Surface Theory

After months of preparation we’ve finally installed our reclaimed heart pine floors sold to us by Ross at Surface Theory. My wife and I are absolutely pleased with the results. /Users/ZeroExpectations/Desktop/Floors/IMG_6582.jpg

We were looking for an event space for a small cocktail party and dinner party that was not «cookie cutter» and Surface Theory totally fit the bill. They made it a breeze to host an event and the space and artwork were the perfect backdrop. Such a cool spot, highly recommend them!

Really cool space with lots of intriguing art work and samples. Ross was super easy to speak with and led me through some of the possible flooring options for my retail space. Some of the wood floors he showed me were beautiful. I just need to pick which one I want now.

Had an great experience with Surface theory. Being a designer in Seattle it’s great to see a small business really support the design community in Seattle. The owner is a really nice guy and fun to work with.

I had the pleasure of hosting an event at this amazing venue. See — not only are they a flooring shop with AMAZING products, custom finishes, and a true artist’s hands-​on approach… they also rent out their space for parties.
And what can I say? Our party was fantastic. Ross was amazingly helpful and easy to work with. The location is gorgeous, with a built-​in bar, balcony, wheelchair accessible restroom, and is on the ground floor so you can set up a nice little velvet-​rope situation. There is a lot of stunning furniture that can be used, and there’s often an art show of local artists if you want some atmosphere or to mix and match with your own (which we did.) In fact, the wood flooring products they offer are actually part of the space’s décor, and you can see how a whole building full of them would be amazing. Their level of custom finish is so high they don’t even have normal product samples. They turn their product samples into works of art.
So… quality of products: CHECK! Quality of customer service and staff: CHECK! Quality of space: CHECK! This versatile business is a gem, and I hope to work with them more in the future.
