally not bad though the broccoli in the pad see iew was really undercooked. Also have never seen a restaurant cut up and include the broccoli stalks in the dish like that. The main problem was the waitstaff. From when we sat down we felt rushed. We were interrupted while ordering by the waitress telling us to return menus to her. We were also interrupted mid meal to hand over the paper chopstick wrappers. She also came by multiple times asking to take the plates away even though there was plenty of food remaining on the table and we were not finished. I might have understood this kind of service if it was nearing closing time, if they were really busy, or if we had just been occupying the table for a long time, but none of these were the case. I would only return for take out, but you can find thai food for cheaper near by, so probably not even for that.

I’m a local so I’ve been frequenting Thai Ginger in Madison Park for the past two years. I was a big fan, that is until recently. The other day we used the Eat24 app to order takeout, but when I arrived to pick up my order, I was rudely told that my order was not there. They said that their system isn’t working. Thankfully I live close and went home to tell my wife(who placed the order). However the app said that the order was confirmed. I proceeded to call Thai Ginger, when they said they couldn’t hear me and hung up on me. Once again, I went back to the restaurant and told them that their phone isn’t working. At this point they proceeded to say that their phone works fine. I told them that my order was confirmed online, so they gave me a bag that said was ordered through Eat24. Unfortunately when I got back home, it wasn’t my order. So once again, I went back and told them that they gave me the wrong order, when I noticed that my order was sitting there now on the take out table. I picked it up and said that the order was mine. The woman who had already been rude to me twice, picks up the phone and waves me off out the door, perhaps to not hear me complain to her face. I picked up my correct order and left. I gave two stars because they used to be amazing. But now this same woman has been absolutely terrible. Thai Ginger has seriously dropped to the bottom of my local eateries when I need something close by.

This is the worst Thai food I’ve ever had and the service was the same. I get tom kha soup almost every time I got for Thai and this was unlike any I have ever had. It looked like milk with mushrooms floating In it with some tasteless rubbery chicken. It was horrible. The red curry was okay except for the same rubbery chicken and they charge extra for rice! The waitress came to the table with a scowl on her face and never came to check on the table after the food was served. I’m new to Madison Park but I’ll make the drive to Capitol Hill when I want good Thai.

My go-to take out. Everyone here is friendly and the food is always delicious! You must start your meal with an order of the mini egg rolls — they’re amazing! All the curries are delicious and noodle dishes are great! I also love that they offer sticky rice — goes great with curry! Considering I order from here a few times a month, it’s easy to give it a 5 star rating. Consistently great!

We experienced Thai Ginger for the first time, and really did not have a positive experience. First of all, my companion & I ordered the barbecue beef & pork and both dishes were very dry, over cooked & without flavor. In additional, we ordered our food as take out, and the service was extremely slow. It really was very disappointing. We’re new to the area & are looking for a good Thai restaurant. Unfortunately Thai Ginger is not it. We won’t go back again.

When I’m in the area it’s an easy place to stop by for crab fried rice, fried spring rolls and pad se ew for my wife. For my preference its nothing to special really. Its the convenience and friendliness that keeps me coming back.

I work in the neighborhood, and Thai Ginger has been a solid lunch option over the past few years. The pad thai lunch special was never amazing, but it was always decent. Over this past year, the quality has gone down. The food is greasy, and I’ve had a few stomach aches after eating my meal. However, everything changed today, when my coworker found a large BUG in her pad thai. It was whole, legs and all, sitting in between the noodles. I will never have lunch here again!

Service was sub par. Waitress was apathetic and not helpful. Food was OK, but was told that the seafood is not fresh, it is all frozen. For the price of food, it should be fresh. Overpriced! Charged extra for rice with yellow curry. That’s absurd. Was not noted that rice was extra. I tried to explain that curry comes with rice and the waitress just keep smiling and telling me it was an extra charge. Also, charged $ 3 for a side of peanut sauce. Will not be back. Much better Thai places or other restaurants to choose from in Madison Park.

Three stars for the food, minors five stars for the service!!! Could never imagine step in that place again!!! A friend is visiting from out of the country and we decided to tried it out for dinner on a Wednesday night. It was just over 5pm, and the place was almost empty with only one table occupied besides us. We didn’t think much and started to study their menu while chatting — As a couple first timers, we would like to know what do they offer before we order! However, the waitresses clearly shown their impatience by taking turns to our table and urging us to order! After seeing three waitresses in less then 5 mins, we decided to just order even though none of us had finished the menu yet! The food arrived quick, although mine came earlier then my friend’s, the taste is okay although the price is on the high end. No drama during the whole meal, but these attentive waitresses never shown up once to check for our food or water. What made my jaw dropped was toward the end of our dinner, I finished my plate, and my friend was still working on the last pieces of his, his hand was still holding the fork while a waitress just stepped in and took everything out of the table!!! Can you imagine how embarrassed I felt and tried to explained to him it’s NOT the way American restaurants treat people!!! Worst experience ever! Avoid it if you can!

