Roaring Mouse Creative Arts Studio

We just had my daughter’s 4^th birthday party here and it was excellent. We cannot wait to come back for future classes or parents’ night out. Specific likes about the party: the playroom had great collection of work/​toys. I loved that it was totally fine for kids to leave art table, play, and then be called back for next phase of project. Really love the gated entry. It actually felt nice and cool in the studio despite the heat. Appreciated that it was a nice space for parents of the party participants to hang out in. Our teacher was Emily, who was great and very patient. Showed great respect for each kid and parent. Overall great vibe!

I recently had my son’s 4^th birthday at the Roaring Mouse. Cheryl was very helpful and accommodating. She helped me pick an age appropriate arts and crafts project that was a Super Hero themed (a theme we picked and Cheryl gave us 3 options to choose from). We showed up a bit early (Cheryl wanted a chance to straighten up before we arrived) so we left for 15 minutes while Cheryl set up. At 15 minutes prior to the party, we came back in and set up. There was a play area for the kids inside, that occupied the kiddos while everyone arrived. The project was broken up into 2 parts. We served food in between, then cupcakes afterwards. You really do not need many decorations, as this IS an art studio. We brought a «Happy Birthday» banner, two table covers and a 6 foot Captain America cut out. Everything went great and I would highly recommend this for 3 and 4 year olds (this was the age group of the kids in my group, but I’m sure it would be great for older kids as well).

It used to be good… but it has gone down hill recently. Not sure if there’s been a change in teachers or what… one of my girls still has accidents and it says on their webpage «as of Dec. 1^st all kids doing kids night out must be potty trained.» well it’s not yet Dec. 1^st and we had already paid so I had my kids go tonight. When I picked them up one was crying that her bottom hurt and that the teachers would not help her in the bathroom. The teacher told me that our bag was not labeled so she didn’t know which was theirs so didn’t want to put the wrong clothes on a kid. My girls know which bag is theirs and there were not that many other bags anyway and my kids can easily tell teachers which is theirs. I think they just did not want to bother with poop. Well, now my poor girl has a very raw red bottom with skin broken down. This could get infected. What kind of place would do that to a little kid? I realize in the future we will not be going because our kids are not yet potty trained but once they are I would be wary to take my kids to this place because kids will have accidents and if the staff would let stool sit on a kids bottom for hours like that they are not good people! I’m a hospice nurse so usually a kind gentle person who gives people the benefit of the doubt but in this case I really believe they did not care and I will not allow anyone to watch my children that does not care. My poor girl was crying while saying «I do not want to ever go back there. They did not help me when I pooped and it was on my bottom. My bottom hurts so bad. They are bad people» Yes, she’s 3.5 and has a lot of words but is not yet totally potty trained. Anyway, she could easily tell them which bag was her bag of clothes! I am just so mad anyone could do this to a child. She is sad and cannot understand why they did not help her and was crying for over an hour after I picked her up. This is totally unacceptable!

My son was enrolled in their Art Camps, 9 am to 12:00
The cost came to $ 50 per day.
I thought the staff were very friendly and enjoyed their work. The arts studio was charming and inviting. I only wish I could stay to see my son making his art. There were art projects that they kids bring home, and other projects that stay at the school.
They have a small playground with a cute, miniature fantasy garden.
I think they deserve the golden teddy award. I would recommend this art studio to any parent.

My daughter went to a one week summer art camp here and had a wonderful time. The teachers were kind, helpful, and engaged, and there were endless supplies of interesting materials and art projects. On the last day they had an «art show» and my daughter and the other children were delighted to show off all their amazing artwork. I couldn’t believe how much they had done in a week, and the variety and quality of the art. I hear they have drop-​in art classes after school during the school year. We will definitely look into that!

I wish we’d found this place sooner!
We stumbled across Roaring Mouse after a bad experience at another preschool. We were looking for something fun for our almost 3-​year-​old girl to take up at least one morning each week. We would’ve signed up for more if they’d had openings.
For the past 5 months, our daughter has fully enjoyed her time in «art class» where she gets to explore a wide variety of textures and methods of making art. She has worked with clay, metal, paint, crayons, markers, glitter and so much more. She even had an art show where she got to show off some of the things she’d been making. And, I’ve seen art work from other classes displayed at Diva Espresso nearby. How fun for kids to be in a public show!
For Mothers Day and Fathers Day, the kids made gifts for their parents. What a wonderful surprise that was for us!
We already had other plans for full-​time preschool once our daughter was old enough, so we won’t be going to Roaring Mouse next year. However, I have a one-​month-​old, and I fully intend for her to go to Roaring Mouse as soon as she’s old enough.

The Roaring Mouse studio is charming and inviting for all. Schedule offers classes for the littlest artist as well as a creative array of classes after school for older kids. Well thought and definitely needed in the mix of busy lives. Parking is very tricky so carpool or get there a few minutes early to nab a space. I don’t know if there are adult classes but that would be nice!

It’s been a few years, but they have wonderful art classes for kids of all ages, and a pre-​school-​like program for kids ages 2.5 — 4ish that’s really quite special.
Great space, gifted teachers, quality art materials to use. I especially like that they treat the kids AND their art with a great deal of respect. Check it out!
