Skyway Maytag Laundromat

Decent laundromat. Good amount of washers and dryers. Clean and well lit. The machines are a little old, but they do the job. #12 dryer makes a sound but its drying fine. Every time I have come here, it always usually has a lot of machines open. The wash time is 38 minutes. Longer than what I normally get when I am in white center, which has shorter wash times. (About 22 minutes from what I remember). So if you’re pressed for time, plan accordingly. The wash itself was okay. I think the machine doesn’t use enough water to distribute the detergent evenly. And I like hearing the clothes SLOP sounding. I know that’s not a word, but you know what I mean. I didn’t over stuff it either. There was lots of space left. Just didn’t saturate all my laundry…
They do have a dollar exchanger towards the very back to the right.
I don’t see any restrooms.
There’s also a detergent and softener dispenser, $ 1 each.
Overall, its a good place to wash your clothes. Just a little too run down for me. I prefer faster wash times though that give me more water. I will come again just to wash if I really need to.

First off… this laundromat is clean and in good repair! That is huge compared to the laundromats on Rainier Ave near my apartment. They also have a vending machine in case you run out or forgot laundry soap or softener. They charge a quarter more per load than the other places but that’s fine because I don’t feel like I’m sitting in a skeezy bus stop or a dungeon.
They also open at 5:30 which is outstanding because I’m an early bird. Sure it’s a few miles out of the way but worth it when I can knock my laundry out early on a Saturday morning and still have all day to do… stuff. Like go to Fred Meyer or Wal-​Mart since I’m close by.
There’s plenty of parking, which the places by me don’t have, and the parking lot and street aren’t covered in trash. Well, there’s a little. But not ghettofied like my hood.
I will definitely be back! Hell, I prefer this to the laundry room in my apartment complex! Mainly because I don’t have to cross a courtyard with dog poop land mines to get here!

Same as others have said — Love the hours! Opens early in the morning and stays open til late. Easy parking right out front and close to the bus stop. The owners are wonderful people. Would love to see some new comfortable chairs added for when there are several people waiting, but it’s not bad. Place is kept clean and the machines are always clean. Always feel safe coming here too. Thanks.

We come here every week for the past 6 years, it can be inproved by getting more bigger machines especially dryers. The small ones sometimes just ain’t enough, need more bigger ones. The owners are fantastic, the hours are great, opens real early and stays open late, its always clean as the owner is there cleaning it a few times a day, if there is a issue the owner has his personal number posted and is there in less then 20 minutes.
I gave 4 stars as the machines, need more big machines.
