Came here on a seahawks game night, Friday 8⁄22. Place was closed, looked trashed inside, not a sign on the door. Not sure what happened but they should probably post something notifying customers of closure.

I was really excited about trying this West Seattle establishment recently for a World Cup game. While it had a lot of potential with a good location, it failed to execute an overall good experience. To start– the environment inside is a little cold and sterile. It was so chilly, I regretted not wearing a jacket inside. However, the part that bothered me the most was the service. From what I could tell, there was only one server staffing the entire restaurant. Keep in mind, this was on the day U.S.A played Belgium in the World Cup– Big game! It was hopping in there(being a sports bar) but only one server! That was INSANE. From the time we got our drinks, we waited more than 30 minutes just to order our food and then another 30 minutes to receive it. When the food finally arrived, the server brought out the wrong order! When I pointed it out to her– she said«oh sorry– do you want me to take this back?» Is that even a question she should be asking? She brought out something I didn’t order so yes, I expected her to fix it. The saving grace was the food. Once the right order came out, it really was tasty. Looking at other people’s orders, the food looked pretty good. It’s the only reason I haven’t written this place out yet.

Great sports bar, food is cheap and pretty good for the price. Great Seattle dawg. Nice atmosphere and great for kids too which is nice when mom and dad want to catch a game. In general a really good neighborhood sports bar. Nothing fancy and probably not as great of a beer selection as some but you can’t beat the prices. $ 4 apps and not even happy hour!

What a great place. Stopped by after a local show and had wonderful service(friendly efficient bartender) and the food was yummy– hummus, sliders, awesome wings and the chef even made a special gluten free, vegan dish for one of us!!! Bubba rocks! Plus they have skeet ball and other fun games! We’re definitely making this a regular stop.

This place is an absolute DUMP. I live very close and I was like great a place I can watch sports and maybe be a «regular»…not a chance. I’ll take my chances getting stabbed somewhere else.

I was hesitant about Redline from the beginning because, let’s face it, it’s not The Bridge. There’s no cozy dark bar because it’s in a brand new and kind of garish looking building, but the food is delicious! I don’t know many other places who serve vegetarian black bean sliders that are simply amazing. My friends get pizza that they like to call«Ninja Turtle pizza»(heavy on the cheese and the accompanying grease). They love it. I dig the Redline’s in-house beer, and you can always count on them to have sports shows on the television. Simply put, the more I go, the more comfortable I am there. Sometimes other people are loud, but it’s a bar, so what do you expect? The waitstaff and bartenders have been nothing but helpful every time we’ve gone. I only hope they stay open – since The Bridge moved, the Redline has filled in as a great little watering hole.

To all the people that dissed this place… F you. This is a new business in a pretty shitty location with«bad» décor… Suck it up! If you don’t like the f*ing bar then don’t go there. Nations(one of the bartenders) is amazing. Super receptive and very polite. Yes, the layout is not the best and neither is the parking… But if you know how to take the BUS then that’s right across the street… Walking is also great if you’re drinking in an effing bar. So. I will be coming back and drinking their beer and eating their food. And watching the Olympics.

Let me make this simple for you if you are looking for a real sports bar, this is not your place. It should be illegal for a bar to claim to be a «sports bar» when they don’t have Direct TV and don’t have the Sunday Ticket or sports package. When I asked them to change it to ESPNU, they weren’t sure if they got that channel. I asked for my check and left. The server also said it’s too expensive to have Direct TV, so they have the same cable feed on multiple TV’s on the same wall. If there are three TV’s on one wall, we should be able to watch three different games. The sever put his hands on my shoulder several times and I’m not a fan of being touch by my server. The food is below average bar food. The pizza only comes in one size which seems weird to me. It is sold frozen that way? If it was fresh, I would think that different sizes would be made. Parking is also a joke. Don’t waste your time, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else to watch the game.

Cool place to watch the game but the food sucks 100%. I don’t think this place will make it to summer. I hope it makes it but it does not seem like it will

I’m not sure how I feel about this place anymore. My last two visits have been less than great. Most recent visit was for a pick up order to find my sliders slathered with mayo when the slider doesn’t have mayo on it in the past. Went back to get it fixed and the bartender told me there was ‘always mayo’ with that slider.(I guess their good kitchen people weren’t working that day.) When I got it fixed, I got something completely different than I ordered. I went back and politely asked for a refund. The older guy bartender that was helping me just gave me $ 12 cash back when in fact it was a $ 13.00 order. I had to ask twice to refunded on my card. First time I asked he told me the system wouldn’t allow it, but apparently probably didn’t want to help me. To top it off it was during a game where some of the male drunk clientele were harassing me while I was waiting for my food to be fixed. This part is not Red Line’s fault, but it was just really annoying. My other last visit I went with a friend before I had the issue with the bartender. I found it a bit too personal for my waiter asking me questions like«how much money I make» and«how much I paid for rent». I don’t mind if people ask me what field I’m in, but personal finances is not polite conversation and I felt extremely uncomfortable. As much as I really want to support this new neighborhood restaurant and genuinely like most of the staff and the food; I’m not digging how I’ve been serviced the last two times in a row. Also, I find their happy hour to be on the pricier side, but I guess that isn’t the point. :/

