Serious Pie is exceptional. They know how to make a pizza and they have multiple locations. The South Lake Union location has plenty of comfortable seating and some friendly service. My relative insisted to know a co-worker who praised it. Prices are a bit high at twenty for a full pizza. My clam and proschuitto pizza came after twenty minutes. The ingredients bode well and no noticeable corners were cut. They were rich and helped the pizza, something meat can struggle to do. The pizza was both soft and crunchy. It was unusually good. In the morning, they serve biscuits. How about this over Domino’s sometime.

The Pizza is quite good. the prices are insane. $ 18 – 20 for a single serving. for a lunch spot this is unacceptably expensive. I’m looking forward to Ballard Pizza Company opening up in the same area. maybe competition will drive prices down and quality up. but for now it’s a one and done.

Wow – I am really behind on my reviews. I was at Serious Pie on Westlake at Thanksgiving. Nine of us(including 3 kids under 3-years old) dropped in for breakfast before taking on the town. First of all, I need to mention that the service was spectacular. Everyone was very efficient and very nice – which might be kind of hard for a server when you are looking at 2 babies and a toddler who throw everything on the floor and make a mess for you to clean up. Our waitress was a sweetheart! Secondly, the food was awesome! I had the baked egg skillet with ham and cheese. I’ve really never had anything like it. Served in an iron skillet, done to perfection, very tasty, very filling(I didn’t need lunch that day). I’d definitely get it again. My fiends got the fried chicken and bisquits, and a pizza(I forget which one) and they raved about their brunch selections. Lots of cool, craft drinks too. And you can sample drinks and beers at the bar – which we did while waiting for our table. Plus they make their own charcuterie. We had to ask a lot of questions about it, since you can see the meats hanging there, and the staff was very knowledgeable and informative. Great people, great food. I’ll definitely go back next time I’m in Seattle.

The beer selection and pizza crust cannot be beat. the arugula and prosciutto pizza was perfection — not too heavy, very flavorful. My friend’s roasted mushroom and truffle cheese pizza was also delicious but much heavier on the cheese. A bit nap inducing. I was bummed to find out they stop serving biscuits at 3pm on weekdays, but I guess that means I’ll be back on a weekend soon!

The wait was quite lengthy for a table for 5 for New Year’s Day brunch but it was definitely worth the wait. We went to one of the other Serious Pie’s a few weeks ago but this one had the signature biscuits and that’s what I ordered. Judging from other tables orders, you couldn’t go wrong with anything on the menu. For sure a return trip is in order.

There are many options of pizza toppings to choose from on the menu. With an open kitchen, the hint of what is cooking wafted into the dinning room. I ordered two pizzas, «roasted seasonal mushrooms, truffle cheese» and the«mortadella, collins orchard pears, scamorza, pistachios». I liked the second one more because of pear used as an ingredient, it was sweet and yummy. With our meals as a flat bread, it made the crust burn easily. But if you overlook the crust, the toppings are worth trying.

Sometimes there are combos that you just can’t do wrong, and biscuits & gravy is one of those amazing food pairings that are just great. How does Serious Pie/Biscuit make it better? By adding juicy fried chicken to the mix too. It’s really a glorious combination that makes your mouth water just thinking about it. If you’re feeling ambitious on during your Monday brunch, you can even add a fried egg and bacon to your biscuits. They also offer egg skillets baked in a wood stove with various ingredients paired with a nice toasty biscuit. Everything asked amazing as expected, and if there’s a long wait and you’re in a hurry, you can skip the line and go to their self-serve bar and have some quick biscuits and gravy before braving the heavy rain we’re having.

Not bad but not great in my humble opinion. I’m fr California if that makes any difference. But have eaten pizza in NY, Chicago, and other places around the world. Maybe if this is Seattles best then I’d prefer to wait till I get back to California for pizza. It’s not bad but not really worth my time to come here. Ordered 2 pizzas to go, one which was the potato gold and the other was a meat pizza that was better but not great. I wish the crust was crispier and the dough was a bit soft toward the middle of each pie. Kinda disappointed but glad I tried it. If you’re wondering… We ate a couple slices right of the box when we received the pizza then took the rest back for another friend to try it later. I definitely had to try it when the pizza is hot! It’s the only way to go.

