San Fernando Roasted Chicken

Well, it WAS pretty delicious… but now it’s not ’cause it’s CLOSED!

Awesome chicken! The half chicken meal with salad and fries is an amazing bargain. My meals have been super hot and fresh. Very satisfying.

I came here on opening DAY and let me tell you, it was amazing. I’m no food connoisseur but I can tell you that the chicken was moist, the rice was good, and the verde sauce was incredible. we literally were their first customers and jokingly we asked the waiter if it was free since we were their firsts, and the waiter wasn’t very friendly so she kind gave a really dead chuckle and walked off. turns out it was free! we couldn’t believe it, we tipped 25 dollars of course though so not really. completely enchanted with the place, I ended up going two more times more, not to mention that I had a five dollar coupon for the same chicken (2.50 $ off). Now, here is why I gave this place one star. The food was good and I don’t ever care too much about service but DAMN DOES THIS PLACE HAVE HORRIBLE SERVICE. All of three times we had to wait ridiculous amounts of time in an EMPTY restaurant, which in good company isn’t a big deal but each time it just got increasingly worse. They never refilled our glasses, we had to walk up to the kitchen to get any kind of attention, and the girl working was the just so unenthusiastic and uninterested. After waiting half an hour for our check the third time I was so fed up I haven’t been back since. That verde sauce though… mmmmm

Reminded me a little of this bomb ass, wood grilled chicken I had in Ecuador several years ago. Probably not as good as Ecuador but much better than chicken from just about anywhere else in Seattle.
The rice and beans were proper. And I knew they were legit when I saw salchipapas (fried salchichas + papas fritas) on the menu. It sounds terrible, but it’s pretty damn delicious when you’ve had a few drinks.

All hail the glory that is San Fernando Roasted Chicken. Inside the unassuming storefront, they serve some of the best rotisserie chicken you’ll find in Seattle, along with a green chile sauce that is UNREAL. It’s cool, hot, salty and sweet, all at once.
I have no idea if this is authentic, but if it is, Peru just shot to the top of the world-​food-​tour list so I can sample the chickens in the native environment.
Go there, White Center peoples. Get the chicken. Get it again.
They do to-​go orders that are quickly ready to take home, so if you are late for dinner and haven’t defrosted the menu for the evening, stop in and pick up a bird.

This place is so good. Disregard the fact that currently it’s always empty and the set up of the dining area is lacking. The chicken makes up for it. And I like the green sauce that comes in the bottle when you dine in. Yumm

So very good. This is the best Peruvian food I’ve found in a restaurant. I have yet to try their Rainier location, but both this one & Lynnwood are great.

Delicious. I lived in Colombia for 2 years and loved the traditional almuerzo (lunch) of chicken, rice, beans and salad. There aren’t many Colombian restaurants in Seattle so this is the closest I’ve found and it’s just as good. The chicken is amazing and the beans are perfect. These guys are going to get to know me well because I’ll be coming back again and again.

Excellent chicken — moist and tender.
I also loved the Seco de lomo; a kind of Peruvian pot roast with beans and rice. The service was friendly and the restaurant clean. Overall, a great addition to the WC!

Order the Chicken-it’s moist, flavorful & you won’t want to share.
I ordered the Chicharonis, very dry & hard. Perhaps that’s how they are served, I’m not sure as it’s my 1^st time ordering this.
We only tried those 2 things & I’d go back in a heartbeat for the chicken.
