Stale service and atmosphere. Had to wait twenty minutes for service even though there was one employee there just sitting around. They couldn’t manage to crack a smile either. During my facial, they used old stained towels and linens and a ton of acetone-smelling chemical products. Won’t return there.

DONOTGOTOTHISNAILSALON… unless you want to wait 45 min. to be seen and have a simple mani/pedi take 2.5 hours. I have been to many nail salons and this salon is not sanitary and the quality of service is way below average. If you feel like waiting and over paying for sub-par quality/service go to this nail salon. My advice would be to keep looking.

If you’re tired and need some pampering, go for the pedicure. My pedicure was 45 minutes and included lower leg massage. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! I have been getting my nails done here for at least 4 years. Call for an appt so you don’t have to wait.

The sign outside says Salon Aileen, the magazines inside are addressed to Seattle Nails. All I know is, I got a pedicure today, and it was fine. There must be a thousand little Vietnamese-owned nail salons in south Seattle, but I never go to them. I always go to one of those name-brand places like Gene Juarez or Aveda, either at the mall or in a neighborhood that’s hard to park. And why? So I can pay twice as much? So I can feel fat and frumpy? So I can be assured of a certain level of quality, some would say, but you need only search for nail salons on Unilocal to figure out that’s not always the case. So I figured I should explore the nail salons in my own neighborhood, and save myself a couple of bucks. For $ 20 I got my callouses sanded down and my cuticles cleaned up acceptably(but not awesomely) by the owner, and I got the best leg/foot massage ever from the owner’s daughter(Are 17-year-olds allowed to provide salon services? Don’t ask, don’t tell). The facility was clean if a bit shabby, and I’d certainly have no qualms about returning. But there are still 999 other nail salons to try down here. I’ll let you know which one’s the best.