1,100+ reviews can’t be wrong, Serious Pie/Biscuit is really, really good. No matter the time of day, I’ll always go with a pizza. Usually the clam, but I’ve been known to mix it up from time to time. Crust has a great texture and the ingredients(no matter what combination you go with) always play well together. If you’re coming in on the weekend, expect to wait a little bit. Don’t get discouraged however, the food is worth the wait.

Came in for brunch today. When we came it looked full, but we were seated right away upstairs. I noticed when we left there was a little bit of a wait. Once seated the waitress promptly gave us some water and a little time to look over the menu. I ended up getting ‘the Zach’ and my friend got the crispy hamhock with collard greens. We then shared the Chocolate Date bread pudding. This is the best biscuits and gravy I’ve ever had. The gravy is flavorful without being too salty.(I tasted my friend’s hamhock and greens, but that was a little too salty for me.) After having our biscuits they brought out the sticky bread pudding. Small dessert easy enough to share after filling ourselves with the biscuits. The cakey part was flavorful and sweet and I loved the banana ice cream it was topped with. All in all I loved this meal and I’ll definitely check it out again.

I studied this menu before coming to dine for breakfast. I’m from San Diego and 2 weeks before my trip I already knew what I wanted to eat when I came here. When I got here, I walked very proudly to the counter and placed my order with a side of grits. I got the ham hock with collard greens and man… I made the right choice! I was so happy! I wanted more. I didn’t want to see the Space Needle or the Pacific Science Center and all the other stuff… I just wanted to spend my time here at the Serious Pie and Pie up all day long!!! PLEASECOMETOSANDIEGO!!!

Damn, Becky, did you see those biscuits? Them big biscuits, Becky. I stopped in and sampled the delicious option of the chicken, biscuit, egg, gravy goodness. It was all that, no chips needed. I could barely finish it, I believe I required help, actually. I didn’t the pizza(duh, too full) but it’s a nice ‘one stop’ that you can get both in one space. Directions: Order at the counter, sit down, get the good food, waddle out.

This is smaller version of serious pie and serious biscuit combined. Both are Tom Douglas’s restaurants. I’be been there a few times now. The restaurant is divided in two sections. Serious biscuit is the café type area. Great place to have a light brunch it breakfast. You order and pick up your order. They have one of the best coffee in Seattle. Biscuits are great but not a lot of variety. The menu is limited. The series pie section is more of a sit down place with a bar area. The mainly have pizza and salads. All tasting amazing and unique. You have to try the pizza here. Especially during their happy hour is when you can order a few smaller pizza and taste more than one, each pizza is unique and taste great. I love their kale salad. The drinks are ok, not something to die for. It gets quite crowded after work hour during the happy hour time but less busy any other time.

Tom Douglas has a few restaurants in Seattle specializing in different types of cuisine(e.g., Etta’s for seafood, Lola is Greek-inspired, Dahlia Lounge for bakery items and breakfast). We went to Serious Pie, which runs about $ 18 a pizza and is money well spent. The three of us shared two pizzas, and it was just the right amount of food. My sister and her dude are obsessed with pizza, and this is his new favorite spot. Service was quick and friendly. There’s a bar downstairs that plays football. One of the workers saw that someone in our party had a Baltimore Ravens hat. Apparently he’s from Baltimore too, so he let us know that he tries to turn on the Ravens games when they’re on. This is definitely a place I would come back to chill and watch a game.