We went into the«new» redline with optimism and curiosity. I was unimpressed with the cold environment and the minimal«all ages» seating, even thought they boast it’s a family restaurant. I ordered a round for myself and four friends, the bartender Nations scolded one of my friends for ordering a cocktail a certain way and then proceeded to lecture her about bar etiquette. We then asked about a friend who we heard worked there, and he informed us she«chose not to show for her shift and she’s fired». I have been in the local industry for ten years and been in restaurant management for almost 20 years and I have never seen a bartender represent a business so poorly. They also claim to be a sports bar and yet have no sports packages only network channels. Not so Sports — Friend or — Family

I wish these guys the best but, I can’t see myself returning. We went for a Seahawks game and it took us forever to find a parking spot(tip park at the YMCA and walk). We got inside and it was like a cafeteria very cold atmosphere. The glare on the tv was so bad we were constantly trying to change angles to see a play. The service was so slow over 50 minutes for chicken wings sliders, tots. The chinken wings were not spicy and very tiny and the bones were brittle. The sliders were wrong(no bacon on bacon sliders???) And no tots. Then the staff were condescending so we cancelled our order and went to tallaricos and had a blast!

So– this place is interesting. The décor, as mentioned in other reviews, is a little weird. It has kinda weird lighting and not a very warm feel to the place. Almost felt like some sort of chain restaurant or something. However, our server was pretty awesome– super attentive and friendly. The pours on the bourbon were exceptional, and they have a pretty decent selection of beers too. I would definitely come back to watch a game or just hang. I have a couple buddies close by– so I can park at their place; otherwise parking isn’t so great on Avalon. Overall a pretty decent place. No hating.

I consider myself a foodie. This place seemed sub par to a middle school cafeteria. I had the salad and nachos. Cafeteria food. I give this place 3 months unless the residents of the apartment complex keeps it going.

Great happy hour deals, friendly service, quality food, lots of window square footage, family friendly area, many many TVs for watching the Hawks game or whatever other sporting events you may desire! Only minus is parking — they only have 12 spots in their lot and employees use it as well I’m pretty sure. Street parking is scarce. Bit if you can walk a couple blocks you can park by the YMCA or risk it at the TacoTime kitty corner.

Everyone in the group agreed it had a diner feel to it. Kinda like a Johnny Rocket type of place except beer, booze and pizza are featured. I really doubt I’ll return even though the pizza was good. It just isn’t warm and inviting.

Went there last night for the first time. Living in WS I’m always down to try a new location. Reading a lot of the reviews here, I was hesitant, but you can’t judge a restaurant based on a couple reviews. 1) Horrible parking situation. 2) Amazing Hot Wings… seriously, I am a huge wing fan and to finally have a place in WS that knows how to make great wings is amazing. For those that find Wing-Dom, or whatever that place is called, and LOVED them, you probably won’t like these. These are real buffalo wings. 3) Incredible, inviting, bartenders. Our guy(I believe his name is Nations) was very fun, inviting, and on the ball. 4) For people that are complaining about the atmosphere…3 weeks. They have been open three weeks. I’m sorry Russell Wilson hasn’t been in to sign a jersey to put on the wall, but he’s pretty busy this time of year. It takes time and money to develop serious memorabilia in a sports scene. And eventually they will replace the over the counter pictures with more inviting sports souvenirs, just be patient. 5) For people complaining about having kids there. Their motto is literally food-family-sports. What did you think they meant by family? If you have ever been to an applebee’s, chili’s, buffalo wildwings, then I can assume you can handle kids being around. All-in-All a great place that is still finding their shoes, but they have the right food and staff to make it a great longterm bar

I went in for lunch for the first time today, so I have not experienced it during a packed game. I had the Prime Rib dip(it is not called a french dip for a reason), it was delicious! It was a little odd that the bread it was on was more like Texas Toast than a french roll, but it really worked, and the Au Jus so so good I almost wanted to drink it. The Tater tots it came with with pleasantly seasoned and cooked to a perfect crispy outside. The prices are excellent($ 3 wells!!!) and the service was very quick(It was a slow lunchtime but they got the food out faster than expected even with that) I do agree the décor needs some work, The decals feel a bit forced like at the last minute they needed to make it sportier, I trust they will work on that in the coming months.

