Seattle Metaphysical Library

Ballard has an underground library. Seriously. It is literally underground and unmarked. Next to the Great Harvest Bread Company there is this glass door. Go ahead open the door and check it out. Once you do open the door, you go down a set stairs which takes you to a somewhat creepy hallway with no windows (you are underground). This long hallway eventually leads you to the Metaphysical Library.
The library is not huge, but it is crammed with a staggering amount of unique material. Most of the material here you will not find at the Seattle Public Library. Topics include: ancient civilizations, «quantum psychology,» para psychology, yoga literature, cosmic consciousness, shamanism, ayahuasca… etc.
The hours can be a bit wacky, so check their web page. Membership is $ 40.00 for a year. This allows you to checkout up to three books at a time.

Very cool place and its where Comedy Sportz is located, that was a really great time and will return at least once a month to watch the show. If you love improv shows, this is for you!