I’ve only been here three times, but already I can say with confidence that this place has some of the best pizza(«pie») in Seattle. The specialty(«experimental»?) dishes are always amazing to try, and going with friends is always an experience because everyone usually orders something different, and experiments taste-testing others’ slices. As detailed as possible, here’s the breakdown: 1) CRUST: The crust always feels flimsy and thin, but this seems to be the style of Serious Pie & Biscuit. As a signature, the outside is always thick & rounded, and the centre is thin and consistent. 2) TOPPINGS: The choice of custom toppings makes the pie more expensive than if you pick a pre-defined option, which is why I’m giving this a 3⁄5. Having the ability to fully customize your experience without having to pay more is the signature of a good customer experience. 3) SPECIALS: This place has some *awesome* specials though. Last time I had the classic«Arugula/Egg/Prosciutto» pizza, as well as their daily special, which was *AMAZING*(it changes daily, however the one we had was a spicy one — I forget the exact toppings). 4) VALUE: For the money, it’s «decent». I remember the first time I came here the pie being bigger, but I felt like the most recent visits have had smaller and smaller pies. Maybe this is just a perception bias, but if it’s going to cost $ 17 per pie, I expect a size that should actually make me full. In terms of value for *quality*, it’s «meh» too — again, paying almost $ 20 per pie shouldn’t be the«norm» for just«any food in Seattle». If I wanted a premium experience, I’d go to Shiro’s. If I want to spend time with friends and not break the bank, I’d look elsewhere than here, though. 5) ATMOSPHERE: The atmosphere is fairly laid back. The staff are all helpful and awesome, however if it gets busy you can get lost in the throng of folks who are also waiting to be served. Luckily two of the three times I went there weren’t that many folks there, but I could see how the quality of service would degrade as the venue reached capacity. 6) LOCATION: This particular location is out of the way for those who want to be closer to downtown/Belltown, since it’s north-ish in the SLU district. While it’s smack-dab in the middle of Amazon’s main campus, if you and your friends aren’t working there, this place is definitely not close to the beaten path. All in all, this isn’t a *terrible* place to be by any means, but it wouldn’t be my first choice to go, if there were other high-quality pizza options in Downtown/Belltown/SLU Seattle areas.

Let’s start about what I don’t like about this place: 1) the«Zach» which is biscuit, fried chicken, bacon, fried egg, and gravy is fairly expensive at $ 14, 2) my plate of food looked really small for what I paid, 3) the wait or 2 people this morning was 30 mins. Now, let’s go over why those are far from negatives: 1) I’m complaining cause it was so damn good and I want to keep eating more but the price will keep this poor grad student from overdosing, 2) it was actually a ton of food and I was more than full from finishing it. Not sure I could have finished had I not skipped breakfast and worked out right beforehand, 3) that wait just speaks to how popular this place is and rightfully so! Other things to note about this location: there’s a side«bar» area where you can get coffee while you wait for a table. It’s also akin to a bar in that it’s open seating and you can order what you want if you have a table. There’s also a few open seating tables outside. Afaik, the full menu is offered there too. All the waiters and waitresses were super nice. Despite being super busy, our waitress was very attentive and refilled our coffees twice during our 30 min meal without us ever having to flag her down. The décor of the place is also really cool. It kind feels like a lodge, pretty homey. I was able to sit upstairs and got to see the wood fired oven they use to make the biscuits and see the fridge they use to cure their meat. All in all, wouldn’t hesitate to come back here for another meal!

Vacation time in Seattle, our first stops here in Seattle was this spot for brunch, fairly loud crowd of folks, at first glance place is very modern, I liked how this place was designed, kids menu is decent sadly no pancakes like my son would have wanted but still decent choices Here is what we sampled and how it faired The Zack with a fried egg buried in the middle — heavy, good portion, taste wise was excellent, sadly I did not care for the biscuit, I know I know biscuit is there specialty but hey im not a fan haha, the fried chicken was juicy piping hot with a crispy bite even though it is smothered in white gravy, the fried egg was more of a filler but who doesn’t like a fried egg??? I recommend this plate, again for me minus the biscuit Crispy Hamhock, collard greens, smoked onions — last item on the larger plates, glad I ordered it, the crispy hamhock was not so crispy but the hamhock was delicious, this aint your honey ham store bought this was tender, not hard, borderline pulled pork style perfectly paired with the collard greens, the smoked onions didn’t really notice, but Jesus that pork!!! Delicious My son had the banana with biscuit and two sauces one was there housemade peanut butter with nuts have ground, the other was a syrup kinda stole this from my son and put it on the biscuit I had, yes it was a lighter syrup again I think it is made in house so it had a different taste, let me just say well done. On a whole not a bad pit stop for our first meal in Seattle, definite must try if you like fried chicken smothered in white gravy with an egg if not that hamhock!!! food **** deliciousness minus the biscuit for me price $$ service **** very attentive staff ambiance ***** very modern, decorative, love the bar area, love the open kitchen on the side

Serious Pie is SERIOUSLY amazing ! To put the kale salad simply, its the best damn salad i’ve ever eaten… Ever . The zach biscuit was amazing as was the one with fried green tomato. They were making some pizza’s that looked amazing but we were super full. Service was great & the restaurant its self is beautiful with an open kitchen and bakery. I don’t know when I will be back to Seattle, but when I am… I will be back!
