«Interesting» experience at this Starbucks location today… So my friend and I decide to grab the seasonal Cranberry Bliss bar as a little treat and have a cup of java to go with it. Although this is a pretty busy location, there are MANY busy locations in this juggernaut of a coffee chain. I place an order for drip coffee(Pike), a Cranberry Bliss bar, and a cup of water. Not a complex order by any stretch… So the gal tasked with the«difficult» job of pouring drip coffee into a cup, forgot that I ordered a tall and not a venti size cup… Next we have to wait 6 minutes for them to put piece of a Cranberry Bliss bar into a paper sack,(as if some special preparation were required)… The hilarious thing is the size of the bar was about half of the ones on display, as if one of the employees cut the normal size portion in half so they could snack on it while giving us the other half — when I asked about the smaller size than the few on display, one gal explained that they are all«pre-cut»… A comical ‘bait and switch’ tactic apparently. Here’s the real«bonus» though… After waiting a total of almost 8 minutes and still no water, I went back to the counter to tell the same gal that we never got our water, and instead of trying to nicely take care of this, she cops a snotty attitude and grumbles that their«…drive through is really busy…»(With 10 employees working in the store!), while sloppily performing the«difficult» task of pouring water into a plastic cup then shoving it at me as if I inconvenienced her. Funny, I thought that was part of the job description.(Probably the same people that want to raise minimum wage to $ 15/hr!) To add further insult, I left a tip before experiencing this«great» service from these Starbucks’ employees… If anything I should have received a tip for putting up with such a crappy attitude. As far as I’m concerned, this is «Strike 2» for Starbucks(first was food poisoning from a cold sandwich at their location on Fremont last year). One more and and the gold card goes in the trash permanently… I’d say do business with the MANY great independent coffee houses because their coffee actually tastes better anyway(versus ‘Charbucks’ burnt blend) actually take pride in their work, and want their customers to have a positive experience for doing business with them…

I go to starbucks everyday. In the morning and after work. A friend of mine and I go to this one, because it is close to her house. There is not aday that goes by that our drink is either cold. Or isn’t made right, honestly I think that these people need to be retrained. Althought there is one and only one who does make it right everytime. If he is working we alway request for him to make it.

Possibly my most«interesting» interaction with a Starbucks partner. Our conversation started off normal, the girl running the register seemed like your typical barista you always see in Starbucks. She asked me for my name and then with a snark on her face and in her voice she asked me «Is that T-E or T-H?» Her body language and tone of voice really had me taken back; it was borderline aggressive. I answered her question and sat down near the bar. At no time did she offer me a receipt, which I wanted, but based on her attitude I decided it wasn’t worth asking for. After receiving my drink I sat back down near the bar to get my relaxation on. My iced tea was alright. Not quite sure what they did differently, but it wasn’t the same taste I experience at other Starbucks. I had had my fill of Starbucks time after about an hour and was ready to depart when another customer went up to the bar to ask where his drink was. The woman who had served me at the register gave him the same snarky tone and body language when she informed him that she had called it out«2 or 3 times» and he failed to pick up his drink. I had been sitting there the entire time and her statement was absolutely a lie. She called that drink out a grand total of 0 times… and then proceeded to blame the customer when he simply inquired about where his $ 5 latte was. Wow! Definitely the worst Starbucks experience I’ve had, hands down.

Hospitality workers should be courteous and not dismissive. 5 $ coffees require good courteous service. Respect your customers and your craft.

No one greeted us. They made one of us the wrong drink. Cashier barely even talked to us. I am simply astounded that a location so close to HQ would have people so clearly unhappy to work here. Out of 5 people behind the counter, not one of them seemed to enjoy their job. Very disappointing experience.

Great service, very short and sweet transaction. Coffee tasted great and I was out of there in less than 3 minutes total.

I do like Starbucks but it’s not the first time happen to me so I decide to write a review and hope they know about their problem. I usually order a Venti no whipped hot Mocha two or three times in a week. The same problem always happen with this location. I’m paying almost $ 5 for a drink and you fill up my cup only up to 70%??? Next time I should really check my drink before I leave this location. I was in a rush to work so I did’t check my drink :(… so bad I should from now on.

