Great park. They have a nice picnic table at the top. I’ve gotten coffee or a sandwich at nearby shops and plopped myself down to eat and read a book a few times. The garden is well maintained by is users, both skaters and gardeners alike. There are homeless people that sleep here at night, probably trying to get away from the noisy street, so who can blame them.

Great park for reading a book or relaxing. It’s not really a park for spending a ton of time in but it’s just fantastic to see neighbors participate in a community garden and grow flowers, fruit, veggies, etc. It’s a small park, but it’s certainly cute and lovely to walk past. There are some nearby coffee shops and restaurants and you could grab food/drink and picnic here.

Summit Slope Park is good urban planning. It combines a P-Patch public garden and a mini-park and sits near a busy Starbucks and a handful of busy bus lines. It’s refreshing to walk through in summer when those gardens are bursting with vegetables and colorful plants. It’s only a 3 star park because of the poor concrete-to-grass ratio.

For a tiny little park located behind the Olive Way Starbucks, this place has a lot going for it. It is equal parts skate park, community garden, walking path, and local hangout with benches and walkways scattered throughout. It can also be an ideal place for a neighborhood BBQ or just a cool spot to lay out and read a book. I wouldn’t call this a destination spot by any means, but for locals, it adds just the right touch of greenery next to one of the Seattle’s corporate icons.
