Rhea Healing Essentials

Today I went to a Reiki session with Kate and I am feeling amazing. Kate is a truly gifted healer. I was able to let go of emotional baggage. I’m standing taller and feeling fantastic. Thank you, Kate :-)

Just had my first massage here today. It was a nice clean place across from the Fred Meyers on 85^th. I parked across the street in the Top Ten Toys parking lot even though it said no other parking allowed my car was fine when I came out from my hour appointment. I made sure to print and fill out my paperwork (2 pages) and bring it in so that I wouldn’t have to fill it out there to save time. Plus I tend to run a little late so that helped me save some time. lol I made an appointment with Sarah due to the previous reviews. She was very nice and pleasant, but I don’t think she is the right masseuse for me. And I think she knew it as well, because she suggested someone else after my massage who does more of a deep tissue massage. ha I am not a petite woman so I love and need a deep a tissue massage to help alleviate my neck/​lower back/knee/&feet pain. So, although she wasn’t right for me. I can see her being right for other people who don’t require deep tissue massage. It’s so hard to find a great masseuse who does what I need them to do every single time. But, I plan to keep looking.

My body has been achey since the stick said ‘pregnant’. Thirty weeks into the pregnancy I discover Sarah at Rhea Healing Essentials! She is amazing! I told her how much I miss sleeping on my stomach and she made it possible for me to have a massage with me on my stomach! I’ve called around and not many people offer this. I could have spent the night on that table. She relieved a lot of my lower back pain and made me feel so relaxed! I can’t wait to go back!!!

I scheduled an appointment for chakra balancing with Cathy. I’m so glad I did it was amazing. She is very sensitive to your preferences. I love to talk and understand what blockages exist. The awareness helps me have a better understanding of myself and how I can shift paradigms in the future. She was extremely accurate, compassionate, and helped me feel so supported.
I’m going back in a couple weeks and can’t wait to see her again.

I have been going to Rhea for about 3 years now and cannot applaud them enough. They are professionals whose expertise is only matched by their compassion. I have chronic back problems and the people at Rhea help keep me going. They don’t have a rigid approach, but adapt their skills and technique to my issues in general and in the moment. I can’t say how many times I’ve hobbled in there in pain and walked out feeling illogically, remarkably better! They also work seamlessly with insurance companies, which has been a tremendous relief for me. Lastly, it’s nice knowing that in one place I can access such a variety of practitioners and expertise. I highly recommend Rhea to anyone coping with pain, soreness, inflexibility, or even just looking for a little break and relief in life!

After being in here a dozen times, I guess it’s about time I write a review. Things I love at Rhea:
1. Online booking — It’s SO nice being able to find out what appointments are available and instant booking. They send you a text reminder (if you want) which is helpful for me.
2. Sarah. Wow, Sarah. Sarah’s my go-​to for massage and massage/​reiki combos. Having gone to massage school (and I’m sure anyone who has been to massage school knows), I have a hard time not spending my entire session focusing on the therapist’s techniques trying not to analyze. Sarah has been the first therapist that I’ve had in years that I don’t do that with. She incorporates reiki into the sessions if you want and that extra level of relaxation is phenomenal. I have some chronic issues due to previous injuries and Sarah’s attunement to your body relieves not only stress built up in that area, but the supporting areas you didn’t even realize. I highly recommend her!
3. Cathy, the Reiki Master. Words truly don’t describe how fantastic she is. I’ve received reiki from dozens of people and Cathy is by far the best. Her mannerisms and whole approach is extremely relaxing. For as much as I love massages (and I never thought I’d say this because I LOVE massages), I’d take one of Cathy’s reiki treatments over a massage any day. My mom (who has never had reiki) was in town from St Louis last month and I took her to Cathy without really giving her any info on reiki or Cathy for that matter… she spent the last 3 days gushing over Cathy and how it was the most relaxed she could remember being. I love Cathy!!!
I’ve considered trying out others because they all get such wonderful reviews, but I can’t get away from my ladies! The fact that so many of the women here have such fantastic reviews is a good indication you’re in good hands no matter who you choose.

