Proof Washington Distillers Festival

This was a really fun event, it was in the Industrial area near SODO which was an interesting location (especially since we took public transit and had to walk a ways). Bit the inside was beautiful and worked quite well. I believe it was the 1^st or 2^nd time they’ve had this event.
There were many, many distilleries to sample from, lots of free food tastings that were varied in type and all delicious! From sliders, to cheese, to cupcakes, to chocolate, to bread and dip!
It seemed to be a little on the fancier side as there was some press there and everyone was dressed nicely. The layout was a little confusing at first, I wish there was a little better map to find what you were looking for. With the information that we got you have to find the type of alcohol, under the brand name, then look up a number on a map to see where it was and sometimes it took a couple trys (even before I started taste-​testing).
With the purchase of an entry ticket you get so many drink tickets which you exchange at each station, you also get a free tasting shot glass (although most stations used disposable ones). There was an afternoon session and an evening one. The evening one sold out fairly quickly.
There was a separate bar set up in which you could purchase any of the alcohols being featured at the event, as well as many talented professional bartenders pulled from local bars/​restaurants that could make you any drink with any combination of the alcohols from the event for $ 7-​$ 9! It was great fun! I plan to attend next year as well!