Ironic that across the street from headquarters they have hired the worst crew of any of these places. If you can’t handle talking with people go dig ditches or work making pottery.

Free parking and close to downtown! I am a coffee shop regular, but don’t drink coffee — go figure! But I do drink tea so that is my goto drink at any coffee shop. I do like Starbucks because they have quality green tea, both hot and iced and you can get it in all locations — makes easy ordering for me. So how to I rate a coffee shop? Location, parking availability, quality of staff and ability to work in the store. In this case, the location was very convenient — I could stop for an hour before my appointment downtown and get some work done. The free parking is always nice. Staff was friendly. While they have adequate seating, it was not easy to find a spot near an electrical outlet and the noise level was a little too high for my taste. All in all, a good place to stop for tea and work.

I frequent this Starbucks drive through. The staff are always quick and friendly. The inside(bathrooms too) are cleanly. They also have a small parking lot for customers.

I pulled up to the window excited for my coffee and oatmeal and to my dismay I found I had left my wallet at the office. I was pulling away when the manager called out and handed me coffee and oatmeal and said«It’s on us!» I felt embarrassed enough by my mistake that I insisted they give it to someone who needed it, I took it anyway! When you think of Starbuck’s it’s easy to lump them in with large companies that take more than they give and that’s unfair in my judgement This location has some soul! Go there and let them know you appreciate them if you’re a regular

Work next door to this Starbucks! I always know they will have my drink ready quickly, because they are always well staffed. All employees are friendly and efficient.

Came here after being completely disappointed with the seating selection of the HQ location. Glad I did. Despite being the Starbucks where anyone and everyone who works in SODO gets their coffee, there was seating available. Despite the long lines, it went quickly. There was a nice selection of extras to entice you in line, and friendly baristas to fashion your caffeinated fancies. I’ll be back whenever I need to have a little coffee chat time again.

Not all starbucks are the same! this is one of my favorites mainly because of the convenience to my work and excellent service. despite the typical long lines in the mornings, the drive through has always been tolerable, and the baristas always greet you with a smile at the pick-up window(makes me feel good about buying an overpriced cup of peppermint mocha). don’t know how they do it, but the they’re definitely keeping up with the crazy early birds like me :) thanks starbucks for helping me kick the day off right!

I like this Starbucks because of the fact that I can usually find a seat here and it’s not super over crowded. I generally get a quad-shot espresso which is hard to mess up but I really wish they had a better variety… The blonde roast us what basically saved them from a 3 star review to a 4 star review. My office is right across the way so it’s not to tough to make my way over several times a week.

Huge nice Starbucks located in SoDo Seattle right next to zulily HQ. Lots of couches and space to do work on, and great selection of pastries and whatnot. Seems to be pretty packed at all times though!

i got a tall salted caramel hot chocolate. it tasted pretty good. lots of sugar. hot. and i sucked the entire thing down in about 30min. we went in there to have a meeting. it was louder in there than we expected, so we went out to the chairs and tables on the patio area right outside the main entrace. where it was quieter for the type of noise that was inside the store, it was definitely louder for cars, motorcycles, trucks, big trucks, really big trucks, planes, and jets. some of the transportation noise completely drowned out what people were saying at some points. and the chairs and tables were covered with a lot of dirt and bird poop.

Sure, it’s a Starbucks, but being located across the street from Starbucks’ HQ, this one is a little bit special. I noticed that the snack selection was quite big and even more tempting than usual. With free WIFI and lots of space to sit, drink, work, or host a meeting, this is a better Starbucks that most you’ll see. Still not my favorite coffee in Seattle but it’s a convenient and reasonable option for anyone.

Parking is very limited. Good enough ambiance, but WiFi really is worse than poor here. Hard to get any work done — always getting dropped or stalled. (This MacBook has no problem anywhere else…) Coffee is fine.

I need my Grande, No Whip, CAS. Yes I order by code, and this location gives me the thumbs up, they are quick and fast, every time I come here, it’s only a smile and there always seems to be parking. Even during game days, because they only allow customer parking. There isn’t much else to say, if you need coffee, with great service, then here you go.