This was shockingly bad Thai food, by far the worst we have ever had. Shrimp satay had ok shrimps but the satay sauce tasted like watered down peanut butter. The beef salad had shreds of meat atop a very wet pile of iceberg and red onion. Ginger scallops consisted of four small heavily breaded scallops along with a pile of sweet potato and carrots and broccoli heavily breaded and fried, but soggy. Pad Thai was discus tingly sweet and inedible. We love Thai food, but this was abominable.

I used to come to this great Thai restaurant a lot! I finally had a time to come back there after quite a bit of time and was very disappointed. I think there has been a change of ownership or some sort of change on management. The price is much higher which I understand considering food cost went up in last few years but the portion and taste is not how it used to be. Considering how much they charge for a very small amount of food, it is definitely not worth the money. I will never come back here again.

For Thai food it is fine. Once in a while I’ll have a craving for spicy eggplant, but honestly, as a white girl, I make better spicy eggplant at home it just takes me longer to make than to walk over to Thai Ginger, sit down, and eat. Also they seem kind of pricey for what you’re getting.

Food was fine, though incredibly overpriced. Shrimp in my curry were not de-tailed, which is absurd. Rice was not included in the already high cost of curry, which is unacceptable. Placing to-go order over the phone was a painful process.

Seriously a big disappointment! Tried the Tom Kha. Tasted like it was based in sweetened condensed milk. The beef salad limp & bland. Red curry bleak. Can do better on my own with a can of coconut milk and red curry paste from the grocery store & that’s sad. We sadly dumped it all in the garbage and made our own dinner. I’ve never had worse to be honest. $ 40.00 for a crap meal basically. Don’t waste your time or money.

OK I have been to another Thai Ginger downtown inside Pacific Place, but this one is different. My experience was as follows: Arrived early in the evening last night with my partner. Street parking was easy to find and free. They were not busy at all. The place was clean and the staff was attentive. We sat down in the window and the view was nice; basically Madison Park and you can see the water through among the cars, trees and buildings. We had the fresh roll to start. Shrimp, basil, mint with veggies in a cold sticky rice wrap and a «dip.» I think the peanut sauce would have been better than the hoisin sauce dip they gave us, but so far so good. Then my partner ordered the pad see ew(soy sauce fried with wide noodle) with chicken and I had the phad thai with chicken. He loved his and ate it all up. I thought mine was just average. In fact, I probably won’t get it that way again because the chicken was weird; some pieces were tender and moist, others had texture like they were boiled, cooled and re-heated. I would probably get shrimp or tofu next time. The portions were large and the price was low, for Madison Park certainly low. I also had the thai iced tea and it had much to much ice in it but tasted great. I will be back and will update review if needed. Recommended? Yes.

The #1 Restraunt in Madison Park. Thai Ginger may have a few locations but this is my favorite. The menu offers all kinds of explosive tasty treats the Thai Gods can offer. Let me state I’ve never had a bad meal in over 10 years! Try these dish’s: BBQ meat plates(pork) Beef salad(to die for) Cashew Chicken Swimming Rama The rest is up to your taste buds but I would say stay away from garlic prawn dish. More broccoli than shrimp, so not a fan. Thai before you buy or just stop by and enjoy.

This is my buddy’s favorite place to eat. So as soon as he got back from college for the summer, a bunch of rowdy guys mobbed over here. Service is excellent and the food is delicious. They did do a weird thing where they asked us how spicy, but when they brought it out, they just told us to add our own amounts.

A kinda manic guy — never figured out whether he was a host or a waiter — accosted us as we came in, trying way too hard. HaHaHa. In our faces. I was really glad when he disappeared. :~] Food servings were generous, food was good, but not special. Prices made me expect a bit more pizzazz, a little artistry or something. I really liked looking at the brazier that was burning outside the large window at night. Kinda made for a nice effect.

Meh. I’ve experienced better pretty much sums this place up for me. I lived walking distance so when a quick take out dinner is needed this is an easy to grab dinner. However, I’ve had better quality Thai food and for much better prices. for $ 20 I got one order of panang prawn curry and rice. That’s pretty steep consider it was 1 entrée and rice. Will I go back here? Because of the convenience, Probably. Is it my first Thai choice? Absolutely not.