Let me begin by noting that if you live very close, have kids with you, and are only moderately interested in watching a game, this may be a pretty good choice for you. For someone like me, who has to drive here, has no children, and was very interested in watching the Seahawks game, this was not a good choice. Across the street, where the Redline used to be, and where The Bridge will remain for just a couple weeks, the place was rocking. The Redline in that location went from a place too scary for most the locals, to fairly gentrified, and now, in this new location, to family-friendly and utterly uninteresting to adults. First, there’s no soul to the place. They have TVs and the sort of sports decals you could have purchased in ten minutes. But there is no warmth, no personal touches, no collectibles that meant something to the owners, no photos or memorabilia, no personal or quirky touches — just a stale, diner-style décor.(This post has led me to notice that Unilocal’s «Ambiance» choices do not include«None.») Second, despite having at least a couple dozen people in Seahawks gear, they didn’t seem to take the fans’ interests very seriously. When someone finally told them we need the channels changed to the Seahawks game, a fellow(perhaps the owner?), told his customers«Just relax, people.» This was right as the team was kicking off, so it was hardly justified to mock your customers for being concerned about actually turning on the game that everyone came to see. Third, at first they would not turn the volume on during the game, and when they did it was not high enough for anyone to make out(and it was far from a raucous atmosphere). That’s would be fine for many places, but if you’re not going to have the sound up high enough for everyone to hear during a Seahawks game, it’s something like a bait and switch to call yourself a sports bar. Fourth, parking is a mess. There’s a tiny lot of with probably 8 – 10 public spots that was filled, and we had to park four blocks away. Again, that would be unsurprising if we were going to a bar in PIoneer Square or Capitol Hill, but it’s surprising in the middle of new developments off the main drag in West Seattle. Finally, the food and drinks were lackluster. I’m willing to give them a bit of pass on this because they are new and were busy. It may take them a few weeks to figure out that the thin bread they use for their French Dip and special is not appropriate for those kind of sandwiches, and becomes soggy before you try and somehow hold it together to dip in au jus. Or that tater tots should be cooked enough to hold together even when you are busy. They did have what looked like a very interesting set of choices in sliders, as well as some pretty basic old school sports bar choices of pizza, nachos, salads, etc. In summary, the food may improve a bit, and they may eventually start to take the whole sports bar thing seriously at some point, and I always wish businesses well in finding their demographic. But given the range of choices in West Seattle I can’t see any particular reason for me or any of my friends to choose this place unless they lived in the condos above and didn’t want to go out in the rain.

A really average sports bar. Came here last night to watch the Timbers-Sounders match on the recommendation of a friend who used to visit their previous location. This is my first experience with this bar, and so far it’s nothing to write home about. There’s no ‘décor’ or atmosphere at all — just tables, stools, a bar and TVs lining the wall. Two walls are almost entirely windows, and with all the televisions, the acoustics are terrible. It’s quite loud. However, if you want to watch the game, any game, they’ve probably got it(except the NHL package, they haven’t got that(yet)). The menu is exceptionally limited, especially if you happen to be gluten-free. There’s a decent selection of pizzas and sliders, some wings options(boneless and bone-in) with just a few sauces and rubs, and a few appetizers and salads of the run of the mill sort(quesadillas, nachos, tots, Caesar salad, Cobb salad — all the usual suspects). Prices are average, food is average as well. My friend had one of the sliders, which I didn’t try, but he seemed to enjoy them and mentioned that the buns were good, which often happen to be overlooked. I had the boneless wings with the teriyaki ginger sauce, and they were fine, but really nothing special. We also shared the quesadilla with chicken, which was on the small side and, again, nothing special, but it did come with all the fixin’s including guacamole, so there’s that. The one outstanding thing about this bar is the service. Our server was awesome — she checked in with us frequently, was really friendly and on the ball. They ran out of Magners(the only cider they carry, apparently, and only in the bottle) halfway through the night, so she recommended Crabbies which is an alcoholic, gluten-free ginger beer. I didn’t want to switch to liquor so I accepted, and she brought me a nice frosty glass with a lemon for the beer, and left it off the tab since they’d run out of the cider! Great service.(The Magners was $ 6/bottle, yikes!) Overall, I’m not sure if I’d come here again. There’s just nothing standout about this place. However, it was packed last night, so I don’t think they’ll have any trouble finding business with the less-discerning crowd.