I managed a same-​day appointment (within like 3 hours of booking) for a massage here after I could hardly move. I work in the area, but live on the Eastside, so after several calls to places around home (and to my regular spot) I decided to check reviews on Unilocal and see what I could find.
Love that you can schedule online. First massage is only $ 55.
I would absolutely come here again if I found myself with time after work. It’s a bit far to go if I’m not already in the area, but otherwise it was a great massage. Different (but in a good way) approach to massage from my regular person. I left in much better shape than when I arrived.

I was seeing Brooke for about a year at Rhea. She is the best massage therapist I have ever had. Her energy is great, her technique is fabulous. She uses some positioning techniques to stretch the muscles during a massage. She is the best massage therapist I have ever had, and now that I have moved away from Seattle I miss her so much! If you are looking for a fantastic massage, Brooke at Rhea is the way to go!!! They also do a discount if you buy a few massages in a package and come back!

Went in for the first time today. Got an appointment for a massage with Brooke S. The place is nice & the atmosphere is very comfortable. And Brooke is a GREAT massage therapist! I will absolutely go back & will recommend my friends.

Sheila is a gifted healer. I had the pleasure of receiving a massage + reiki session from her and I feel like a veil I didn’t know was there has lifted. The massage was great, but the reiki was truly impressive!

I can’t tell you how amazing this was for me. I’ve had Reiki healing before, and massage… but adding Sheila as the practitioner must have been the missing piece. I am so excited for my future appointments. Sheila was able to work out my problem areas, but also break through some energetic issues I was having. I feel refreshed and recharged, and light as air again. A million stars!

Oh man, I just had a really great massage from Jessica. It was thorough and really targeted my problems this day. She pulled some interesting moves which also stretched out my tight muscles. Really nice session! It was a full body massage where she used the strength of her full body and even leveraged herself against me for some good, slow movements. Excellent!
My first massage was with Laurie, and that was also thoughtful and she really listened to what was happening that day and I had a great massage.
Janna and Sheila are sweet, and Reiki sessions are on my radar.

Rebecca is simply wonderful. Her energy is fantastic. Her knowledge of anatomy and use of the body to assist in its own healing is impressive. I am so thrilled to be able to get massages from her.

I had my first Reiki session with Rebecca in March, 2011 and I couldn’t have been more impressed. I used a groupon that they put out and it was a great intro to Reiki. I plan to go back again! I was a little skeptical about energy work but there was definitely something to it and after my first session there was a positive shift in my life.

Rebecca Collias is wonderful! Gentle and strong, she eased my semi-​permanent shoulder knots and made my computer-​scrunched back feel great. Really nice and skillful.

I have been receiving massages from Janna Bishop since December 2009. I couldn’t ask for a better massage therapist than Janna.
Before she has me get situated on the table for the massage, she sits down with me for a brief (about 10 minutes) consultation to ask how I’m feeling (physically and emotionally). This is very helpful (for me anyway) as far as giving me some grounding and awareness of what problem areas/​muscles it would be best for her to hone in on with me.
She plays soothing music, has a warm comfortable massage table, and the atmosphere in the treatment room is incredibly calming.
After the 60 minute massage, Janna checks in with me to ask how I’m feeling.
Janna is a caring, compassionate massage therapist with healing hands. I totally recommend her services.
There’s also a small area in the front filled with products from local artists (jewelry, candles, essential oils, herbal supplements, and canvas artwork). Purchasing these products is a great way to support your local community!

Such a unique, nurturing experience! Having been through a lot of physical trauma in the past I am so happy to have found someone with such a gift. Janna has a wonderful, calming and soothing energy and you can feel that she genuinely cares about making a connection with you in order to give you the best treatment possible. Her skills and intuition are incredible. In just a couple of sessions she has helped me become more in tune with my body and has helped me begin to release years of tension and stored up negative energy. I always leave feeling balanced and blissful. Thank you Janna!
